My husband and I are still staying here at this hotel while we visit family all week and we won't be staying here again. Our room has two TV's in it, both of which constantly turn off and restart, or just freeze on a black screen. We asked for help and nothing happened. The weirdest thing is that there are absolutely no movies available to purchase and no capabilities for streaming. Last night we watched a movie in bed on my laptop like we were in college! The TV is not our main priority on our trip, but we were looking forward to watching stuff together in the room on our vacation. Instead we get a choice of CNN, BBC, CNBC, or Bloomberg. I've stayed in motels with movies available to purchase! Just felt really weird to be paying for 6 nights thousands of dollars and no options and NO plugs for charging by the bed. Olivier and Dominick are awesome and thank goodness for them! Oh, and when you arrive with your car there usually is no valet outside...both times we didn't want to leave our car outside unattended but no one came out so we had to go in. My final thing....I had a headache and they didn't have anything, my husband had to walk to the pharmacy. We aren't too lazy to walk but when you are staying at a so-called 5 star hotel and you don't have headache medicine, no streaming capabilities or media selections...Not worth the money! Special shoutout to Olivier and Dominick who are AWESOME!!!

Frankly (haha), this Marriott has me sold on all Marriotts. They let us check in early and gave us a complimentary upgrade. I thought that maybe it would be a bigger room or a higher floor, but it wasn’t JUST that - we basically ate for free during our stay in the city. The breakfast spread is to die for (a full honeycomb and carafes of apfelwein were highlights for me) and the club was accessible 24/7, so we could just pop in to grab coffee or water bottles (in sustainable cardboard packaging, actually) to go. The evening happy hour is the happiest of hours: basically a full dinner buffet that changes from one day to the next. Seriously, instead of going out on the town, my brother and I just sat in front of the fireplace in the lounge, drinking regional beers, wines, and mimosas (alongside a delectable sticky bread pudding with vanilla bean sauce). Seriously, I could go on about this place. Friendly staff, comfortable accommodations, full range of quality toiletries - much better than what I’m used to in large European cities. I will stay here every time I return to Frankfurt.

This is a 100% honest review. And i will try to write as much to help other Customers who are looking for Hotels to book. I know how hard it is to read Reviews and all, but i hope this will help. This Hotel has the best service of all! From the Valet Parking, to the Receptionist (who speaks perfect English), to the Room! ROOM: First impression in entering the room, was.. WOW. IT SMELLS CLEAN AND GOOD! It is big enough for 2. They provided us 2 free Water Bottles, they have Shampoos, Body Soap, and Lotion. The Pillows are Comfortable, Bed is really Big (but don’t expect too much) it is just good enough to sleep. If you’re looking for EXTRA comfort for sleeping, this is not the one for you. They have Airconditioning (which is really important), and it works PERFECT! BREAKFAST BUFFET: They have wonderful WAITERS AND WAITRESSES! They will go extra mile for you like when you get your Coffee yourself, they will offer to do it for you. It gives a lot of choices when it comes to Food. Their FOOD is superb! I still can’t get over with the Waffles 😅 it is true that it’s a little bit Pricey, but if you’re a Breakfast Person, i would highly recommend you to get this one! 😊 Overall experience, it was excellent!

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 3 months now and was more than excited after hearing a JW Marriott would open in Frankfurt (also the first one in Germany at that time). After living in hotels in Frankfurt for more than 3 years, I knew that staying at the JW Marriott would be a different story as it provides beautiful skyline views (sunset towards the skyline and sunrise on the other side towards the Taunus) and is as central as it gets. As an ambassador elite I was always upgraded to a suite, mostly the skyline suite because nothings beats this view - see pictures attached. Even though the hotel may need some renovations in some parts, it still provides all the necessities you can think of. The skyline suites include an amazing bathtub, big mirrors, seating area and the unique skyline view which you can be seen from the bed when waking up or going to sleep. The staff is very attentive, extremely friendly and is trying to make the best out of your stay. Thomas from the front desk, Mr Nickol, the girls at breakfast and the two guys there as well are extremely friendly and highly trained professionals. As the hotel does not provide an executive lounge at this point, Elite members get a free breakfast with an la carte dining (recommendation: chef‘s choice) and lots of varieties at the breakfast buffet. For someone like me who wants to stay fit during travels, the JW Marriott Frankfurt has a collaboration with the Fitness First My Zeil meaning you can access a fully equipped gym when staying here and not just a treadmill or 5kg weights - one of the biggest plus of this hotel. Staying at Marriott hotels full time for the last 6 years, I can really see the differences. Unfortunately that hotel life comes to an end now, but the JW Marriott couldn’t have been a better ending to that hotel life. THANK YOU TEAM. This hotel is highly recommended if you want a special treat, the most central location and the full Frankfurt skyline experience.

