Extended Stay America Suites - Orange County - Huntington Beach

As I pulled up to the hotel, two police cruisers were departing. I found out why as I walked down the second floor hallway, skirting the possessions of a freshly evicted patron who was still arguing with a manager. When I got to the room, there was glitter in the carpet and bathroom (along with one long hair on the wall of the shower) and a couple of bobby pins on the floor. In general, the feel of living in an apartment in a poorer part of town persisted the two weeks I was down burying my father and trying to get things organized for my family. The stairwells smelled of cigarette smoke and a screaming baby or barking dogs could often be heard through the walls. If I used the keyed stairwell doors, I was worried I’d have to confront an unsavory person who was trying to tailgate through them. Neither my rental car or room were broken into, thank goodness, but I did not feel particularly safe during my stay. I’d stayed there with my family about 10 years ago while visiting my father and it felt like a long term option for business travelers on contract at nearby aerospace companies. This time it felt more like a flophouse.

There is nothing more like a best western than a best western ...so this is in its juice. The accommodation is correct and professional , the rooms are spacious , clean and the very comfortable litter , the deco is quite old . The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre. In the case of a night stay on a Road trip the hotel has done the job for a correct price.

Obviously right on the beach is always convenient, rooms were clean. Check in was quick and employee was very helpful. Parking below ground was nice. Some construction going on - they have notices posted. I wish they would transition back to a real breakfast - still only grab n’ go (granola bar, muffin and piece of fruit). My only real complaint that might keep me from staying again would be the noise - walls were pretty thin so could hear lots of outside noise as well as hallway noise which was a little annoying at night.

Toilet leaking and no repaired the hotel told me it’s not a huge leak the puddle is growing and takes up 4 tiles. No compensation nothing just told I’m to sleep in a room with a bathroom covered in toilet water. The ladies at the front desk are really nice. The rooms are way over priced for what you get. Damaged furniture. Water damage everywhere in the bathroom. The tv is no good it’s so dim it’s not worth watching and it doesn’t allow adjustments. It looks as the room was once in great shape but minor repairs were done wrong and is making things worse. Poor carpet and trim repairs bad wall repairs. During my stay the toilet was leaking. The handy man fixed it by adding more caulk. If you know anything about toilets this only makes the leak worse. Rather than re-seating it or checking the ring he just added more caulk and now it’s leaking more. The sheets seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. I’m staying in the handicap suit it is indeed very accessible for the handicap needing wheelchair access.

The Hotel was very easy to find and just a five minute walk to the beach. First impression was a little doubtful as the tiny checkin office is a little unkempt and the staff although friendly could definitely be more professionally dressed. There is not an elevator but it is only 3 floors. The steps are in need of paint which would help with that first impression. Then we stepped into our very lovely third floor Harbour view jacuzzi room! It was perfect for our stay! Spacious and modern with a lovely Harbour view. The shower pressure was fine and our bed was comfortable. The furniture modern. We had a fridge and microwave. Maid service was fine. We could leave our car parked in the free garage and walk to several restaurants as well as the beach.. Great qstay and would definitely return.
