Bimbi Park - Camping under Koalas Reviews

We stayed in a camping hotel after visiting Cape Otway. We didn't expect it to be so wonderful. Our room was great, facing a green lawn. Next to us lived a koala mother and daughter neighbor. There were various small trails and amusement facilities. The room was large and clean, and the kitchen utensils and facilities were complete. We experienced different fun here.

Although we were driving on local trails at night, the road surface was fine. Pay attention to the roadside prompts. There were many wild kangaroos wandering in groups on the road, so drive slowly. Beware of kangaroos standing in the road and staring at the car. The campground was very satisfied, although the flight was delayed and arrived at midnight. But the administrator took care of all the procedures and thoughtfully packaged the bathing token. Although the room was an RV, it was hygienic and clean. The towels were very comfortable. The next day I was woken up by the noise of a parrot. This is a real sanctuary with flocks of parrots and other birds. Unfortunately, there were strong winds and heavy rain, so we didn’t see the koala. Would go again. In the freezing rain, thank you! An elderly tourist took me to the administrator's residence. I will remember his appearance and enthusiasm throughout my life.

On the way of self-driving on the Great Ocean Road, before crossing Apollo Bay to Port Campbell, Otway National Park is a must-go mountain road. This campsite is one of the few accommodation options on this road. You can drive there with confidence. The road is paved with good conditions along the way. When you turn off the main road near the campsite, it is a gravel road that can be driven by ordinary cars. Kangaroos were seen on the roadside at night, and the reflection of the sign was quite scary. It is recommended to walk during the day. It is not a hotel, but more like a campsite with a variety of room types. There is no private bathroom. There is a public toilet in the entire camp. It is very clean but the water is limited. One token can wash hot water for 3 minutes. You can really see koalas in the campsite. During the day, go to the front desk to find the person in charge and ask which forest there is and then find it. The success rate is high.

I randomly chose this shop on the Great Ocean Road in the evening. I didn't expect to enter the koala territory and find koalas 100%. It's half an hour from Apollo Bay and is right in the middle of the Great Ocean Road. According to a Chinese here, after midnight, it is the peak period for animals to be active. Foxes and koalas start to come out and are not afraid of people. We didn't come out at night and missed the colorful stars in the sky and the obvious Milky Way. We booked late, so it was a bunk bed. A family of three contracted eight beds. The bathroom is public and needs to be walked over to use it. In a forest deep in the Great Ocean Road, driving in is a different experience. There is no wifi in the campsite and there is basically no signal. China Mobile has a little bit. The cabin is very clean and has everything you need. You can see the starry sky at night. The next day, I saw a koala on the tree at the door of the cabin. I was very lucky.

This campsite is amazing! It beats all hotels! I was so surprised Check-in: It was almost 7pm when we arrived, and they put the key in the door! It was very convenient for me to get it! The only drawback is that the eco room is not on the map, and I searched for a long time before I found it! It is a very quiet place! Location: You need to drive into a forest, but you may find wild koalas! You can also see a lot of wild cute kangaroos! This is really great! Kangaroos are all over the back mountain in the evening! So cute! Parrots chat everywhere in the early morning, it's very lively! Room: Everything is complete in the room, not very new but everything is available, and there is even a thoughtful electric blanket! The bed is also very comfortable! Cook something yourself, very comfortable! There is also kiln-baked pizza on weekend nights! Delicious and finger-licking! The key is the price! There is also a public kitchen for ordinary rooms! Very good 😎 Just clean it yourself! My son wanted to stay for another day but there was no room, he said he would rather live in the car! He also said that he would open a park like this when he grows up in China! I think it’s great and I support his idea. I will go to Bimbi Park if I have the chance! It’s great! So funny!
