I had the pleasure of staying at The Montien for 3 weeks 2 months ago when on a company-booked trip. My room and bed were extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of natural light and unobstructed views, quality amenities including a Nespresso machine. The Montien decor is modern, Thai style and beautiful. The breakfast buffet is bountiful, with plenty of variety. Pierre Pelletier, the Area General Manager and his team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was outstanding! Then this month when my family and I planned a vacation to Bangkok I picked this hotel as our base. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the sky and underground trains, many must-go-to restaurants, cafes, Siam Paragon, temples, Chinatown, night walks and more. We were welcomed with incredible 5-star Thai hospitality. Special mention to Khun Nu, her front desk team and night manager Khun Jew for handling flight delays, airport transfers and arranging pick up of lost luggage, Khun Tik for his world-class warm welcomes, Max’s regular assistance and taxi coordination, the ever-helpful and polite bellmen, Beer remembering our morning coffee preferences, Kae at Ruenton restaurant for looking after us at dinners, friendly Tanya at the lobby bar, the housekeeping team for keeping our 3 rooms impeccable and everyone who made our Bangkok vacation so memorable! It felt like our home away from home and we enjoyed our time here so much!

The hotel looks modern from outside but beautiful classy style inside. Rooms are quite small but have elegance and are equiped with everything you need and very clean. VERY comfy bed and no noise or door slamming like in so many other hotels. Aircon can be adjusted and is not loud. Pool area has a small pool and very little sunchairs. But there is hardly any sun as the surrounding buildings often prevent the sun from shining to the pool area. Staff is very friendly (except for one (male with glasses) night auditor at reception (night from 1.-2. january, 2024) who wouldn' t even check capacity in the computer but instantly lied to my face stating to be fully booked when (at midnight) I asked in a friendly way about a late checkout for only 1 single hour the next morning. Even when I showed him I could still book 10 or more rooms on different hotel apps, he still wouldn't check his computer and insisted on his story and didn't move a finger stating not being able to grant a late check out. That's a complete no-go for a hotel like that, the more as I stayed with them several nights, and really ruins the friendly and hard work of his collegues who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Maybe the management should have a serious word with him or at least teach him how to lie better... ). Breakfast is a lovely buffet with western and asian food (450 THB if not included). Location is a 10 min walk to BTS station or to Silom Rd.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our stop over in Bangkok. As soon as we arrived we were so impressed; the lobby was super inviting and modern. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and attentive to our every need during our stay. We stayed on the 32nd floor and the views of Bangkok from our window were just insane, we had a perfect view of the sunset and at night time it just felt magical! We could even see the Mahanakon Sky walk from our room which wasn’t far from the hotel which we ended up visiting ( would recommend if you like heights and a roof top drink! ) The room was spacious, we had all our luxuries with coffee/ tea, hairdryer and even the small details of supplying some extra toiletries ( my girlfriend really appreciated these ! ) The room felt very modern and was a comfortable place for us to catch up on some work ( as we work online ) whilst feeling right at home. On that note the wifi is very fast! Whilst travelling around we love to make time to keep on top of our fitness and the hotel gym was perfect for our needs, great variety of equipment and floor space for yoga. The outdoor pool was perfect to chill out on the loungers and go for a dip with some scenic city views! We also had breakfast here and the variety of hot / cold food was good and the coffees were amazing! The omelette station was our favourite! We were told they are building a bar and restaurant for the 38th floor which wasn’t ready when we were there but that will definitely be such a nice touch! Gutted we couldn’t experience that, maybe next time when we come back to Bangkok. Location was very good, not far from shopping centres like icon Siam and central world ( about 10 min taxi ride ) and a few restaurants and cafes around the neighbourhood. It's also a 15 minute walk to Lumpini park. Would really recommend this hotel for comfort, location, wifi and just a really lovely stay! Can’t wait to come back! Lauren and Reece.

Overall, this place is really very good. The location was perfect for us. Only a short walk to Silom Road massage and reasonably priced laundry service. The hotel is only a short taxi ride to shopping centres. The hotel itself is very well maintained. The room was comfortable, and everything worked as it should. Our room was big enough, beds were good, and the room has quality wooden furniture. I think the staff could have been friendlier, but mostly did their job. Check in and check out was smooth. Breakfast was included, but there was only one choice, which was disappointing, but I understand if the hotel wasn't busy because covid restrictions have only just started to relax recently. One big problem at the moment is actually finding the place if you haven't been there before. This was our first time. The signage for the hotel is not clear. It was even harder to find because next door there is large building construction works going on. Noise wasn't a problem, but this meant the hotel is hidden behind two-storey high temporary walls surrounding the building site. As we arrived for check in it was pouring with rain and someone had illegally parked in front of the driveway leading to the hotel entrance. We had to drag our heavy luggage in the rain about 50 metres. Very unpleasant. The day before we checked out, I asked the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to take us to the airport. They said 2 options: $500 upfront or meter taxi. My partner demanded meter taxi because of past bad experiences. I didn't mind either way. On the day of checkout there was different staff and the concierge got a taxi from the street for us. The taxi driver put our luggage in the car, we hopped in and started heading to the airport. I then noticed the meter wasn't on. My partner demanded he put the meter on which then led to a very unpleasant experience. The driver refused to put on the meter. My partner said, ”Take us back to the hotel, we'll get another taxi.” We should have allowed more time for this, but we were pushed for time and so I negotiated with the driver. The entire drive from hotel to airport the driver was aggressive and tried to bully more money out of us. I had assumed the concierge had got a meter taxi. He hadn't. So that's really poor communication from the hotel which gave us a lot of stress. Lesson learned. In future, for airport trips in Bangkok I will pay a lot of money for a professional and trustworthy driver.

awesome! B&Bs are more humane than hotels. The proprietress can speak Chinese and English, and she is very careful and patient to communicate and communicate with any questions. She goes out to help plan the itinerary and informs the route, including helping to exchange foreign currency in emergency situations and calling a taxi to the airport. This is a great help! Without the help of this lovely boss, we would waste too much time if we are unfamiliar! The accommodation room is very clean, with air-conditioning and toiletries, toothbrushes and slippers should be brought by yourself! Breakfast is simple bread, coffee, juice, etc. ~ You can also eat The location is in a small alley, you have to go to the innermost, but it is quiet! You can rest well! I will come to this next time I have a chance to come to Bangkok~

We stayed at the hotel during the Christmas holidays in family, we took a room with a private bathroom for three people, the hotel is in line with the photos, the atmosphere is very sympathetic and the charming staff. The area is very animated, there is a night box at the rdc of the building, for our part we have never heard noise from this box, it closes early to 2 pm of the morning. In contrast there is a air metro that walks just next to the rooms, for sensitive ears can be foreseen the cheese balls !!! The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city centre. If I were brought back to Bangkok, I'd return to this facility.

Great city location in the middle of everything and close to the Metro lines. Ping pong shows and the LGBT+ road are a short walk away with a load of bars and restaurants within walking distance too. The room was spacious and quite well equipped with tea and coffee, shower gel, hair dryer, water bottles, safe etc alongside a comfy bed and pillows which I wasn’t expecting for such good value. The only drawback is that there isn’t a proper window in the room, just a couple of stained glass blocks to let a little bit of natural light in. AC worked perfectly and the shower pressure was good. Would stay again for a budget city base
