We had experienced an absolute welcome service rendered from the moment we touched down by taxi. All the service provider are available and attentive to us at all around the corner whenever we step or walking around . The hotel view are superb , the hotel room design and unique and chic and contemporary, for my husband and I , the room are super spacious and modern ; as for my mother and my brother , their twin room design was unique and specially incorporated with eastern elements. The lift services are very efficient and in order manner as we have been attended by the hotel lift staff so efficiently . The breakfast were super yummy and special as in we can select our dishes from the menu customization and also there are full selection at buffet bar . We wanted to thank you to Mr Alex Liu - personal butler whom take care of us all the way and attended to us in a very welcoming gesture . We were being allocated a temporary resting room for my mum as their twin bed room has not been ready because it has been occupied by the other guest , the gesture are absolutely comprehensive. In addition l, we wanted to say thank you to Ms Jen Wang who touring us around the hotel and given a full explanation for every details of the hotel structure and art work pieces which were one of the best exclusive experiences so far as compared to all other hotel that we have been stayed around the world . Not to forget all the the small details that rendered by the J Hotel staffs to us , it was a memorable and fantastic experiences for our stay at this hotel , my family and I rated it 10/10 for the full scores ! We will be back again 🥰

Stayed in Shanghai for work for 2 days in July 2024, hotel check in is located at 54th-ish floor of the building, with a nice waiting area, overseeing the Shanghai city. As the hotel is quite sizable, check in area could get a little crowded at times. Room was located on 81st floor of the hotel, and shortly after I stepped out the elevator - WOW. Timeless spiral design. Had to take some photos there and was worried I might drop my phone LOL. Once I stepped in my room, just another WOW. Overseeing the Shanghai city and was able to see the sunrise the next morning. The room itself is big and comfy. Booked a room with club access, which is located on 83rd floor and serves breakfast / afternoon tea. Quite surprised most of the guests were up early. It opens at 6:30am and by 7am, it was mostly occupied, luckily I went there early and able to grab a nice spot looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower. The hotel is located in the middle of where all the financial institutions’ head offices are, but it isn’t exactly near to the city where all the markets area. Highly recommend for people coming here for work, but may not as much for tourism.

The hotel has a nice entrance the concierge are really respectful and are willing to answer any questions in Chinese and in English. The reception area is beautiful you can see the Shanghai skyscrapers and the bund view from there. I was a little disappointed by the offer at reception. It was my birthday weekend and they couldn’t get even offer me complimentary breakfast this was shocking for such a high quality hotel. Furthermore, the check in process was below average: 1. There was no welcome drinks not even a bottle of water. 2. I had to later ask for a toothpaste they should have offered me. 3. They did not know even take me to my room I had to drag my suitcases by myself. When you pay over 2300 RMB you are paying for the hotel to pay attention to detail and thus expect more. The room was really comfortable however, the shower had some mould and was also difficult to realise how to use it. Breakfast was okay they have a wide selection of food. However the service was shocking I sat there waiting for 20 mins after I had order my tea before someone came over to help me order eggs. The manager later apologised but for a place with high standards and on my birthday this disappointing.

The location is excellent, quiet in the bustle. You can directly watch the Huangpu River view from the room, which is especially beautiful at night. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and took us to the room. The breakfast was quite satisfactory, not many varieties. I asked for poached eggs, and they actually had 2 eggs fried together. Other hotels I have stayed at had fried eggs one at a time, which was good. The price-performance ratio is extremely high at the same price. The 2-bedroom apartment is spacious and comfortable for a family. After comparing the Westin hotel rooms at the same price, I decided to choose the sea view!

The view from room over seeing the the pearl tower and bund area is nice. The bed is super comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly. The roof bar was quite nice, allow us to visit without any fees. Rooftop aircon area was posh, the view from the outside non aircon area is nice, just a lot of smokers. Very crowded with on going queue, need booking in advance. The power sockets in room seems little, especially there is only 1 around the bed area Overall great hotel.

