Das Hotel liegt zentral. In zwei Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Zimmer mit Sicht auf Fluss. Gute Schalldämmung. Zimmer sauber und gut eingerichtet. Gutes Bett. Eher klein aber ok. Wifi funktioniert sehr gut. Liegt direkt am Jakosbweg.

We are sitting on the indoor terrace, table of 6. We are informed before we ask that after 12 p.m. the price of coffee rises 1 euro and the rest of the drinks from there to the top. We ask and at 10 minutes we come to pick up towels, paperboard etc .... Hotel is very good, but I would not recommend the restaurant. Starter was excellent (3 langoustinas with carpaccio of viera). Then I had kind of steak, my husband had fabada asturiana. Both were not good, so we returned it after eating just a bit. We did not have to pay for this, which is OK, but like this it is not nice to go a restaurant.

The hotel, its rooms and the reception staff are wonderful and very friendly. The room is quite wide and very comfortable. But the cleaning service has been quite harmful. We stayed 3 nights and the second day we had to warn that our room had not been cleaned on the first day. The morning when we were going to open the door of the room at 8:50 pm without warning or excuse, giving a screw and scaring us as we were sleeping and had not to leave it until 12:00h. Unfortunate the attitude of the cleaning staff, who far from excuse****, have denied this, even having photos of the door indicators (both of making the room and of not disturbing), leaving to the direction asking forgiveness in their name.

Family food, 60 people, insupportable heat, you are warned, there are many older people, don't light the a/c, lamentable food, melody rice with calamities?? Rice passe co potros de la menor calidad, varios profesionales del pescado entre los asistentes, entrecot duro y malo, kilos de carne en bolsa para perros de una familia, supuestamente lubina extremamente salada, postre ácido, sirpe covered for hiding, water coffee 0/10. Hotel Alda Pasaja is located on a busy street with a lot of traffic, right at the centre. The outdoor life in the centre is very noisy at night and night, even with windows closed and closures in there is a lot of noise load. The lift, water use of shower, washing table and toilet is also clearly hearable. The hotel has a stopline to load baggage and a street further is a public parking garage. The hotel has a discount code for parking costs €13 per day.

This was my third visit to Gijon, and it won't be my last. A short 1 3/4 hour flight from Gatwick with Vueling, and a 1/2 hour taxi ride from OVD (Asturias) Airport and I was in town. The hotel reception staff were attentive from check-in to check-out, even helping out with a minor injury! The hotel room was spotless, with plenty of storage space, writing desk and a comfy bed. The ensuite was A1, with excellent shower and other accessories including a hairdryer and even a bidet (unused...!). The continental breakfast was fine and as expected, delicious coffee!! Gijon is not a large town but offers plenty. The expansive San Lorenso beach front with a huge promenade, makes an ideal surf beach which isn't ideal for small children, but behind the bay is another beach, near the marina, which is ideal for younger families. The restaurants, oh the restaurants... I ate two large meals a day and never at the same restaurant twice, all very reasonably priced one clear recommendation is the Fabada, a basic meal comprising of beans, with chorizo and pork (or clam), with flavours you'll never have enjoyed before! I recommend this hotel to everyone. Fun service, cleanliness, good breakfast, location near the promenade, bus station and the city centre. Thanks especially to the staff at the reception. We were stayed earlier than planned. Before the departure, breakfast was served at 6 a.m. I would like to mention a competent marketing and flexible price policy. We were very satisfied.
