I was here for 1 night on a quick business trip through Frankfurt. The location from the main train station was my initial reason to stay here, and it is very close - just an extra block away from the Le Meridien. Easy walk with luggage from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to both hotels. Roomers is very trendy and non-discrete. So much so I guess I was not dressed 'trendy' enough for the door person to help open for me while rolling my luggage into. But I digress. The staff I interacted with were all very nice and friendly, including the front desk and restaurant. I did not have an opportunity to try the bar on this stay. Why I gave this 2-stars is for the room... I was ”upgraded” to a ”quieter room” with my Elite Status, which I appreciated upon check-in. The room itself was fine with very dark interiors and roomy enough for 2 people. There was a place for luggage, desk area and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of sink space and large shower. There were, however, no USB ports or easily accessible plugs to charge your phone at bedside without moving furniture around. And why I will not stay here ever again is the lack of sleep from the thumping music until 3:30AM in this upgraded ”quiet wing of the hotel”, as well as a very warm room temperature that never seemed to cool down all night. The thermostat said 22, but there was never any cool air coming out so I doubt the A/C was working. And the bass from the music was so strong it was making items on the desk move and create noise until 330AM. Waking up for an 8AM meeting with little sleep, and having to get dressed in a very warm room was not enjoyable. The hallway and lobby were cooler than inside my room. I wanted to like this place, but quality sleep is important to me. So I will try another hotel next visit.

We stayed here for one night before we flew out of Frankfurt home to the U.S. I picked it because it was right across the street from the train station (or so someone told me). It's technically not ”right across the street.” You need to cross the street and walk maybe a block, turn left and it's right there, just in case you're like us and dragging luggage with you. There are also taxis that just sit outside the hotel if you ever need one. We are also Bonvoy members and I had enough points so that I could pay cash and points for this hotel. I reserved a junior suite because we needed a room that could accommodate us and our 12-year-old daughter. It is surprisingly difficult to find this in Europe. I called the hotel when I booked the room maybe a month or two in advance to make sure that the junior suite could indeed accommodate us and I was told it would (the pictures of this room on the Bonvoy website are not clear--where exactly in the room is the extra bed? There isn't one. It's a rollaway. This is why I called). When we arrived, there was some confusion or a problem with getting our room with an extra bed, and that's when I reminded them that I specifically called the hotel and asked if such a room could accommodate us and I was told yes. Whatever the problem was, they got it sorted out and we had a rollaway delivered to our room when we got up there. My suggestion is that if you need an extra bed(s) for your kids, call them the day before you arrive to (re)confirm that there will be a rollaway and/or the room you reserved will indeed accommodate your family. The junior suite is not very big, but it was fine for the three of us for one night. It's true that the hotel is not in the nicest area, but you can walk to the Rhine and restaurants. If I were staying more than one night and didn't have to fly out early the next morning, I would have stayed farther in town. The bed was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was good--at least it was a lot better than the breakfast at the other hotel where we stayed before coming to Frankfurt, lol. The eggs were not rubbery and overcooked, and the food selection was just better overall.

JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 3 months now and was more than excited after hearing a JW Marriott would open in Frankfurt (also the first one in Germany at that time). After living in hotels in Frankfurt for more than 3 years, I knew that staying at the JW Marriott would be a different story as it provides beautiful skyline views (sunset towards the skyline and sunrise on the other side towards the Taunus) and is as central as it gets. As an ambassador elite I was always upgraded to a suite, mostly the skyline suite because nothings beats this view - see pictures attached. Even though the hotel may need some renovations in some parts, it still provides all the necessities you can think of. The skyline suites include an amazing bathtub, big mirrors, seating area and the unique skyline view which you can be seen from the bed when waking up or going to sleep. The staff is very attentive, extremely friendly and is trying to make the best out of your stay. Thomas from the front desk, Mr Nickol, the girls at breakfast and the two guys there as well are extremely friendly and highly trained professionals. As the hotel does not provide an executive lounge at this point, Elite members get a free breakfast with an la carte dining (recommendation: chef‘s choice) and lots of varieties at the breakfast buffet. For someone like me who wants to stay fit during travels, the JW Marriott Frankfurt has a collaboration with the Fitness First My Zeil meaning you can access a fully equipped gym when staying here and not just a treadmill or 5kg weights - one of the biggest plus of this hotel. Staying at Marriott hotels full time for the last 6 years, I can really see the differences. Unfortunately that hotel life comes to an end now, but the JW Marriott couldn’t have been a better ending to that hotel life. THANK YOU TEAM. This hotel is highly recommended if you want a special treat, the most central location and the full Frankfurt skyline experience.

