Royal Kenz Hotel Thalasso & Spa

Fabulous hotel very friendly staff would go out of their way to accommodate you, spotlessly clean, although the rooms were a little dated. Food was fabulous catered for everyone from children to adults of every ethnic background. The entertainment was the best there was something to do both day and night. Would definitely visit again

Roaches for one are extremely off putting and staff are blasé, came up sprayed roach killer all over floor surface and removed roach without cleaning or ventilating or just say okay and nothing done. staff unhelpful as stayed with 10 month old. I’m not even 5ft but husband is 6 ft and cot they provided had ridiculously low base with extremely high side, that even he struggled with. Asked at reception if they had different cots or if they were all the same, or if the base could be raised at all… man stated all cots were the same yet we later saw 2 much easily accessible cots; one in use in a room another in hall. Had to take sofa cushions off to try to raise the mattress to avoid lowering and dropping son back in to cot as couldn’t even reach him until he sat/stood. One of main reasons we chose hotel was heated pool till 30th April yet this was closed for 29th-30th with no warning yet stated it was planned maintenance. Shaver/toothbrush socket in bathroom didn’t work. Wall dryer on balcony broken and unusable as not secured to wall. No water or drinks supplied in room. Air con not available even though rooms were hot and stuffy states available from 1st May but wasn’t, also like beach bar which says open from 1st May but was not. Overall outdated with broken tiles, chips in doors, scraped in mirrors etc Food okay but not many options and often dry and cold, few things like meatballs, cheese and turkey balls, burgers and such really nice. Majority of staff in dining area really nice and accommodating but can be slow with drinks and clearing, you are able to get yourself drinks worse case. Pool area and beach nice, staff happy to supply chairs and mattress bits.

Very good hotel for the price paid on an all inclusive package. Hotel a little tiered in some areas but overall very clean. Food buffet style and varied always hot and fresh. Staff excellent couldn't do enough to help / please. Animation staff very good. We had a high room which was spacious and bright, cleaned every day and towels changed. A background noise of a fan / extractor was a bind and reported to reception but not dealt with. ( only negative in our opinion ) Entertainment not really for us so didn't participate but 'Changing Ladies ' show was very good. Would I go again YES.

The hotel is in need of an update as it is very tired. We had a ground floor room and the smell in our corridor was overwhelming. The carpet was damp and dirty with cockroaches walking across it. Despite this our room was clean, but again very tired. The towels were thin and poor quality. The food was fine, typical buffet style. The staff worked hard to look after guests. The entertainment didn't appeal so I'm not able to give a fair comment. The cocktails were limited, so I stuck to red wine. The indoor pool was clean and fine. The spa was lovely and reasonably priced.

The staff make this hotel everyone of them was excellent 👌 the communal rooms are nice but our bedroom could have done with a referb. It was clean and serviceable but beds are a bit uncomfortable and the bed linen and towels where very worn. But nothing too bad it could have been a bit better. The food was good plenty of choose for each meal. The snack bar for lunch is also very good. The drinks are not very strong but taste nice. The pools and gardens are very clean and well kept but the water is very cold we used the nice heated indoor pool for swimming. We have really enjoyed our stay and feel it was excellent value for money. Find Joseph around the pool for your trips we enjoyed the camel ride. Walk into town was a little further than expected but cheap taxi back to hotel. Shops are very cheap and not too pushy. 5 star plus for all the staff and with a little update it would be 5 star for the hotel. Thank you for a lovely holiday and we hope to return.

you have to stay here! The hotel is beautiful, clean and feels lush to be around. With two out door pools, plenty of greenery to relax in, an indoor saltwater pool, gift shop, snack bar, American styled bar, canteen, amazing spa, beach bar you can’t say there isn’t enough to keep you happy in your stay. The staff are some of the kindest people I’ve come across in any form of hospitality. Especially the entertainment staff! Some people I can mention are Ahmed, Mr Bean (yes that’s his name for work, how amazing!), Joseph/Josef (I am unsure how he spells his name) and finally the bar tender in the “American Bar”, unfortunately I did not get his name but he was incredibly kind and offered extra services for us out of the kindness of his own heart. Not to mention the entertainment staff do their best to interact with you and make you feel included without prying too much. The other staff in this hotel are very hard working, from receptionist, spa, cleaners, care takers, life guards, cooks and waiters… they all go above and beyond to help your time and stay at the royal kenz be the best possible! On the odd occasion there was a small amount of misunderstanding with language but they are patient and kind to take their time with everyone. Our TUI Rep Sara was so helpful and even recommended outside places to explore with tips/tricks to make it smoother. To anyone who reads this in the hotel, thank you for making mine and my partners stay a memorable one! We hope to visit one day again x Bernie

The hotel looked a little tired. The food was ok but a little repetitive. The Tunisian staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The animation team kept us well entertained in the evening. The spa was ok. I had a pamper session with the mrs. When booking excursions don't book through the TUI app as we had an issue with the Sahara excursion and the on site TUI rep will not deal with any excursions booked through the APP so your better off booking any excursions when you get to your hotel. The VIP lounge was worth it when coming home as your escorted through the airport and miss all the queues. All in all nice cheap holiday would go back again but maybe with another provider

Nice clean hotel good facilities apart from gym which is quite basic. Animation team are fantastic very friendly and welcoming especially Katty who was lovely. Two good pools rooms have good views and nice beach close walk away from the hotel

Well where do I begin!! Another fantastic holiday at the Royal Kenz. We've been coming here for 19 years. A lot of the staff still here. Food was brilliant as usual. Weather fantastic. There are people coming to this hotel who moan every day about something. What kind of food they eat at home makes me wonder. Probably chips and more chips. The staff at this hotel go out of their way to please everyone, from kitchen, room service, reception, waiter's, animation, front of house, even down to security. Thank you Royal Kenz for yet another fantastic holiday.
