What a lovely hotel the Perusia in Perugia is. It is situated just out of the old city, about 20mins walk away, but is on several bus routes connecting with the Station, the centre of town and picturesque outlying villages. The hotel is spotlessly clean with very well maintained rooms and public areas. It offers a excellent buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice ranging from cooked meat, cereals, hot food, cakes, fruit, yogurt etc. I stayed at the hotel off-season in February when it was fairly quiet and enjoyed the tranquility and serenity as well as the wonderful views across the valley to Assisi and Spello. There is a restaurant Canto Sesto just opposite the front door which offers a good range of italian food to suit most tastes. I found the staff at the hotel friendly with good English and lots of helpful suggestions about where to go and what to do. I used public transport to get around and found good train links to Arrezo, Assisi, Spello, Spoleto and Siena. I used the train from Rome Termini to reach the hotel and also noticed trains running to Florence and on from there to Milan. This area is a pleasure to visit in February without the vast numbers of tourists which come in the Spring and Summer and I was lucky to have a week of wall to wall sunshine with temperatures around 12-14 C. in the daytime. All in all this was a great holiday and I will certainly return to this hotel again.

Stayed here three nights while seeing the area. Close to the highway, but this is really an industrial area. There were no restaurants or shops within walking distance although the hotel had a decent restaurant. Wifi was a little slow. There were only two outlets which accepted modern adapters. Rooms were comfortable. Would stay here again.

We were at Hotel Moderno from May 29 to 1^giugno: 4 couples of friends no longer very young. The staff is very professional, but at the same time friendly and friendly, always ready to meet any demand, including the problems of food intolerance. We chose the bedroom most early breakfast: the first night we decided to stop at dinner and we were so good that we stayed the next two evenings. Abundant meals, typical dishes, genuine kitchen: everything is okay. The rooms are also comfortable and clean. Certainly recommended, even for the proximity to the church of Porcinella and for the possibility, with comfortable public means, to reach all the French places.

The location is superb, just around the Franciscan Church of Assisi, and the hotel is a 5 minute turn right. At check-in, the hotel will give a green parking slip, then the luggage will be put down, and the car will be taken to the parking lot of the Franciscan Church. The front desk staff will help to mark the parking lot route on the map, or the Google navigation input parking lot English name Instructed to go, very accurate, the green parking slip should be placed in the front windshield of the car, the parking lot walks back to the hotel for 5 minutes; when leaving, first go to the hotel and the green parking ticket to the front desk for 7 euros a day. The hotel room is white, clean and tidy, three people stay, add a single bed, supplies are prepared by three people, there are slippers. Very recommended. The front desk and service staff are great.
