Reception was friendly, hotel is located less than 10mins walk away from mtr, food and convenience stores located nearby. Very basic hotel, no toothbrushes/shavers provided. Stayed on the 20th storey, the aircon was really noisy and warm, pillows were too soft. Not very comfortable.

Good condition and services
Very clean and comfortable and high efficient for special orders
Easy transportation for MTR, tunnel bus,
So many Shopping centres and food centers
All things are supplied in the room so enough.
But there have only 4 clothes hangers are not enough for winter use, or hanging clothes after washing clothes.
Times up must be left and locked the door is not a good service.
Long queue for check in. One receptionist is not enough, and low efficiency.

Booked a quadruple room for a family of four and I would say it’s value for money for the amount we paid, which included a nice breakfast. Location is convenient, helped by the regular free shuttle buses which go to either Hong Kong station or to Causeway Bay. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean with the daily housekeeping. Breakfast is really busy during peak hours but the staff are extremely patient and friendly to ensure all guests have an enjoyable meal. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends or even to fellow Singaporeans, because we love good vale hotel deals!

Empire Hotel Causeway Bay - Hong Kong
This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I knew already a while ago that Hong Kong hotels are small in sizes due to how expensive real estate here is, but given how small the space they were able to make it very comfortable for me. I am traveling solo and yet it just feels like I am in my apartment in Vancouver, BC. The location of this hotel is also amazing as I am one of those leisure travelers who avoid fancy areas as I want to experience Hong Kong just like the locals where nearby markets, family-owned restaurants and shopping areas are. Cleanliness and service is top-notch too! I couldn’t say a thing about how awesome it is. Soundproofing is amazing too. Also, their airconditioning unit is pretty cold and great for the hot Hong Kong weather. I will surely be back and look to book this hotel again. Consider it a compliment as I don’t usually go back to the same hotel unless it was exceptional of an experience!
The Empire Prestige Causeway Bay is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Hong Kong will find that the Empire Prestige Causeway Bay is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is conveniently located just 8km from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and 39km from Hong Kong International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Tin Hau Metro Station within walking distance. Seeing Hong Kong's sights from this hotel is easy with Victoria Park, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Arte M Hong Kong all close by. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.

Karen (Li?) has been exceptionally helpful during our 2 visits. It was our first time in Hong Kong, we don't know Cantonese, we had many questions, and Karen's recommendations for activities (food, shopping) were very good. We love the hotel and we strongly recommend to others. We will surely come again.

Outstanding
KKaz T.Great location, the hotel is connected to Mongkok MTR station and shopping mall. The day we checked in was peak travelling season during Christmas and we loved the self check in arrangement you can complete via email prior to arrival which has made checking in so much easier.
The only downside was our room being allocated to the 19th floor and the lift can only get to the 18th floor. With 6 luggages we did have to do some lifting up the stairs but overall we enjoyed our stay at the Royal Plaza.
EEdiGThe hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak.
Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it.
Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid.
Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all?
Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it.
Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green.
Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen.
Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment?
Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.
MmiSs JMMy daughter and I had 10 hours layover in HK and decided to book a hotel near the airport. This hotel is perfect for its location, less than 10 mins away by taxi and offers FREE airport pick up/drop off service.
The room is relatively small but cosy and clean. The only thing I did not like is that they do not provide bottle of water in the room, however they provide an empty bottle that you can refill outside the room (which I couldn’t figure out where, since the hotel is big so I just ended up heating tap water using the kettle 😅)
Nevertheless, I liked that this hotel is accessible and near, less hassle if you have a super early flight the next day. 100% recommended! 😉
WWills CI recently stayed at the Harbour Plaza North Point Hotel on 31/12/2024 and I wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, my stay had several challenges that impacted my overall satisfaction.
Since there were no available double bed rooms on the non-smoking floor, I was assigned to a smoking room on 9/F. As a non-smoker, I expected a slight cigarette smell, but the odor in the room was quite heavy. I informed housekeeping to spray air freshener while I was out for dinner, but the smell persisted, and even after checking out, I could still smell it on my clothes.
Additionally, the room itself felt outdated, reminiscent of the 1980s, and it is in urgent need of upgrades and maintenance. The decor and furnishings could definitely benefit from a refresh to enhance the guest experience.
Another downside was the Wi-Fi connectivity. The signal in my room was poor, making it impossible to download games to my Switch. I found myself having to stand in the corridor just to complete the download, which was quite inconvenient.
On a positive note, the staff were polite and attentive, which made a difference in my stay. I also appreciated the spaciousness of the room, which provided some comfort despite the other issues.
In summary, while the Harbour Plaza North Point Hotel has potential with its friendly staff and spacious accommodations, significant improvements are needed in terms of room conditions, maintenance, and amenities.
KKiyoneThe room is superb, with big area suitable for family. Clean and great seaview, big swimming pool. There is bus stop just outside the hotel with bus at affordable price to travel to and fro airport. Also free shuttle bus provided by hotel to MTR stations. Toothbrush and toothpaste need to purchase from counter, no mini mart nearby, only vending machine beside hotel lift at lobby selling snacks and drinks at high price. The coordinator at lobby is a friendly Malaysian aunty, very helpful and can communicate easily, but customer service at counter not so friendly.
FFelipe KondoService is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it.
PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.
MMun KeatRoom is as per advertised. I measured myself and the square footage of 16 m2 is accurate. The good service would be the cleaners.
Don't expect top notch service from the front desk. If you sit at the lobby, you can hear a lot of complaints from the front desk talking about their customers' request.
Talking bad about your customers are never a good things especially more in front of other customers.
Location is good, with a bit walking require to MTR station. There is a bus station directly in front of the Hotel. You can take bus 101 to Central.
MManta1Resort is an inflated term. Pool closed, spa closed, rooms are upstairs but there is no elevator so be ready to carry your bags. Small washer and dryer in the sauna room, outdated fitness equipment. Weird 'token' system for using the 'resort' things like washer or sauna.Interesting little game area downstairs, a couple kayaks and bikes to rent. Few real amenities that would make this a ”resort”. It's a decent hotel.
The rooms are clean but the windows don't open so it gets very stuffy, the fridge froze everything and the bathroom is tiny and dated. My view was gross, so I kept the shade down.
When the tide is out there is a beach, it is close to the ferry pier and a very pretty view when the construction is not going. The sun rises right in front of the hotel!
Restaurant has a large menu for dinner, but only one choice for breakfast (set meal or nothing).
What saves this place is the staff! They are wonderful, lovely people!
WWongJenniferWe came back to stayed after 5 days in Taiwan. We got back at midnight. The room they gave me next to the lift,it was so noisy in the morning. Moreover no chair and table. What we got is this horrible looking coffee table, I think.
