Acora Berlin Living the City

Berlin|0.92km from Tiergarten
The Management Is extremely poor DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!! The management are dishonest and opportunistic. I was told that the rates were 990 for the 6 off months and it would go up to 1290 only for the prime months. I moved into these premises with this agreement and it turns out a false pretence and what I deem was deliberate deceit by management. Now that I am here, they want 1600/month for the entire 12 months. After talking to numerous people I am not the lone victim of their deception. Several people in the same room type are on massively different rates. They seem to make it up as they go and this to me is extortion and I cannot justify even 1290/month when I consider these following experiences 1/ Took over a month to get my document to register with the Government, which you are required to do within 14 days... I don’t seem to be the isolated case reading other reviews 2/ The rooms are not cleaned on schedule.. had to ask over and over daily and it wasn’t done for nearly two weeks - also not an isolated case. 3/ The internet is a disgrace here. It is always unusable. Either you cannot connect and you need to constantly go next door to ask them to reboot the router or when you can connect it constantly drops out to zero Mbps. The maximum speed I have gotten here is around 5Mbps download with a Zero upload speed and a ridiculous 400ms ping. Currently it is again not working and takes forever to even load the google search page to write this review. Trying to access the website to find alternate accomodation is painstaking. They constantly say it will be fixed tomorrow and it is not If you watch movies or sports via the internet, forget it now, It won’t happen! 4/ I had to take cold showers for two days because the hot water was not working and for days prior it was just warm. I was told that everyone was taking showers at the same time, but the hot water was not working at anytime including when trying to wash dishes. 5/ The Vending Machines are continually out of order in the foyer. 6/ There was 3 fire alarms early in the morning in one month. You sit outside in the freezing cold and then when you are given the okay to go back the lifts are still locked out 7/ You cannot access your rooms via stairs. They did not think to add a card entry on the stairs and you can only access rooms by the two elevators 8/ There is no public train station in proximity if you need it… It is approximately a 20 mins walk to the nearest. 9/ There is no safe in the rooms to protect your valuables. The staff of the hotel are nice, but it appears the issues are with the corporate management of the apartments, which are not in Berlin. Local staff have no say over the rates or I suspect the cheap and nasty problems that are way too ongoing within the facility. AVOID THIS FACILITY AND ANY FACILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS MANAGEMENT!

We arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .
Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West
4.2/5107 Reviews
We stayed at HI Berlin City West for 3 nights. Hotel is two blocks from Savignyplatz station with lots of shopping and dining options in the Ku’damm district. Kadewe is a few stops by bus. It’s also two bus stops from the Zoo station which is a major bus and train terminal. S9 takes you directly to BER if you need to catch a flight. The hotel is reasonably priced, updated modern and very clean. Typical European breakfast buffet included has lots of options like cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, yogurts, etc. Housekeeping was done every day. The most important asset is the staff. Max L. was extremely helpful and enthusiastically helped us with all our requests. The only concern I have is we were assigned to a room on one side of the hotel which faces the train track. The train schedule is limited at night but we are light sleepers. Mary K. diligently and promptly resolved our concern about the noise and moved us to a higher floor.
Motel One Berlin Ku'Damm
4.1/531 Reviews
Stayed at the Motel One Ku'damm hotel for 4 nights while we were on holiday in Berlin, this hotel is only two stars, but in my opinion it should have at least three stars. Pros: nice and stylish lobby. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and had a flat screen TV. The room was bigger than I thought. When booking the room, because the hotel only had two stars, I was worried that the room would be as small as a 'shoe box'. However, the real situation is that the room is very spacious: after a day of playing outside or before going to dinner, you will be comfortable to stay in the room for a while. Fashionable bathroom with plenty of toiletries. Cleaning was done well. Great breakfast: a wide variety of rolls, breads, crescent breads, cheese, cold vegetable meats, boiled eggs to choose from. Great orange juice and latte coffee. Although the hotel is close to the road, you can't hear any noise: the sound insulation is great. The room is facing the road and even has two windows (not double glazing, but it is indeed two) If the plane is late, they will still store your luggage for you on the last day: keep your luggage in a locked room. Most importantly: very good staff, especially the duty manager who served us. We were originally only going to stay for 3 nights. Unfortunately, due to some problems with the German Federal Railways (the train to Schönefeld airport was cancelled, etc.). We missed the flight to Brussels and we had to stay here for one more day. So we asked the airport desk to call the hotel to determine if they still have room. We were already very tired when we came to the hotel again with heavy luggage, the manager was very warm and friendly and arranged us into a better room at the same price as before. I would recommend this hotel to everyone in Berlin (usually Motel One has chain stores, they have chain stores in various German cities), and I will definitely choose this hotel next time I come to Germany. Speaking of Berlin, this is my first time in the city and I didn't know what I would have encountered. But I absolutely loved it. It's a very beautiful city, very cultural, and a paradise for shopping. You must have visited the Sony Center in Potsdam Square. You can also find a way to get a private tour of the German Reich (German Parliament): You can email their visitor service center to apply, and if you pass the application (not sure, because there are too many people applying), you can tour free with a guide Some of the venues in the German Reich are closed to other tourists. You can visit the Dome without queuing (it takes about two hours). We were lucky to have a trip to the German Reich, which was fantastic! In addition, you can also visit the Neues Museum to see the famous Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. As for restaurants, be sure to choose Tres, a great Spanish restaurant, which we occasionally found one night. It is located in Prenzlauer Berg Administrative Region Lychener Strasse. There are the best big plates of pre-dinner snacks and the main course is very good. I also recommend Mr Hai in Savigny Square, a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, and Kuchi restaurant in Kantstrasse, which has delicious sushi.
Novotel Berlin am Tiergarten

Tiergarten
I have stayed in the beautiful Novotel Berlin am Tiergarten for a business Meeting and extended my stay for visiting Berlin. The Hotel is the perfect combination of a business and leisure Hotel. The breakfast (especially for vegeterians/ vegans!!) offers a huge selection and the Riesling at the Bar is delicious. The staff I had contact with in various departments is just outrageously friendly and I really felt at home. The location of the Hotel is just perfect if you want to have a quick run in the morning with the huge Tiergarten Park right in front and with the train Station also in front you can travel anywhere super quick and convenient. The Spa Area was bigger than I have imagined, including a Gym, a Sauna, Steam Bath and a really huge outdoor sun terrace. I will definitely visit this Hotel again when I travel to Berlin. For me personally- my best Hotel stay ever.
Kpm Hotel & Residences
4.6/544 Reviews
Enjoyed every aspect of staying at KPM Hotel and Residences with only one issue. On the last morning I was there, I went down to the restaurant late morning, to have a cup of coffee. I order the coffee and then asked whether I could purchase a pastry to go with the coffee. I made it clear I did not want breakfast but the person indicated that the only pastries were the left overs from breakfast. I had two pastries thinking they were for free and better than nothing. Anyhow, I was charged 7 Euros for the coffee and croissant. Both tasted like left overs from breakfast and when I looked around the pastry cart was gone and my guess is that what was there would have been thrown out. I went to pay thinking it was my fault but then because I wanted to pay by visa card, the waiter said it would be 10 Euro! I mentioned this to the staff member on the desk when I checked out and she agree it was poor service but she still charged me. It was the one big blemish on your excellent hotel and a real pity. Staff need to be able to use some judgement and/or initiative to waiver the cost is situations which ultimately reflect badly on the hotel for the gain of 7 Euros. Anyhow, it would not stop me staying in your hotel but I would be very wary of ordering from the restaurant outside of breakfast or dinner. On a more positive note, the dinner both nights in the Vietnamese restaurant was delightful.
