Henann Tawala Resort

Breakfast wasn’t great but hotel is nice. Should be allowed to use the beachside pool but it’s reserved for other visitors of the adjoining hennan. The staff were amazing especially the receptionist who checked me out, got my charger I left in the room and booked me a taxi to the airport.
Donatela Resort and Sanctuary

The hotel itself is very good, like a big manor, a small courtyard, or a log cabin, the children like it, lying in bed listening to the birds screaming. The cliff restaurant is beautiful, but the food is average. Horse riding is available in the hotel and there is a small zoo that is perfect for children. Breakfast is terrible, nothing to eat, we almost have omelettes and pancakes every day, especially if we don't know what to eat for our children. This needs to be improved, and everything else is fine. Overall, it is worth living!
Ramede Resort Bohol 라메디 리조트 보홀

Definitely not my favourite hotel - in fact I left after the first night of my 3 night booking & forfeited my payment for the remaining nights. BED... If you like sleeping on a FIRM bed similar to a timber floor, then the bed will suit you fine. If you prefer a more luxurious softer bed then book a different hotel. Even when Housekeeping put 2 comforters between the bed & the sheet, it was still HARD. BATHROOM Again very different to usual Filipino standards. On the bed were 2 face washers & 2 towels (about the size of typical western hand towels), plus in the bathroom was 2 ”Bath Towels” (narrow long flimsy open weave fabric) for exfoliating your body not drying it. Getting dry after the shower was definitely a challenge. BREAKFAST For a westerner, there was no cereal to start the day. The buffet containers for both the fried eggs & the back were empty, so I asked if they could be replenished. The hostess immediately went to the kitchen & promptly returned with a plate of fried eggs & another plate of bacon. I thought YIPPEE, I will have fresh hot breakfast, but I was sadly disappointed as both the eggs & the bacon were cold - obviously left on a bench in the kitens after being cooked sometime earlier. If you want butter to go with your sweet toast, you have to ask for it. Vegemite on sweet toast is a strange taste. Cappucino coffee is NOT included in breakfast. POWER OUTLETS If you have travelled to the Philippines you will know that their power outlets are two flat vertical pins. NOT HERE, they are the Korean recessed circular pins which made charging my devices a challenge. Thankfully reception had Korean/Filipino adapters. POOL It was nice!
Oceanica Resort Panglao (formerly South Palms Resort Panglao)

The hotel is located on the south coast of the island, right on a beautiful, quiet beach. The beach at the Cost Pool Bar is enlivened by brightly colored deckchairs in three colors - green like nature, white like the beach and turquoise like the sea. Huge palm trees with lots of hammocks, swings and swing beds complete the amazing atmosphere of this resort. The smiling and helpful staff only completes this well-being. Breakfast is served in the form of rich buffet tables in the Oceanica Seafood restaurant, where the assortment varies. Drinks, light lunches as well as dinners with fresh seafood can be ordered at the Cost Pool Bar or at the Oceanica restaurant (they are close to each other), choosing from the menu, which is the same for both restaurants. The changing live singing evening performances are also a pleasant diversion. The rooms are clean and cleaned twice a day. The reception staff provides an airport transfer (for 1-2 persons 750 PHP/13 euros/trip) - the journey takes approx. 10-15 minutes by car to Bohol-Panglao Int, Airport. Every day a free Shuttle service (9.00 am & 2.00 pm) departs to the farm of the resort ”South Farm”. Despite the fact that the beach is regularly cleaned, e.g. tractor with forks, remains of sea grass and sometimes plastic appear on the shore. You have to be wary of sea urchins, which are also white in color and are very difficult to recognize on the white sandy bottom.

I love the room view and resort amenities. I would also recommend the staff for their hospitality and help, most especially Mr. Eunard Kim Paulo Gavas. Thank you for the worthwhile stay. Will surely come back soon. 😊
