The location is good, you can park your car, and when you go out and climb the ten-meter slope, turn right and there are food stalls. Except that the room along the street was a bit noisy, the rest was very good and quite clean. The proprietress was also very welcoming. I regretted not being able to see the entire Meili Snow Mountain. Due to the weather, I could only see three peaks. I will stay here next time.

Clearly the best hotel around. The price is low and the service is perfect. The food is also very good and the people managing the hotel are all very nice.
If you don’t like spending too much, this hotel is your best option. Also I prefer down village than upper village.

A very nice ******* homestay, overall quite good, easy to find the location. It snowed on the second day of my stay. The floor heating in the room was very warm, and there was an electric blanket on the bed. It was not cold at all in the snow. I stayed there for 3 consecutive days. The weather was bad, and I kept waiting to see the sunrise on the Golden Mountain. Parking was also very convenient, the small courtyard was very beautiful, the bathroom was also wide, and the water pressure was also very strong. Living halfway up the mountain, it was very quiet, and the scenery was particularly beautiful when walking up. It was also quite close to the scenic spot, supermarket, and market, less than 10 minutes by car. It is worth mentioning that the ******* boss was very enthusiastic. I called him late at night or early in the morning to ask about something, and he answered very enthusiastically. I will stay here again next time.

It is located about five kilometers outside the county town and less than ten minutes drive from the Feilai Temple Observation Deck. It is a very close and convenient location to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. location. The boss is very nice. He can negotiate some things in advance and deal with them in time.
The room smells great as soon as you enter. The towels and bath towels are disposable and clean. The bath water is hot at night and in the morning (this is really great). The overall stay experience is great!
Overall, the price/performance ratio is extremely high, and it is highly recommended to stay.

GGuest UserWhat can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan.
PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

GGuest UserService: A particularly wonderful accommodation experience! Before checking in, the housekeeper added WeChat to remind us about transportation matters. In the next few days, the housekeeper arranged a car to pick us up at the White Pagoda of Xiayubeng. When we arrived, the floor heating in the room was already turned on, which was very warm! In the next few days, detailed suggestions will be provided according to the itinerary, and sandwiches will be packed for us to eat for hiking. Every night before get off work, we will ask about the room needs. It must be mentioned that breakfast is available in Chinese and American styles, which are especially delicious!
Environment: The homestay is located at the top of Shangyubeng Village. The simple and modern log design style shows that the boss has great taste. All rooms face Jiangjun Peak and Shennv Peak. When the weather is good, you can open the curtains to experience the snow-capped mountains. The scenery on the terrace upstairs is even better, and the snow-capped mountains and villages are in full view!
Hygiene: The room is very clean and tidy, equipped with a smart toilet, sufficient hot water, complete toiletries, and a light sandalwood scent that is very healing!
Facilities: Every detail has a sense of design. The room is equipped with floor heating and an oxygen concentrator, and you can wash clothes, which is a plus!

[The first good review is for the beautiful and gentle hotel housekeeper] From the moment we checked in, the hotel housekeeper (should be the hotel housekeeper hehe) received us very warmly and introduced the hotel facilities to us in detail. Knowing that we would return to the hotel after five o'clock, she turned on the floor heating for us in advance and pushed us a guide to play; at night, when she heard us singing the birthday song in the room, the lady brought us Coke, which was touching ❤️; the next day, the lady asked me in advance when I would leave and gave each of us a lucky knot.
[The second good review is for the hotel] In the winter of Yubeng, it is a very happy thing to live in a hotel with sufficient heating and excellent views. The hotel has sufficient floor heating, electric blankets, and complete warm air facilities in the bathroom. In addition, there is a shoe dryer, and the hotel also provides free foot soaking service. The window of our room faces the snow-capped mountains. At night, we curl up in bed and watch movies. In the morning, we wake up under the snow-capped mountains and are awakened by the snow-capped mountains. Downstairs of the hotel is the grassy plain of Yubeng. Watching the sun slanting and the vast smoke of mulberry trees, all of this will become a beautiful memory of our lives.

We arrived at 9 o'clock in the morning, and the boss hurriedly cleaned a room for us to check in. He kept saying sorry in the middle, but his attitude was very good. The room was cleaned very clean. If you come to Feilai Temple to see the sunrise Jinshan, you can choose this hotel. If you don't want to go to the observation deck to squeeze in the crowd, you can see it directly from the top of the hotel.

GGuest UserDuring the Spring Festival, I took my whole family from Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient Town to Meili Snow Mountain by charter. The driver took us along the 214 National Highway to enjoy the check-in attractions along the way. We chose to stay in the viewing room of Shenfeng Hotel. Since I was with my parents, I could enjoy the Meili Snow Mountain from the room, which was very comfortable. The terrace had a hanging chair, a rattan table and rattan chairs, which were very well designed. On the second day, I was lucky enough to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain that my daughter was looking forward to. There is also a large terrace on the floor of the hotel with better scenery. Guests staying in the hotel can go to the terrace to enjoy the view. The hotel floor heating is very comfortable, the room facilities are very new, and the bedding is clean and tidy. At night, the boss also brought each person a cup of yak milk, so that we could drink it to cool it down, otherwise it would be fishy when it was cold. It was a thoughtful arrangement, and the whole family was very satisfied.

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as “Mountain View” but in fact you’re in a covered area so won’t really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international traveler’s that don’t speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. We’ve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasn’t there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers don’t do a good job when he is not around. The workers didn’t advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at “meets meili snow mountain” for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didn’t look in good condition and weren’t tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If you’re an international traveller and don’t speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, there’s many more options at “meets meili snow mountain”.

Qqi xiang kwangYou can see that it is an old hotel and can't really compare with other 5 star hotels on many aspects. But it is probably understandable considering the very remote location. Nevertheless, we were extremely satisfied with their service, especially from Ms Angel. Firstly, they gave us a free room upgrade and even decorated our room nicely after knowing that we were on our honeymoon. Angel also contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was ok, she was so friendly and helpful throughout, and when we were leaving, she even went out of her way to make multiple phone calls to make sure our bus seats back to Shangri-la was secured. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThere are snow-capped mountains on three sides, the White Horse Snow Mountain on the left, the Goddess Peak and the Five Crowns Peak facing each other, and the General Peak and Kawagebo's head on the right. It should be the best location in the whole Yubeng. The overall view is very clean, and the only regret is that the wooden structure is not soundproof.

The room was well-arranged and reasonably furnished, the facilities were brand new and fully equipped, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, which made me sleep well all night. The staff was warm and thoughtful, from the patient and meticulous check-in to the caring care during the stay, which made people feel at home. The hotel restaurant has rich and delicious dishes, and the breakfast options are particularly diverse. The location is also very advantageous, with convenient transportation around and close to many attractions and shopping areas. I strongly recommend it to all travelers, and I believe you will also leave good memories here.
