Byotell never upsets. The breakfast has lots of varieties. Price location facility ratio just fits. Location is quite convenient. City’s mall, large hiker market and many restaurants, cafes just across large avenue and around the hotel also has many small restaurants that are convenient . The subway is just 50 mt away and can reach Kadıköy and all other areas easily. I recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree Sirkeci. The hotel was incredibly comfortable, with spacious rooms that offered plenty of room to relax after a long day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my experience was the warm and helpful staff. Always polite, attentive, and ready to assist with any request. The location is a major plus. Situated right in the heart of the city, it's within walking distance to two tram stations, making it very convenient to get around. It's also close to the Bosphorus Strait, perfect for those who want to enjoy a scenic stroll or hop on a ferry. Another great feature is the on-site dining. The hotel has food and beverage outlets right downstairs, which made grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal very easy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in central Istanbul.

The location is excellent! They are directly above Taksim, and only about 2 mins to reach the metro station. Views are pretty good if you get to face the taksim square, and the rooms are quiet too. However if you are facing the other city view on the left of Taksim square, good luck to you! They have a nearby club which plays super loud music all the way until 1am. Take note if you are sensitive to noise. For the rooms with Bospherous views, personally i think it's not very worth it as the hotel is quite far from the sea. Hence although the views are nice, they are priced too high as the views are too far off (you have to pay about Euro 100 more to upgrade from corner city view to Bospherous deluxe room view). For those who are sensitive to smoke, please take note the hotel is not smoke free. Only some levels are smoke free. However, we stayed on level 9 which is supposed to be smoke free, but we smelled cigarette smoke. Obviously people were smoking on a non-smoking level. When we gave feedback to the staff, they claimed that they will investigate but nothing was done. When we enquired further, they just changed our room to another even smaller room, although they gave us a higher floor with a Bospherous view. Try to avoid corner rooms on level 16. You wont even have space to put luggage. One funny thing is that the hotel will try to push for you to download their app and self help via it. However it was not working for 2 full days. When we gave feedback to the front desk staff, they said their IT team will look into it and fix it by the night, but it was not resolved even until the next day. No idea why they even have the app when it is not even working. Overall, our stay was not as enjoyable as we hoped it would be. The service staff was laggard and not helpful in solving the problems. And not all front desk staff are able to converse confidently in English.

Stayed for 3 nights. The trash bag from the first day was only taken care of on the third day after multiple complaints from me (they didn't clean it, just left the bathroom trash bag on the floor, maybe the staff forgot to take it). Toiletries and bottled water weren't replenished, but they were after I complained. On the first day, the front desk tried to assign us a king-size bed room (we are two men), but after some discussion, they gave us a connecting room where we could clearly hear the conversations from next door. Breakfast was quite varied, and the gym had a good range of equipment.

Highly recommend, better than expected! The lobby is grand and stylish, and the location is excellent, within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. The room facilities aren't modern, but they are well-maintained. The AC temperature control, shower water temperature, and pressure were all perfect. A special shout-out to Murat at the front desk for being polite and friendly; he managed to check us in without much delay (possibly due to it being the off-season). Every evening, the front desk would proactively call to ask if we needed any assistance or supplies, and when we requested more mineral water, housekeeping quickly delivered it. I also highly recommend including breakfast, otherwise, it's genuinely hard to find diverse breakfast options outside.

The location is fantastic! It's very close to Istiklal Street, the square, and the seaside, all within walking distance – just a left turn for one and a right turn for the other. This is an older five-star hotel, and even abroad, it maintains a consistent, high standard. The lobby decor is grand and spacious. I especially recommend the hotel breakfast 🍳, particularly the breakfast area with its independent open-air courtyard. While the selection isn't vast, the quality and taste are excellent. Compared to eating out in a similar setting, the breakfast here offers incredible value for money! The room amenities are a bit dated, but it's still relatively clean and tidy. You can slightly open the window, and the room itself is quite spacious. Overall, I highly recommend it; I stayed for 5 nights straight. The top-floor restaurant and bar offers great views and is worth trying out – it's a popular spot for Instagram photos too!

My partner and I stayed from April 6th to 10th. What we really loved was the hotel's excellent location! It's just a 7-minute walk to the main square, where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are located. There's a local bazaar just 3 minutes away, and the Grand Bazaar is a bit further. On our second day, we discovered an inexpensive restaurant with fantastic home-style cooking and wonderful staff called Alkasik Lokantasi. We booked a room on the top floor with a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus! Now for the minor details. We checked in late, after 11 PM. The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, some of the towels weren't fresh and had an odor, and the sink was dirty. We asked them to fix it, and they promptly replaced the towels and cleaned the sink. The next day, they gave us a complimentary box of Turkish delight and tea and apologized again. If you don't notice it, there's a railway line right below the windows! The electric trains start running around 6 AM. If you sleep with the windows closed, it's fine, but we slept with them open, and I'm a light sleeper, so I'd wake up. Also, the call to prayer happens several times a day, starting around 6 AM, but that's something you'll hear all over the city.

The best thing is that the airport shuttle is right outside, but it's a bit of a walk to the subway station. The hotel is a bit old; it's officially a five-star, but the rooms aren't very big, and the TV is small. I watched the Galatasaray vs. Juventus Champions League match on it, and it felt like 360p resolution. There's a Japanese restaurant; I checked the prices and they seemed okay, but I didn't eat there.