My husband and I are still staying here at this hotel while we visit family all week and we won't be staying here again. Our room has two TV's in it, both of which constantly turn off and restart, or just freeze on a black screen. We asked for help and nothing happened. The weirdest thing is that there are absolutely no movies available to purchase and no capabilities for streaming. Last night we watched a movie in bed on my laptop like we were in college! The TV is not our main priority on our trip, but we were looking forward to watching stuff together in the room on our vacation. Instead we get a choice of CNN, BBC, CNBC, or Bloomberg. I've stayed in motels with movies available to purchase! Just felt really weird to be paying for 6 nights thousands of dollars and no options and NO plugs for charging by the bed. Olivier and Dominick are awesome and thank goodness for them! Oh, and when you arrive with your car there usually is no valet outside...both times we didn't want to leave our car outside unattended but no one came out so we had to go in. My final thing....I had a headache and they didn't have anything, my husband had to walk to the pharmacy. We aren't too lazy to walk but when you are staying at a so-called 5 star hotel and you don't have headache medicine, no streaming capabilities or media selections...Not worth the money! Special shoutout to Olivier and Dominick who are AWESOME!!!

I had read some of alarmist reviews and was a little wary. I needn't have been as cautious as I was. The hotel is in a superb location for accessing public transport being right by the Main Frankfurt station. We arrived before 12 noon but our rooms were ready for us. Having booked a single room I was pleasantly surprised to have a spacious double room. My room was at the front of the hotel so of course if the windows were open it was noisy. I had an issue that the door didn't lock went closed but this was remedied immediately. On another occasion my key card stopped working and again this was swiftly dealt with. In the room were 2 good sized single beds, a 2 seater sofa plus work area and chair. Wardrobe was adequate for a short stay. Tea and coffee making facilities were very welcome. I didn't have anything from the mini bar but the prices were not horrendous (and cheaper than the exhibition centre!!). Toiletries are a soap dispenser at the hand wash basin, shower gel in the shower, small bottles of shampoo, body lotion. The shower cabin is in the room. Always plenty of hot water and strong jets of water (adjustable). Housekeeping was performed daily and was very efficient and good. OK now Saturday night was a little interesting!!! As said this is in a very central location next to the station and opposite there is a hostel for the homeless. I wasn't 100% sure what was going on but there were lots of sirens and police around! Mind you I wouldn't have noticed had I not had the window open! Breakfast. Buffet style mix of hot and cold dishes including bacon, sausage, scrambled and boiled egg, beans, rice, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, yoghurts, tomatoes, cucumber. breads and a toaster. This was the same each day but with the variety offered it would be possible to have different breakfast each day! I mentioned at reception that the plates needed to be warm for the hot choices and the next morning this was done (and the days after). I found all staff to be polite and very helpful. Yes due to the location you do see a very wide variety of life but this adds to the experience! There are some good small shops around for sundries and some cheap and cheerful eating places on the station. All in all a good stay in a central location just 2 stations away from the Frankfurt Messe for main trade exhibitions etc.

I recently stayed at the hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the discovery of bed bugs on my last day. Despite this issue, I found the overall stay to be acceptable. The breakfast wuthin my expectations, but I believe the reception could improve. Coming back on bed bugs I urge the hotel to prioritise thorough inspections and preventive measures to ensure a pest free environment for guests.

Just near the train station, right next to the famous French fries shop (and sex museum) ~ superb location ~ but the interior of the hotel is very ordinary, the room is small and old, in order to cost-effective, squeeze a squeeze and endure ~

The Drago Hotel is really good, the hotel lobby is very warm, you can rest, read a book, listen to music or a vinyl record player, you can choose vinyl records! The price is very clean, all automatic touch system, very like, very modern! The bathroom is also very large, the room gives a large bottle of water, and the coffee machine is equipped with the filter coffee they provide. The coffee made is really delicious! There is also a supermarket downstairs, very convenient! A little far from the location of the attraction, take a 30 minute walk!

The hotel is good, the room is comfortable even though simple. The location is excellent, near the central Frankfurt station. The eastern style decoration is a little over-exaggerated and half-brig, also because it is old. The greatest problem was that my room was noisy, had a hole on the ceiling of the bathroom where the noise seemed to come, and that was a little disturbing the night.

The hotel is located near the railway station, and the railway station is about 10 minutes' walk away. The standard room I ordered does not have a balcony. Although there is not much space for the double bed with a sofa bed, the layout is well designed. There are wardrobes and sofa beds for clothes and luggage. It is also possible if a family of three brings a baby. The minibar in the room has beer, mineral water, Coke and Fanta, which are all free to drink. This is very unexpected and pleasantly surprised. The breakfast is also a rich and typical German breakfast, coffee, tea, sausage, bread, salmon, fruit, yogurt, eggs, etc. It is a good breakfast for similar hotels in Europe. The hotel is very close to the Main River. There are landscape trails on both sides of the river. Not far from the bridge is the Chinese Consulate. It is also very convenient to live here if you come to work from other places. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby. I have eaten Chongqing noodles and the hot pot in Yanjing Hotel. They are all very good! In addition, please note that the hotel room rate does not include city tax, so you need to pay an additional 2 Euro/person, which is the same in German hotels.
