The service staff in the store are basically young brothers and sisters, who are very young and energetic. The address is right next to the ancient city, parking is very convenient and easy to find. The bathtub in his house can also be disinfected twice, and the hygiene is really good. Super recommended! ! ! It would be a real loss if you can’t stay at his house in Datong. The small courtyard is comfortable, with two entrances inside and outside. There is a hawthorn tree in the courtyard. It is also a wonderful day to sit and drink a cup of tea when you are not busy. The hotel is located in the ancient city. If you have good foot strength, you can walk to any scenic spot in the ancient city. This time, time is tight and the attractions in the ancient city are not visited. I plan to travel for the second time and still choose this hotel.

Very good experience with hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom design is good. Reception staff was very helpful and provided good advice of Datong's tourist attractions. Hotel provided refreshment in the evening which was an excellent way to differentiate itself from the competition. Tried their chicken during early lunch and it was really tasty. Also, the staff kindly allowed me to play their Yamaha piano at the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Datong.

Very good B&B, quaint and quiet in a busy city. It is convenient to go anywhere in the ancient city, and the late check-out can be until 3 o'clock! The boss is warm and hospitable. After arriving at the store, he learned that we were traveling as a family and had booked different room types in two courtyards, so he took the initiative to upgrade our room type. You can also order food in the B&B. If you are tired and don't want to go out, you can eat in the small courtyard. I feel that it will be more beautiful in summer when the plants grow in the courtyard!

Standing on the balcony, I watched the heavy snow. A hundred meters away is the south wall of Datong Ancient City. There is a lantern exhibition in the first month of the year. Facilities: The furniture is made of pure solid wood, the mattress is just the right softness and hardness, and the boss also provided buckwheat pillows, which is thoughtful! Hygiene: The new store is very clean, the room heating is also very good, and the bath water is full and hot! Service: The boss is humorous and the boss lady is warm and cheerful. She introduced me to many delicious and fun things in Datong while chatting and laughing. Breakfast has the local specialty knife-cut noodles, which is very authentic.

Staying in Nanshe B&B on this trip was really the best decision I've ever made! The location is great, close to all the attractions, and can be reached on foot, saving a lot of transportation time and money. The small courtyard of the B&B is warm and elegant, with comfortable tables and chairs. Sunbathing and daydreaming, the sense of comfort is directly maximized, and the fatigue is instantly dissipated. The front desk staff is warm and considerate, the check-in is super fast, and they also introduced me to the surrounding fun places and delicious food in detail. The welcome fruit prepared in the mini bar is fresh and sweet, and the drinks are also super delicious, which makes people feel at home all of a sudden. The boss is even more hospitable, like an old friend who hasn't seen each other for many years, and shared a lot of local fun and niche attractions with me, which enriched my travel experience a lot. Whether it is the location, environment or service, it is impeccable. Next time I come here, I will definitely choose here again!

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a choice of varieties. Hotel location was ok just outside the wall though neighbouring shops were all shuttered. Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!

I was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries. The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included. The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride. My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room. The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily. If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn. *I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out. **I arrived in Datong from Beijing Daxing International Airport

This is a very distinctive homestay, the rooms are spacious and clean, the decoration is also very exquisite, the location is excellent, it is only a dozen minutes walk from the attractions and restaurants inside the city wall, the facilities are complete, there is an intelligent voice assistant, and it is very comfortable to stay. The front desk staff are very good, very proactive and enthusiastic, and the breakfast is also good, which is Datong's special knife-cut noodles and tofu powder. I personally think it is very cost-effective.

Hotel is in a great location in the old city, being in front of the Bell Tower and 2 minutes' walk from Huayan Monastery and 5 minutes from the Nine Dragon Wall. Being in a pedestrianized area means there is no traffic noise and is near many restaurants and shops. Rooms are nicely appointed and very clean with a hot and strong shower. The reception is very friendly and helpful and was organized a car and driver for me to visit both Yungang Grottos and Hanging Temple in a single day. The lady at the reception even lend me a winter hat as she feels I wasn't appropriately dressed for the cold weather. Will definitely stay again.