This time it wasn't as good as my last visit. The gym equipment wasn't as new as before, and the body composition analysis machine was moved to the yoga room. But honestly, it's still the best hotel gym I've ever been to. The breakfast also felt less extensive than last time, but that's compared to the high standard of Turkish breakfast. There were still plenty of vegetables and dairy products available. Inflation in Istanbul is really hitting hard. Overall, it's still a pretty suitable hotel for business travelers.

LLibukaidechenghuaThe rooms were, as always, very comfortable, and the bathroom system was excellent. The hotel view was also beautiful, especially from the breakfast restaurant, in the innermost corner, where you can see the strait – truly a delightful breakfast experience. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the surprisingly strict security check to enter The Ritz-Carlton in Istanbul, where both people and bags have to be scanned! I later found out that many diplomats stay here… so… you get it. The hotel provided various chocolates, as shown in the picture. The toiletries cost 45 Euros per bottle if you take them home, but you can use them freely inside the hotel. There were many old maps of Istanbul in the hallway, and my child spent a long time studying them with great interest.

Amazing
MM257848****This hotel boasts a distinctive Turkish design throughout. The building we stayed in had a small inner garden with a bar, which was lovely. Unfortunately, we visited in winter when it was too cold, so we couldn't truly enjoy the garden's ambiance. I imagine it would be very pleasant to sit there in the summer or when the weather is milder. The hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's about a 2-minute walk to Hagia Sophia, 2-3 minutes to the Blue Mosque, and 5-10 minutes to the Basilica Cistern. Most of the main attractions are concentrated nearby. We did almost all our sightseeing on foot: Hagia Sophia in the morning, then the Basilica Cistern, back to the hotel for a rest, off to a museum, another break in the room, and then the Blue Mosque. The entire itinerary felt very relaxed and convenient. You can also walk to the Grand Bazaar and Süleymaniye Mosque, so the location is a huge plus. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious and comfortable. However, there were a couple of drawbacks: firstly, the ceiling was a bit low, which made it feel a little confining after a while; secondly, while the window could open, it only opened a small amount, and there was an ornate design outside, so the overall natural light and ventilation felt a bit lacking. Additionally, our room was close to a small street below, and the noise was quite noticeable. There were staff activities during the day, and pedestrians passed by in the evenings and early mornings, making it generally quite noisy. This was a significant downside of our stay. I suspect rooms closer to the inner garden would be much quieter. There's a Chinese restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. The food was average, but it's an option for Chinese cuisine when abroad. There are other restaurants nearby, but we didn't try them all this time. It's worth noting that vehicles cannot pull up directly to the hotel entrance; they have to park in a nearby parking lot. Drivers contact the hotel in advance, and the hotel arranges a shuttle service, which was generally well-organized. Overall, the hotel's biggest advantages are its prime location and its distinctive design. It's ideal for those who want to explore the main attractions of the Old City extensively on foot. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend prioritizing rooms facing the inner courtyard or garden.

GGuest UserWhat was good: 01. The breakfast service was excellent. There weren't any particularly heavy dishes, and the menu was simple enough for a quick bite to eat. However, the fact that there were only two beverage options besides coffee could be improved. 02. The soundproofing was good. I couldn't hear anything from the next room. 03. The bathroom was clean and comfortable to use. What was not memorable was: 01. The staff member's expression was too gloomy during breakfast service. I believe it's the staff's responsibility to welcome everyone in the morning. 02. I don't know about the other rooms, but my room didn't have a personal safe. The check-in information clearly mentioned a safe, but I couldn't find one in my room no matter how hard I searched. 03. Trip.com listed a ”station pickup service” as part of the hotel's amenities. Because of the ambiguous distance, I walked to the hotel instead of taking a taxi. I asked about the ”station pickup service” via WhatsApp three days before check-in, but no one responded. If they had provided detailed information about the hotel's services—the ”pool,” ”station pickup service,” and ”steam room”—and their locations, I would have been able to fully enjoy the hotel as a first-time guest and have a more memorable experience.

GGuest UserDisappointed! Reviews were deceptive as they have selected the best pictures to lure in customers- rooftop restaurant of property. Breakfast was lovely and staff in restaurant lovely. Lobby staff would benefit from customer service training. They started well and showed the room - the room looked over at a demolition site and the construction was ongoing and loud. I called and requested another room and they said try tomorrow there is nothing else. I went down to talk to them and they appeared to get into an argument with each other in Turkish and then showed me another room with a tiny window. I preferred to stay in the one with the demolition noise- which they seemed to think was fine as the noise would stop at 6pm. They also told me the sauna was chargeable and swimming pool free. Again why advertise facilities without sharing this. We decided to stay as we had paid up and didn’t have much choice- nothing better was offered the next day- left after two days and upon check out no thanks or hope you had a pleasant stay- just a - did you consume from the mini bar- no?- fine you’re clear. We hadn’t argued or caused a scene but were made to feel very uncomfortable. As a frequent traveller - having visited three other hotels in trabzon- Rize- which were not four star but so much better and having visited Istanbul several times already- - these lot could Definitely could do with training and learn how to say thank you. I would not stay again.

GGuest UserPhone did not work I could not call the reception from my room, this was very annoying Called another mobile number, lady was friendly but I did not really get any further. Tested the phone in the room with mobile support twice. Eventually they promised that they would send someone to fix the technical problem. No one showed up! Room was cold, wanted to turn on the heating, which did not work either. Called again and again no one showed up. Service is a big disappointment, I am deeply disappointed. Hatice Topçu
