Brandi Fuji Hotel

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience in this hotel, I was blocked in the sauna for more than 40 minutes because part of the door was plastic and then it was disconnected and blocked, the door was no longer opened. I cried, I was so scared and at last a panic attack, I couldn't breathe anymore, yet now writing this review, I'm getting a little cold to think about it. The most ridiculous thing is that there was no emergency button in the sauna so no one heard me because the sauna is on the nineth floor. But after 40 minutes of panic, I finally made it open with all my strength by hurting my thick finger, breaking my feet's neck half; bloody and crying I go down and they offer me only a screw. Not even a disinfectant. After calling the management, they brought me to the hospital for check. Of course, I was dehydrated and I had a thousand hearts even after 3 hours of the incident. The worst thing was that for the staff seemed nothing. Yeah, but I could have left our pens!! After visiting the hospital, the receiving officer told me the manager wanted to talk to me, and I thought he wanted to apologize. He told me that normally when they bring people to the hospital they have to pay them the bill and that the sauna door was broken and that it would cost about $100. Indirectly, he tried to ask me to pay for everything, very unhappy, and I obviously refused because I went to the hospital for their sake, and at last did not have to pay for the hospital and the door, but incredible. What a good face torn. After this experience has ruined me all the next holiday. Never again. And be careful in the sauna if you go.

The good news - the 2bedroom apartment was excellent value - clean, spacious and well laid out. We did have to get a technician in to sort out a noisy aircon (old unit) - but this was done promptly without fuss. A huge bottle of drinking water (same size of those for water coolers) is provided - and we definately appreciated this. The apartment is also very quiet and well soundproofed. We were very happy with the apartment - excellent value accomodation wise. Customer service was OK. We interacted with three different staff and the a staff at the buffet breakfast. The three counter staff could speak good English - we had difficulty with the lady at the buffet breakfast who spoke little English. Overall service level was OK but not the best. I found that the service from the doorman the excellent - a smile and a greeting when opening the doors. Although the staff were polite, we never felt the warmth that we experienced from other Vietnamese hotels (we have stayed at a range of 4* and 5* accomodation). For example, when trying to figure out where to eat dinner, talking to the counter staff was like talking to a polite chatbot - you had to ask exactly the right question to get a helpful response. Do note that the gynm is very small - it was smaller than our apartmeent. With the 3 of us in the gym, we found it rather squeezy. It is airconditioned though and towels and water are provided. We did not use the pool. The UGLY: The hotel provides the option of a buffet breakfast at VND346500/pax (about USD 14.50 ) - which we opted for. This is served in the inhouse Japanese restaurant. You have to choose a Japanese main course from two options - and you have access to a (tiny) breakfast buffet. However, I would not recommend the breakfast - its very poor value for money and the food provided is not of a good quality standard. Not the best tastewise either. When we were told one of our main courses was not avaialble (we were there at 8am at an empty restaurant) - my wife remarked that the option of Japanese main course appeared to depend on what was leftover unsold from the previous night at the restaurant. The provided coffee was so awful that I found that the 3-in-1 premix tasted better. See the attached picture for the (tiny) range of buffet options on offer. Again , strongly recommend you avoid the breakfast buffet. The overall exterior doesn't appear to have been maintained for years. Of course this could be due to air pollution. This didn't impact our stay materially though - although it could be an eyesore for others. The hotel is well situated and West Lake is easily accessible through the hotel back gate. Its also 15min away to Lotte Metropolis via Grab cab. In summary, we enjoyed the apartment stay - but dreaded the morning breakfast. Overall - still recommended for excellent value and location though.

The rooms in this hotel are beautifully furnished and very clean. The bathroom is large, modern and has hot water. The laundry service is cheap and good. The room is cleaned daily on request. There is the possibility to use a kitchen which is quite well equipped. Furthermore, there is a smoking area in the upper floor. The housewife and the receptionist are very nice and premature. We can only recommend a stay in this hotel.

Room on the 8th floor, the curtains and chairs are a bit dusty, when pulling the curtain, the dust is flying. The towels are provided are few, only 2 towels, no hand towels and floor towels. The 1 bedroom room type is quite spacious and comfortable. The property does not provide free mineral water, no desk phone, no contact reception.

The breakfast is delicious, the young lady at the front desk is beautiful and welcoming (unfortunately, the young lady is about to get married), and the younger brother at the front desk is also very attentive and enthusiastic, and can basically understand Chinese. The room is very clean, with a small refrigerator and safe, and even a bathtub (double room). The surrounding area is very quiet and not too noisy. I came here for a language test and accidentally booked a hotel next to the school branch. The front desk also specially introduced two northern buddies who also booked the wrong hotel. This journey is very enjoyable. The only shortcoming is that the soundproofing is not very good hahaha😂

The apartment is clean, and the staff is amazing and friendly. This hotel is worth staying for a long time. The place is quiet, so you won't be bothered by vehicles or singing neighbors. Though the guy across the street sings really well! The next time I go to Hanoi I will book an apartment here.

I was amazed at the hotel. The room was beautiful and large, has a minibar, a nice tv and breakfast was served. The breakfast consisted of a normal Vietnamese breakfast including eggs, some sweets and fruits as well as, café, juices and water the hotel was very clean and the bathroom well stocked. The front desk was extraordinary. Very helpful in helping me find places to change money, including drawing me a map. I checked in for an extra night unaware my friends out of town had rented me a private car to drive me 150 kilometers north of Hanoi. I checked out thinking I had lost the money for the extra night. To my surprise they refunded me 3/4 of the price. The are is full of shops and restaurants, also within walking distance to attractions. I want to thank the front desk for their help. I will stay there upon my return south.
