The hotel service was decent. The first time, they accidentally gave me an occupied room, but I went downstairs and they switched me to a private room. This is my second stay at this hotel, and overall it's pretty good. The main draw is its excellent location near KSL mall, where you can get massages, manicures, and eat durian.

I had a very pleasant stay at Amari Johor Bahru. The room, service, and food were of an excellent standard. I requested connecting rooms, and the front desk staff were very accommodating in arranging this for me, assigning rooms 0817 and 0819. I would also like to commend the housekeeping staff, Mr. Rakib, for his friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism. He clearly takes pride in his work, which contributed positively to my overall experience. I will certainly choose to stay at Amari Johor Bahru again and would highly recommend the hotel to my colleagues

The location is great, very close to the train station, but traffic can be really bad. When trying to book a Grab back to the hotel, many drivers either wouldn't accept the ride or canceled it. Some who did accept would complain or make passive-aggressive comments in the car, even dropping us off by the roadside. Aside from that, everything else was good. The hotel's service and facilities are excellent, and the rooms are large and bright. They even have a microwave, fridge, and an electronic scale. Breakfast was decent (it would be even better if they didn't fry eggs indoors, as it makes your clothes and hair smell of cooking oil).

There are plenty of street food stalls and convenience stores downstairs, making it easy to grab a bite. The sheets had oil stains, but the worst part was that the kettle had clearly been used to boil curry by someone, and even after rinsing it several times and boiling water in it once, the curry smell wouldn't go away. This left my boiled water tasting of curry. The front desk staff's service attitude was acceptable.

General: Marginally ok for this price (USD28) for a simple small (no window) room with the bare basic amenities. Sound proofing was almost zero. Could hear people (back to back room) talking, door slamming, lift bell. If is USD18, 20, then can’t comment anything. Areas to improve: Change of towels. Looks very worn out, old towels. Location: Ok, walkable distance to the Aeon Bukit Indah, about 10m stroll. Nearby lots of eateries and beside MR DIY shop. Service: Ok, bare minimum. Minimal communication, zero smile or greetings. You need to approach or right in front of them then they will stand up and do the necessary check-in process.

Good location with clean and comfortable space. Will book again based on this. What I’m unhappy about is how they keep adding my friends into a group chat and tagging them in msgs when they ain’t necessarily the ones going into JB with me… and it’s a loooooooot of msgs they forward to the group chat, granted they’re all check in and out details, but my friends are unhappy at the spam they’re getting.. and I also don’t get why they’ve to tag me in the chat countless of times, seriously multiple times!, just to get my attention to respond to their msgs🙄😪 why the bloody spam?!😤

Easy to check in and host was really pleasant. However the apartment wasn't really well maintained. The couch was unstable and the toilet smelled of sewage. Wifi only worked in the living room area, which was really frustrating. Wifi was also unstable.

The hotel's front desk service was incredibly thoughtful, with warm and attentive staff. Check-in was quick, and they resolved issues promptly, meeting our needs and making us feel cozy and comfortable. The beds were comfy, the environment was great, and the lighting was excellent. The room also had a desk and a small sofa, and it was very quiet. The face towels and bath towels in the bathroom were individually packaged. The hotel's location is superb, right in the city center, close to the subway station and train station, making it very convenient for getting around.
