This Premier Inn is well beyond its best- scruffy dank and gloomy - one of the worst examples of the brand. Our room was in the old part of the hotel facing the sea front. Torn net curtains in the room - curtains hanging off the rail. Can't open the windows due to the secondary glazing so relied on the air con which is not brilliant. Air con controls very worn and the lighting side panels by bed loose. Very poor.

Greeted by friendly staff after long day at work, as well as several hours driving - room with a smashing view of tAber front and the sea - having chosen the meal deal as well, the evening burger actually looked like it did on the menu, and cooked breakfast the following morning was cooked to order, hot and delicious - very quiet, enabling completion of the days paperwork - great stay, as always, with Premier Inn, many thanks.

Had a lovely stay. Hotel is perfectly placed to get to the beach, pier and shops. Staff were helpful and friendly to both me and my 4 year old, and despite us making a last minute booking, got our room ready for us immediately. Room was spotless and breakfast was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!

First visit. Good location but we had a view of the car park not the sea! Car park at rear and plenty of space but looked full later at night. Room good and very little noise in hotel. Reception staff good. Breakfast just about ok - good selection but staff need to keep on top of cooked food to ensure it is hit and kept topped up.

Note that the entrance is on Bath Street at the rear of the hotel building near the car park. Thankfully check-in was with a human being and not an electronic machine. No bar facilities. Lift available though only one of two working. Car parking £4 for 24 hours paid for at departure by a barcode issued on check-in

Great location, difficult to find in the first drive-by. The old building (on the promenade) is difficult to locate easily. The frontage is a little distressed. Reception is at the back (on Bath Street) along with the limited parking spaces (ANPR controlled, £4.00 a day), you need to get a voucher from reception in order to pay when you leave. "Reception" only opens at around 2.30pm and is at best sluggish in performance. Rooms are fine, but the one I was in feel a bit tired, saying that the bed was comfy. The windows cannot be opened and the air-con is limited to 19 degrees so the rooms are stuffy. Everything seemed clean and tidy and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was served in a small (maybe too small) dining room and wasn't the best I've experienced - seemed to be lengthy wait for food to be cooked, which I guess meant that it was fresh.

We got given the wrong room, we were meant to have a Quad family room, we instead got a double for me and my son, staff did separate them into two but dirt under old bed position. But we were not supplied more than one towel and the room was dirty especially the bath room. Also it was loud and too warm at night,.. our 2 days in abber were good but the accommodation was a downer. On a positive note staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

This is probably our third time staying at this hotel. Always a comfortable stay and staff are always helpful. On this occasion I wanted to give a special mention to Sophie. At breakfast this morning (Easter Sunday) Sophie was extra attentive as I have a gluten allergy and was especially mindful and so helpful. I didn’t feel like a nuisance and Sophie made It clear, in a friendly manner, that hands were washed, new pans/utensils were used and she even offered to open a different bottle of ketchup to ensure no cross contamination - going above and beyond to ensure I was safe. Thank you Sophie - you were so friendly and lovely and I’m so grateful for your help today.
