The first couple of days went OK. Cosy and family like, then it started going a little down hill. Very Fast! The Breakfast really is the most basic 'Turkish Breakfast' going. I didn't bother going for breakfast on quite a few mornings. I just slept my meds off, whilst my partner went for his. We bought cereal and milk from the supermarket! And cups to eat it out of. There was no 'Do Not Disturb'/'Please Clean My Room' sign for the door. This I felt was very strange. But I didn't give it much notice, until 1 day someone knocked on the door! I'd just been in the bathroom, right next to it, I opened it, and this old guy said 'Wrong Room'! My partner wasn't in the room, and I felt incredibly frightened. I'd seen him before, and new he was something to do with the hotel. But I was incredibly scared. Now It turns out, that groups of people not staying in the hotel, are allowed to come in, use the loungers, pool etc. Considering the hotel isn't big, it was obvious that they must buy drinks for use of the garden! Apparently many hotels around there, and I have to admit, it spoilt it. But it heightened my worry about security. Our room was literally climbable via the balcony. One day one of the hotels guys was wrapping the glasses up and packing them in boxes. It's like as thought they just wanted the season to finish. But we still had at least 9 nights left. Sometimes we'd stay in our room in the morning, because taking so many meds, sometimes they take a long time to wear off. The beds weren't the best. The sheet was to small on the 3ft one, and couldn't be tucked in. And the blanket was so very rough. The curtains weren't blackout curtains, and to make matters worse, didn't cover each end of the windows! And one of the panes of glass leading to the balcony was actually smashed! The toilet was missing the push button on the top. The shower room needed to be power washed and scrubbed. It was so dirty. The bathroom needed a 'deep clean'. Including the paintwork! It was 'manky'! I used towels on the floor of the shower! We'd go out and come back to a room which had been cleaned, and rearranged. I hate wasting time on hanging clothes! I just grab and go. So it felt a little uncomfortable! Especially the pillow situation. But it started getting worse. Two knocks at the door, and the old man was in. Didn't give us time to say anything, or get to the door. Anything could be happening behind our door, and he was in! One day the manager said that we'd 'had an early night before'! I mean what the heck. Spied on. One night, we met up with my partners workmates, and we sat talking until late. A guy was asleep on a chair in the little reception area. My father didn't do that when I was out drinking in my younger days. One afternoon there were about 15 youngsters in the garden area. We had just wanted a quiet swim. They were screaming, kicking footballs everywhere, incluing into the pool. Which wasn't fun when you are trying to swim or float! .An

We have stayed Here many times in the past but not this year We had problems with the hotel we were staying in, we went to see Rosa who went above and beyond to help us out, getting on her moped at 11.30pm to get some.things printed of for us at a nearby hotel. She is a very special lady We spent a few days round her pool which was very relaxing and peaceful. We would definitely recommend her hotel and if we return to Icmeler we would be staying there again Thanks again Rosa for everything

Just returned from an amazing 10 day trip to the oylum garden hotel Icmeler This small budget hotel was outstanding and had everything I expected from a budget hotel Hotel was spotless throughout and Rose and her family and staff were second to none in making sure you had a brilliant holiday There is a small charge for air conditioning and safe which you will find in any budget hotel I’ve stayed in As in most hotels Breakfast is typical Turkish breakfast so don’t be expecting any fry up breakfast Hotel is perfectly situated for easy access to all restaurants and bars Hotel wouldn’t be very suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are stairs to most areas and no lift to higher floors I would like to thank Rose and her family and staff for a very memorable 10 days stay in Icmeler and I’ll definitely be back 👍👍

Myself and my partner have just left Olyum Gardens. This hotel is a fabulous, simple, comfortable and very clean place to stay. Rose and her family are such lovely hospitable people who can’t do enough for you. The room was very spacious, the air con was very effective and for us cost £7.00 a day. It’s situated on the edge of the resort, 10 mins walk to beach but with bars and restaurants very near.

I have just got home after spending 10 days here with family and you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The hotel isn’t too big so it was never overcrowded so you were guaranteed a nice peaceful holiday. The hotel is family run and rose and her family were so friendly which added to the enjoyment of the stay. The pool and building/ rooms were always kept spotless and there was breakfast provided every morning which was up to good standard. The location couldnt be better as the hotel was minutes away from the Main Street where there were loads of restaurants and shops which is ideal for families who doesn’t want to travel very far of a day or evening. Overall I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat and would sure to be returning in the future !

This was such a lovely friendly hotel, we brought our 17 year old granddaughter with us and it was totally suitable for all ages. The pool was lovely, always sunbeds available, put out by Murat, who was also the pool barman, very friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds were always spotlessly clean and Rose and her family were lovely, it really felt home from home. We had a couple of problems with excursion companies not picking us up and Rose immediately intervened on our behalf, so helpful. The hotel was conveniently situated one street back from the high street there was some noise from local bars but no big deal. We loved our stay here and would not hesitate in going back ourselves or recommending it to other people of all ages.

We have just come after staying a week here. Ignore the negative reviews. This is a very cheap hotel so why people are expecting 5 star is beyond me. The owner Rose is lovely and friendly, it is a family run hotel the children are polite and helpful and we had a fabulous stay. The place is spotless, the beds and towels changed daily and all floors swept and mopped. We didn't realise it was bed and breakfast until our last night as we thought it was room.only so we only had breakfast one day and it was basic but nice. Tea / coffee / bread/ cheese / ham and eggs. The beds are clean and what you would expect in a budget hotel. The pillows were actually really comfy. Air con works fine in the rooms and is 100% needed in the heat of Turkey. I have read reviews about being charged for air con and the safe but it isn't true, we were not charged. We paid £20 on day of departure to keep our room on until 8pm which is an absolute bargain! This hotel is right slap bang in the centre of icemeler its a fantastic location. The pool area and bar area are clean and the garden behind the bar is lovely to relax on the sofa / chairs under the trees in the shade. We would definetly stay here again and we are well travelled. It isn't luxury but it is spotless, the owner and family are lovely and it's a top notch budget hotel in my opinion. The bar man sprays all the areas with mosquito repellent which I liked and the atmosphere is chilled out and relaxed. We took drinks into our room but hard to keep cool with no fridge, we managed though and the bar isn't expensive. The WiFi is in the bar /pool area only not in the rooms but this was fine for us We really enjoyed our stay and would return :-)