It‘s the low season and I had the entire dorm for myself. A bit of a pity, because I couldn’t meet people, bit I was staying two nights only anyway. The bathroom is part of the dorm, so you‘re only sharing with the people there which I greatly appreciate. There was a bit of a bad smell, though. Luckily I had a stuffed nose and couldn’t smell that well anyway. The mattresses look thicker in the pictures because the sheet covers the wooden plank and padding both. If you prefer harder beds it‘s perfectly comfortable. I was a bit late for check-in and very grateful that the guy at the counter checked me in, even though I startled him when I tried to open the door. Thank you very much for your help!

Everything was just gorgeous- the service was amazing, polite, cheerful, efficient. The ambience was just what we needed after a long trip, and the amenities allowed us to relax and feel very welcomed and refreshed. There were also disposable sheets and quilt covers in the drawer, but the sound insulation effect was too poor. If you have good sleep quality, you can choose. I chose this hotel because it is within walking distances near pearl tower and it was cheaper by slight margin . It is fine if you are a solo traveler and want to explore nearby places and now going to spend much time in a room. But otherwise not recommending it, especially if you going to spend a lot of time in a room working or you are with your partner , especially new one . The room was very very small in addition WC walls were completely transparent. Immediately after checking room I asked for possible upgrade however staff told me that all rooms are similar size . But next day I saw some room doors open and they were significantly bigger than the one I have . I think hotel staff is nice and friendly however they don’t speak English that’s why they gave me answer like that . Benefits : * very long breakfast time 07-12. This is huge benefit for a person as me who usually skips it . * compared to standards in China window was sealed well and there was not much blowing to my head at night * Comfortable bed

The hotel is in a prime location with convenient transportation. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Metro Station No. 2. There are many snacks around and it is also close to the shopping mall. The front desk staff are very good, very proactive and enthusiastic. The room without window is relatively small. The front desk lady upgraded the room type for free. I thought it would be noisy at night because there was a road downstairs, but it turned out to be unexpected. I had a very good rest. The decoration of the hotel is a bit fancy in some aspects, but it is still very good overall. The room is very bright, fully equipped, clean and tidy, and very comfortable to live in. On the day after the night shift, I had other plans in the afternoon. I wanted to take a nice shower and catch up on my sleep, so I booked an hourly room. When I arrived, the king-size room was not available yet, so I upgraded it to a superior king-size room for free. I didn't expect the room to be quite small. The toilet had a strong odor and the bathroom drained slowly. Although it was close to the community, the sound insulation was not very good and there was still noise, which affected my sleep.

It's pretty good. Basically satisfied. It's like taking my kids to an Ultraman fan meeting. I was very satisfied with the killer whales, sharks and underwater world in the aquarium. The little sister explained it to my kids, just like a biology class. Haha. The killer whale legend is very shocking. The Ultraman Pavilion is also very good. I also watched the Ultraman show. I think it's worth it. The only drawback is that the bathroom in my room has a bit of odor. The waiter dealt with it but it still exists. I had a short 1 night stay at the hotel but I had a good stay. Front desk service: The receptionist was friendly and kind. The lift doesn’t go directly to the third floor so she accompanied me to my room. Cleanliness: the room was relatively clean. Amenities: the front desk offered a dental kit. The room also had cups and water however no tea or coffee was provided. There was a tv in the room, however, I didn’t use it. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay there again if I’m ever in the area.

This homestay located near to the Zhujiajiao Ancient Town and could just walk there from the metro station (Zhujiajiao Station Line 17) exit 1 if we take subway. It is very convenient for foreigner because we could easily find the location through Apple Map. The landlord has prepared some fresh fruits and a small gift to us, a person in charge also can be reach through WeChat in case we meet any issue with the house. The place is great, clean, modern and with good location. Exactly like in the pictures. 02 kinds of bedroom: one slightly bigger (facing the street) and the other facing the neighborhood in the back (more silent, stayed in this one). Staff polite and helpful, no english. Metro station 1km away (Zhoupu). Is 40 minutes metro to pudong touristic center. But right in front there's a pedestrian street and a mall nearby that gives us the feeling of ”China for chinese” (like we saw in smaller cities). It was worthy to stay here. The price is good and we will come back if we have the opportunity.