We stayed here for one night before we flew out of Frankfurt home to the U.S. I picked it because it was right across the street from the train station (or so someone told me). It's technically not ”right across the street.” You need to cross the street and walk maybe a block, turn left and it's right there, just in case you're like us and dragging luggage with you. There are also taxis that just sit outside the hotel if you ever need one. We are also Bonvoy members and I had enough points so that I could pay cash and points for this hotel. I reserved a junior suite because we needed a room that could accommodate us and our 12-year-old daughter. It is surprisingly difficult to find this in Europe. I called the hotel when I booked the room maybe a month or two in advance to make sure that the junior suite could indeed accommodate us and I was told it would (the pictures of this room on the Bonvoy website are not clear--where exactly in the room is the extra bed? There isn't one. It's a rollaway. This is why I called). When we arrived, there was some confusion or a problem with getting our room with an extra bed, and that's when I reminded them that I specifically called the hotel and asked if such a room could accommodate us and I was told yes. Whatever the problem was, they got it sorted out and we had a rollaway delivered to our room when we got up there. My suggestion is that if you need an extra bed(s) for your kids, call them the day before you arrive to (re)confirm that there will be a rollaway and/or the room you reserved will indeed accommodate your family. The junior suite is not very big, but it was fine for the three of us for one night. It's true that the hotel is not in the nicest area, but you can walk to the Rhine and restaurants. If I were staying more than one night and didn't have to fly out early the next morning, I would have stayed farther in town. The bed was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was good--at least it was a lot better than the breakfast at the other hotel where we stayed before coming to Frankfurt, lol. The eggs were not rubbery and overcooked, and the food selection was just better overall.

Booked this for my mom and sister - they had a great time! Clean, central location, nice breakfast & within walking distance to the Chinese visa center. You can walk from the main train station to the hotel, try to avoid Niddastraße though (especially if you’re with kids), seems to be a hot-spot for *****. My mom and sister were quite shocked by what they saw (people lying around on the street, injecting themselves etc.)

This should be the friendliest German apartment. Come and take the sugar bag and take the milk at the front desk. Take dishwashing, take toilet paper, take rag Will not refuse the tenant, of course, Some still need to pay But because breakfast requires extra charge We didn't use the restaurant But at the time of check out There is a large column of horns next to the front desk for the guests to take freely. A lot of tenants took the elevator and took it to the mouth. The front desk is full of smiles to add And it’s safe to go in and out here. We temporarily added another day.

Fantastic hotel in just about every respect, we will definitely consider it again as we were a bigger group of friends who wanted to enjoy Frankfurt - the hotel majorly helped us on that mission! One minor technical issue: checking in and out online / using the app was not a smooth experience. Hope that's resolved for next time as would genuinely make a difference. And, yes, the location: The character that one sees in the streets near the hotel are quite a sight and for those who generally don't follow the news, possibly pretty shocking. However, the level of threat is low. The area is heavily policed and the locals strike me as too busy with their own lives to want to bother tourists. To be fair, I am a grown man and was there with a group.

The reservation for my stay was made via my travel agent. This is not normally a corporate approved hotel and I now understand why. When making the booking the agent requested early check-in, but did not request guaranteed early check-in. That means if a room is available upon arrival one can check-in. If no room is available one has to wait until regular check-in time which in this case is 15:00. The hotel is located next to the trade and convention center. There are no events as yet due to the pandemic. The hotel is quiet. I arrive and ask to check-in and am told I could only do so as of the official check-in time. When I mention early check-in had been requested by my agent a second receptionist appears and confirms that rooms are available. She also proceeds to inform me that I need to pay a EUR 40 fee for early check-in. I challenged this and mentioned that no other hotel will charge such a fee if rooms are vacant at the time of the person arriving wanting to check in. The receptionist explains that staff had to work faster to ensure the room would be available for early check-in and hence the fee. As it turns out the room was last cleaned, aired and disinfected April 27th, a full six days prior to my arrival. Hence this fee is simply to rip off of guests. While the rooms are fine, the hotel is centrally located and well connected to public transport, this organized extortion means I will never book this place again.

