Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista

I love the character of this hotel, its charm is special and the rooms have a class. This time I was disappointed by the continuous passage of people from a colloquium, the noise of the rolling plate of the room service and I had neighbors especially the second night when I heard everything: their discussion, their physical noise, their television. It was hell, and I realized I was in a larger room, a passage through a simple door communicated with the next room (109/107). The hotel has a very good location, and it is very good for you to find a good location. On the other hand my room was quiet, but without double glass, the goods passing the night made me a party! The restaurant Mil Cent is in the centre of the hotel, with a nice restaurant, good products, pleasant reception, excellent iberic jam, Dilmah tea. The rooms are clean and the staff are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean and the rooms are clean There are other hotels with very good standing, that's what I'll try next time.

Barcelo Hotel Oviedo Cervantes

Oviedo|1.05km from Oviedo Archiepiscopal Palace
This is a lovely, well-located hotel with friendly, diligent staff. Our ”superior” (i.e. standard) room was relatively large and very comfortable with perhaps the most luxurious bedding we encountered during our three week sojourn by car across northern Spain. The site offers easy and very enjoyable walking routes to the city centre and old town and it is surrounded by a good range of restaurants and bars. A special shout-out to our multilingual friend Alberto at reception who made us feel especially welcome and who gave us several good recommendations to enhance our stay. Our only misgiving about the place was in regard to the hotel restaurant, La Palmero del Indiano. The space is stylish and welcoming and the servers we had during two dinners, a lunch, and a room service delivery were clearly doing their very gracious best. However, our unfortunate impression was that the restaurant was understaffed and service suffered as a result. Yes, we did take account of the fact that meals tend to unfold at a more leisurely pace than we are used to in Canada. But, more than once, the dishes we received were not what we had ordered or, worse, the requested items never appeared at all. Skip this part if TL;DR is already a factor. It is clearly on us for not being able to speak Spanish, but another dimension of the problem seemed to occur once the servers left the table with our orders in English then tried to match them to the corresponding dishes on the Spanish menu before sending their ticket to the kitchen. This seemed to be a problem every/every time we placed an order, even when we tried to do the matching ourselves by simultaneously consulting both the English and Spanish menus. So, managers, here is an obvious suggestion: Either (a) assign a number to menu items on both English and Spanish menus to ease the job of your servers and minimize confusion, or (b) include a subscript of their Spanish names on the English menu. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to returning there, and to the great city of Oviedo, in the next year.

Green Hostel Oviedo

Oviedo|0.26km from Oviedo Archiepiscopal Palace
Stay here for 2 nights The hostel is located in the heart of the historic centre Oviedo, just one street away from the bustling Plaza de la Constitución and City Hall of Oviedo. The hostel is about 15 minutes walk from the main bus and train station in the city and pretty easy to find once I find my way to the city hall. Check-in was really straightforward as the hostel asked me to check in online and all reception needed was my passport to confirm my identity. I was shown all around the hostel, including the kitchen, common area and of course the dorm. The dorm was a four bed dorm with 2 bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The shower and toilets worked well. The bunks were the wooden frame variety, although it was pretty sturdy. Even though my bunkmate was a bit of a night owl, I still got 2 nights of good sleep. The mattress was some kind of thick foam and really comfortable. The covers were thick and I had asked for an extra blanket. Even though it was cold, it still felt warm and cosy under the blankets. Breakfast was provided and mainly consisted of cereals, toasts and spreads, tea and coffee. Nothing fancy, but good for the price of the stay. The kitchen and plenty of utensils as well as cooking equipment, and could be used by guests for cooking too. The hostel is also situated on two floors, with the upper floor also containing rooms, a kitchen and a terrace. It was too cold to use at this time of the year, but I did wander up and it has a lovely view of the city hall. The hostel, room and bathroom were kept clean throughout my stay. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. They have lots of information for things to do and see in Oviedo and the surrounding area. I would have no hesitation staying at Green Hostel again.

We had booked a 3 night stay but extended it to 4 nights because it was so lovely. Our room and balcony had lovely views of the golf course. We ate all our meals at the hotel and found the food and drink prices very reasonable. The quality of the food was excellent.

Recently stayed here for a few days. Location is fantastic as it is only a few minutes walk to the old town. However, if travelling by train/bus, it’s about 15 mins walk (with luggage). I appreciate and am grateful that they let us check in early (before midday). My room key card didn’t work the next day so had to get it renewed daily which was a pain (not with my travel companions key card who had a different room though!). There were a few steps into hotel reception and a few steps again to get elevator access- I think they should really have a ramp. Room is otherwise clean but a little dated. I don’t like that the hair dryer was attached to the bathroom wall and put in a corner where it’s difficult to access as the bathroom is fairly compact. Otherwise overall a pleasant stay.

When the real luxury is the simplicity, local spirit and good service, nothing else matters. This four star hotel is a classic hotel in Oviedo. We are clients since many years ago and everytime we take a tour to that city we always choose it. The hotel is placed a few meters away from the gorgeous gothic Cathedral and the pedestrian city center, so the place cannot be better located. Quality price relation is excellent, staff is friendly and beds are comfortable and full of plugs to charge phones and computers. Choice for Breakfast is good and with a domestic flavour. We will keep on returning to this hotel.
