Pet-friendly Hotels in Madrid

Staff was nice and allowed an early check in. Great location with the train station a five minute walk. The Prado and the plaza Mayor both very walkable. Plus, there are a number of excellent restaurants in the area. The downside is the street noise. We had a room on the 5th floor without AC which required us to have our windows open and the noise from the very busy street was deafening. And at 3 am people returning from their night out partying- laughing and yelling could be heard. I think the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. But, I would recommend a room high up with AC or in the back of the hotel.

We had SUCH a great time staying at this hotel. We were showing our visiting family what Madrid has to offer and the location of the hotel is perfect for that. Close to the best restaurants and the Sol train station making it really easy to travel around the city. The staff were able to help with anything we needed, and the gifts waiting on our door in the morning were such a great surprise! We love this place and will definitely come back.

The hotel is in a very central location at Gran Via (main shopping street). Metro station is just a few meters away. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite big. There is also a nice rooftop bar with good cocktails. Due to the location the hotel is great for a weekend trip to Madrid. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is literally across the street from the Madrid Atocha train station. Very easy to find once you exit the station. Centrally located, we walked to El Retiro park in the morning. We also did the hop-on-hop-off bus tour which dropped us off close to the hotel. Hotel itself is beautiful, every staff extremely nice and helpful. Despite the central location, we found the rooms to be quiet. We bought the buffet breakfast when we booked and it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. It is at their rooftop restaurant which not only has an amazing view, the food was DELICIOUS. Beautifully presented with many many options including an omelette/egg station. Early morning was a bit chilly in early October but they had heaters on which was an added bonus. We also had drinks and some tapas at night at the same rooftop, which were delicious as well. We would definitely return here if we are ever in Madrid again. You can't go wrong.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Exceptionally clean, really friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere in the downstairs bar area and on the roof bar, good breakfast and very comfy, well equipped room. Wasn’t too sure initially about the area but we soon felt very comfortable and found some great bars and restaurants locally off the tourist trail. Great location for walking to the centre, La Latina, El Rastro, the park (El Retiro), the art galleries and metro/train connections. Loved Madrid.

Staff were consistent in their service attitude cross all department. Helpful, polite and engaging. I will recommend this hotel to any one visiting Madrid. The location is also unbeatable. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. 5 start standard hotel !

Hotel with some (small) inconvenience due to the renovations that are being finalized. Inconveniences that they solve with kindness and with the design of the new rooms. Silent. Super comfortable beds. Spacious and complete bathroom (with real hairdryer) Mineral water and coffee available in the rooms. Value quality / price / situation of ten

Hotel location is very good, just next to Grand Avenue, you can go shopping. In addition, travel is very convenient, the door is the subway station, the sightseeing bus platform is not far away, there are several food streets around. Hotel service staff is also warm and thoughtful. It is worth mentioning that there are many Chinese restaurants around, as well as coco milk tea.

As a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. We asked for a double bed and they gave us a room with 2 beds, they told me there was a double bed but it was superior and they charged me € 40 as a supplement, it would not have cost them anything to attend to my requests, since the room they gave me was a quadruple , that if we put ourselves it was not the one I hired. On the other hand, the cleaning staff starts talking quite loudly in the corridors at an early hour.