They advertise AC but you don't control it and it's set too warm (23c/73f). You can turn it on in 1-hour increments manually but it decides if you get AC or heat and there's no option for just a fan so if it turns on the heater when you're just looking for some air circulation, you just have to turn it off. You'll have 1 window and if you're facing the street (1/2 the building as it's on a corner), you'll be disturbed all night and very early each morning (lights outside, people rolling their suitcases all night and early morning arriving and departing, the buses, and the garbage truck comes at 7:45 am each morning). If you don't want to be disturbed by light and noise, you can close the window and curtains and stew in your own warm exhale instead. They don't change the sheets though they tidy the room every 3 days (I was there 2 wks in April). There are 2 tiny washers and 2 dryers in the basement. You have to pay 3 euro per wash and 2 euro per drying cycle. You'll need an app which won't work in the basement where the laundry is so you'll have to go upstairs each time you want to book the machine and then back down to start it. Overall, the rooms are nice, the showers are hot and high pressured, but I was just uncomfortable the entire time and would never stay here again.

I have already stayed two times in this hotel and I find it delicious. Comfortable to everything: the fair is also walking, in the centre with public means and is located in a beautiful residential and quiet neighborhood (Bockenheim), near a university. It is a historic hotel, but well-reconstructed. With a wide and bright atmosphere, excellent rooms. Perfect breakfast: salty and sweet, nothing missing. Hello, I stayed with you in fair villa dianna Westend in Frankfurt from the dates 10-14th of dec we paid for the hotel in full when booking our TWIN room which should be a double and a single bed in the room! We arrived at the hotel and a blonde older lady working at reception told us to wait! No one else was there! When SHE WAS ready!! Then she told us that we have a tourist charge of €24 to pay now! I paid it with no hesitation, we got our key and went to our room on the third floor room 301 we opened the door to find 2 single beds!!!! This is not a twin room!! I went down to speak with the lady about the issues and she abruptly told me she had emailed asking me if I wanted an extra bed for €15 per night!! and I never replied to that email as I thought there was no need as I had booked a twin and was expecting a double and single bed which would have been enough room for the three of us!! As she told me no 2 singles I returned to the room got my purse I came down and said we better pay it as we needed the bed for my nine year old daughter!!! She said they would need time to set up the bed I told her that was no problem as we were going to dinner, she gave us the key for 306 to put our bags in and went to dinner while they did the bed. When we returned from dinner, we found a double bed dressed as 2 singles just pushed together!!!! My daughter went to sit on her bed and you can see and hear in the video what it was like!!!! On the second or third night Nadine went for a quick/short shower @9pm I went in for one @ 11pm and there was no hot water in the shower!!!! We did not sleep well any night because of the extra bed that we paid €60 for!!!!!after paying for the room in full before arrival and the €24 tourist charge!!! Also we were on the third floor and could still hear everyone coming in and out and walking the stairs!!! The two young women that were working the before leaving and the morning of leaving were lovely!! And even helped us booking a taxi for the airport. Also the pictures online against what the hotel really looks like are very different!!! On the first day my daughter fell down the stairs I am very lucky I caught her after 3-5steps as she would have broken her neck! She hurt her legs!! And then the psychological fear for her and I of walking the stairs every time since!! We were only in Frankfurt for four nights and our first family holiday and unfortunately due to the creaking bed and lack of sleep we were denied a lot because my daughter was too tired and cranky in the evening to keep going!! Also when we left on the second morning we locked our bedroom door when we came back that night we found our bedroom door opened and ajar someone was clearly in our room and so dangerously didn’t lock the door after them we could have had all our belongings stolen!!! This had been my WORST experience of a hotel EVER!! I await your reply, Tara Mulcahy.

They have got this panoramic view, but everything else is a nightmare. The room was dirty, with dust all over the place; but this is not the worst part. When showering, one could literally smell sewage. But then, I found out that toilets are clogged, so I wonder how much filth comes into the shower. Moreover, most of the bulbs either missing or not working and the coffee machine was not functional. I tried to call reception but they do not anwser, either using the room phone or even using the external line in via mobile, so I had to come down to complain, just to discover how rude and unhelpful the staff are. I explained it all to this guy in reception and told him that I will be complaining, but his words were: ”just write that I am the worst person in the world”. I don't know if he finds that amusing, but I suppose I can share his wish with the world. The thing is that the world doesn't really care about him. People only care about sleeping in a clean room help when things go wrong; not showering in the filth again and actually not even taking the risk of ending up in the filth in the first place. So, there is the view but a hotel is not about the view. This place is very badly maintained (and the staff seem to be having a laugh about it) and that is real shame.

Apartment hotel was in really great position. We walked everywhere to Christmas markets and other places of interest . Bedrooms were good size and kitchen was adequate . These were serviced daily which was good as a baby in our group . Desk staff were helpful ordered a taxi and also extending our Booking for extra night .
