Everyone was kind, helpful and wanting to do all they could to make the Celebration of Life party for my father a great success. From Becca, with whom we liaised to set it all up, and Jess, who was in reception, to Clyde, who oversaw everything on the day, and Lewis on the bar later that evening, including Ellie at breakfast, the staff were delightful and charming. We were so very well looked after by everyone. Gavin welcomed me in the morning before the event and he put my mind instantly at ease, ensuring that I knew exactly who to speak to and who would be greeting our guests. The C&B staff were all also super but I am sorry not to have been able to read their name badges because they were working as I was speaking to guests and I am sorry to say I did not catch sight of their badges but their smiles were reassuring and they could not do enough to help. They were all marvellous too. My bedroom (306!) was gorgeous; the event room, St Anne’s Hall, was beautifully arranged; the way the staff made us all feel well looked after and that any request was readily accepted; the food was delicious and looked beautiful; the a**osphere was positive and uplifting. Breakfast was delicious. The bar food was super; having our drinks in the sun on the terrace after the event made us feel as if we were on holiday. It was a very special event overall and we feel that we gave our wonderful father a most wonderful and fitting celebration of life. Please thank everyone who worked on this event or during this event. They were all wonderful and every part of it , from the moment we were welcomed the day after my father died and we dropped by, unexpectedly, to see if it might be possible to have a Celebration of Life party - to the check out on Sunday after the event itself, was ‘top notch’! All staff were simply delightful and charming.
