I have been a rewards member with Holiday Inn since 2015 and always stay with them. Until now. This Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport South is the WORST I have ever stayed at. It's not the hotel or the rooms, those were great, it was the staff, the shuttle service, and several peopleI spoke to on the phone. One of the reasons I chose this Holiday Inn was the shuttle service. I few in to Ft Lauderdale and arrived just after midnight. I called for the "24" hour shuttle and was told that it ended at 11 pm...they lied and I took an Uber $$$. (I found out they lied when I returned) Next, my flights changed so I needed to stay another night but they were full. No problem, I understand. I asked if they could help me find another roon at another one of their hotels. I was told "You can probably do better online.", but it seemed they didn't want to be bothered to help me, so I found a room at a competitors hotel. After my trip out of the country, I returned for one night as a "layover". I arrived in Ft Lauderdale exhausted after a long day of long travel and I was returning to the aitport the next day. It was about 6:30pm, I went to the hotel shuttle area to wait. I called in case it needed to be reserved, and could not reach ANYONE at the hotel. So I called the reservation line and after another 15 minutes was told it would arrive in 15-20 minutes. After waiting anther 20-30 minutes I called again. This went on and on for over 2 hours, lie after lie person after person.
