Gefei Hotel (Kunming Railway Station North Square Branch)

The location of this hotel is superb, especially for people who are leaving the city on high speed railway, which is located right next to this hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children, there's a voice-control smart home system in the room where you can control the lights and curtains by summoning "小度", it was quite fun for the kids. The hotel doesn't look grand from the outside, but inside everything was well maintained and functional. Our room's window directly faced the main road, but sound proofing was good and it was quiet. Centralised air-con but no smell of cigarette smoke. If i have to try hard to pick something and make suggests, the hand basin was a little small and water splashes onto the floor easily. Consider changing to a bigger washing machine and better dryer, because it took me 4-5 hours to dry the clothes after washing and your washing machine and dryer were in high demand, ha ha. But those are not big issues, this hotel is still a very good one. Highly recommended.

New hotel with smart features! Located very near to the kunming railway station, walking distance of 5mins. I booked it last minute because I arrived at 2am and have a train to Lijiang at 7am. This hotel is perfect for this!

My second time in this hotel. I really recommend this hotel for anyone who come to Kunming by train. Beautiful, nicely decorated, the room also the same, fully equipped with a nice view. Friendly staffs as well.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, we knew the location was excellent so close to the train station. But the rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained, with all the amenities you need, including a fridge which we found to be rare in our travels and laundy room! We had a room with a terrace (also rare) and loved being able to unwind outside overlooking the restraint area, which is very picturesque. Staff were friendly and professional. he meal we had at the restaurant was excellent. Absolutely recommend this hotel, one of the best we stayed in during our 3 week trip in China.

Room is clean and comfortable, location is within walking distance from the Kunming station. Desk service is friendly and kind, helping us to bring luggage up to our rooms.

The hotel staff very friendly! This hotel located to the Kunming railway station..no need to take didi ..just exit from the north exit by escalator just walk straight where the taxi stops and turn right..the hotel on the right..very near…nearby many Chinese restaurants..below hotel have one small convenience shop ..easy to take didi from the hotel..
