As a 5 star hotel and the high room rate, the service of this hotel is not up to the standard. Most of staff in the restaurants have bad faces, n some of the receptionists at the front desk are not helpful. I have asked for a late check out owing to the late flight n poor weather condition with cyclone approaching, a fat lady at the front desk told me that we have to respect to the check out policy n she cannot even allow only 1 hour of late check out (pls note the check out time is 11am which is earlier than most of the other resorts n hotels in Mauritius). Other housekeeping staff n bellboys are nice, the butler is also helpful but u have to find out all the information via their app/QR code. Although there are not too many guests in the hotel, they will ask u to make reservation for the dinner instead of walk in. On top of all the above, the hotel’s cleanliness is a concern, 1 night I found a very big cockroach hidden at the back of minbar. It was so scary that I couldn’t sleep well that night. For the pros, it has a very long beach line with clear water. It has a lot of facilities including library, game room, cinema, gym, water sports, 2 swimming pools n more restaurants with different cuisines than other hotels. I chose it bcz it is ranked as a gourmet hotel but I found that the food is just fair. In conclusion, I won’t pick this hotel for its average service n cleanliness with a very high room rate.

JW Marriott Mauritius is literally like heaven on earth. From the services to the food, everything was impeccable 👌! We loved our stay here. Kids had so much to do too. We didn't leave the resort for any sightseeings. We enjoyed everything about this place. Will highly recommend honeymooners to consider this place for your honeymoon. Really really had a great time here! They also surprised me with a birthday set-up in my room. The butler service was really great too. The buggy will pick us up to send us to anywhere we want. Will truly miss this place when we get back home. Hope to come back here again someday.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

JW's location is under the Mona Mountain, the location is excellent, the service is very good, this Spring Festival trip, the hotel also specially upgraded us to the sea view suite, lying on the beach every day, watching the sea waterfall, whale chasing and dolphins, zoo are more convenient, live in the west, you can see the excellent sunset, But the restaurant's food hopes to be more refined.

Very good....Stayed in two hotels in Mauritius, Marriott service is very good, the hotel is also very beautiful, we can go directly to the beach, know that there are two children, take the initiative to add an extra bed, and prepare two water polo in the room early..... Especially a gentleman named Khunkhun, very nice to children, here is suitable for leisurely watching the sea, the boat can also drive directly to the hotel's beach to pick up.....Very good!
