Developer Inn Maingate, a Baymont by Wyndham Reviews

Unkbeknownst to us, the location is not the best. We went off the reviews and quite frankly the reviews failed us. We had a late check-in due to our drive. Upon arrival it was notable that the building was refurbished. The lobby is welcoming, bright colors and appealing. The young man behind behind the counter "Esteban" was friendly and offered great customer service. However, I was assigned room 143 and that is where things went down-hill. Upon entering the room it was musky, broken fixtures in the bathroom, the bathubs finish was peeling and dirty. Since we were tired we ignored it and tried to settle in. When getting the beds ready we noticed an univited guest hiding under the covers, yes a cockroach darted out from under the covers, and that was the last straw. If you really can't find somewhere else to stay and your stuck at this place, avoid the rooms in the 140's as they sit right accross from the trash containers. I made my way to the front desk and explained the situation to "Esteban" he immediately apoligized and found us room room 241, which was in better condition, but the floors were noticeably dirty (candy wrappers on the floor, price tags on the floor and plain dirt). It was close to midnight at this point and we have two little ones, so we managed with what we had. Breakfast was a joke, we sat for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and could not eat. The semi-buffet was empty and the one attendant handling the dinning area, could not keep up with the demand. Per her words the scrambled eggs were not available, because they take long to cook. (1hr., plus to cook eggs). The mini fridge had no yogurts ect.... As we left the dinning area we observed local law enforcement attempting to remove a guest from a room. The corridors are an eye-sore. How is this place operational and remain open? This establishment charges a resort fee (a joke), but how? Far from anything that resembles a resort. In our case the fee and security deposit were refunded immediately upon check-out..

The room was nice but the customer service was horrible the people were rude the breakfast lady kept staring at me the whole time I was there made me feel uncomfortable the breakfast was free after two days I ate in my room

Great motel very clean and located in a quiet area. Ideal for visiting theme parks. it is a 15-minute drive from Disneyworld and 25 from Universal Studios. Change of towels and daily room cleaning. Very friendly and helpful staff. The strong point is certainly the very varied and abundant breakfast buffet with a lot of choice both sweet and savory (bacon, eggs, potatoes, bagle, milk. tea, coffee, various types of cereals, pancakes. waffles, spreadable cheese, fresh fruit ...). The room was equipped with a safe, fridge and microwave. Playground for children, swimming pool with sunbeds available. Parking available. Highly recommended

Bad service and the laundry area, if they don't work, doesn't help you at all

Excellent hotel in value for money. It is as shown in photos. Breakfast room is a bit small compared to the number of people that is there continuously, in combination with some uncomfortable chairs.

stay away. i never post… usually just casually read to make sure a hotel is okay… i thought, how bad could this place be? do not stay here!

Excellent service, clean, price, food and is near of all best attractions in Orlando. Congratulations. In my next travel to Orlando we stay here again, definitively...

Great stay for an affordable price. The breakfast was great and the room was comfortable. The bed sheets had a couple marker marks and they didn’t give us enough toilet paper but besides that we had no problems

Always enjiy staying but lately too many people trying to have breakfast at the same time. Service people couldn't keep up with coffee and food.

First off what they don’t tell you is that they make you pay an additional $100 deposit for if you break anything and etc. Which is refundable to you. Thankfully for my case I got that waved by the manager after going back and forth about the pricing and what I expected to pay booking through here and that paying the $100 was not advertised. Also I had spoken to two people about being put on the second floor and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. As I got there they switched up and said they only had the first floor available. I was not happy about that so I let up and dealt with it the first night. As we got to the room the tv was not working nor the lamp set on the side of the bed. So next morning I asked to be put in another room and thankfully I was able to get a room on the second floor like I originally wanted. First night in the new room was fine until the second night. The family behind or below our room was being VERY loud and laughing and banging noises at around midnight waking me and my husband up and calling the desk. Also Housekeeping did not once come to both of our rooms that we had for any extra towels or new sheets. Breakfast was mid and too busy to sit down and enjoy. Although the hotel was very convenient for what my husband and I had planned for we do not think we would ever come back here. The staff was great and helped me with my needs but it was not a good fit for us. Do what you will with the info I have provided but in the future we will not be back

The hotel is good but service is terrible. Don't try to change the time although it satisfy the free change rule. I changed my living from 3 days to 1 days satisfying the free change, but I still get resort fee for three days. They said they can refund but no further acts after 1 month.

The only negative thing I would say. The shower wall has holes & the room smells humid. Other than that it’s clean & Katherine from the front desk is phenomenal.
