Hot Springs Hotels in Saga Prefecture, Japan

I've always wanted to soak in a seaside hot spring, and I'm super satisfied. Get off at JR Hizen-Oura Station and take the hotel shuttle bus. The men's and women's open-air hot springs are interchangeable, but they are both located at a great location with a view of the sea. There is also a sea torii gate nearby. The bus leaves every hour. The last bus is around 17:00, so be sure to check the time.

The hotel lobby is decorated with many vintage European items, which are exquisite. The lobby music is romantic. The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning is comfortable. The hot spring bath leaves the skin smooth and the mind refreshed. Although the breakfast selection is limited, the quality is better than many five-star hotels.

We drove 1.5 hours from Hakata to this hotel, quick far away. The osen hotel is pretty large and have public and private osen bath to choose from. Originally we booked the room with hot spring both but have been checked into a different room with a separate bath tub only. The hotel insisted this is the same room type and need to charge additional charge to upgrade to the better room that can have a separate hot spring bath. I called Trip.com and they admitted that there is some confusion on the room type and has agreed to pay for the extra charge to upgrade to the better room. So finally we paid the upgrade charge and moved to the better room with the hot spring bath. So overall it was still a very good experience. The front desk staff weren't very proactive; they didn't greet guests coming or going. The room was average, but the bathroom threshold was exceptionally high, and I almost tripped every time I entered or exited. Let me especially talk about the large public bath—the facilities are terrible! The dry changing area is tiny, so small that three people changing at once felt cramped. They also don't provide common amenities for women like hair ties or elastic bands. The open-air hot spring area has no thermometer, is very small, and there was a noticeable oil film and debris floating on the water. I feel the hygiene definitely needs improvement.

Hotel is old. Hotel floor corridors are dim. Fulton are too thin. It is the first onsen hotel did not supply body location in the public bath. Room amenities such as facial products, utensils, coffee are not place in the lobby. They are in the front office counter drawer. You have to ask to get it. But there are special shops inside the hotel. That is amazing. Free welcome green tea for each guest. Morning 9:00-10:00 public bath stop operate for cleaning.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff immediately came to collect our luggage and provided friendly check-in service, making us feel right at home. The hot spring was fantastic, the sauna was great, and the breakfast was delicious. The mocha coffee was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were great too… The only downside was the poor soundproofing. We were on the first floor, and there was a chimney right outside the window; we smelled smoke all night, even our pajamas smelled of smoke. It's a shame the windows weren't airtight and the soundproofing was poor; the room door opened and closed very loudly. Overall, though, it was a great experience, and I really liked it.

On a Saturday night, it’s cheaper to stay at a hotel in Ureshino Onsen than in Fukuoka! The facilities in the lobby and rooms are OK, it feels like it is run with care, but the toilet in the room is really not very good, a bit dilapidated and a bit smelly. The hot springs in the large bath were comfortable and clean. Dinner was also a surprise with decent food options and breakfast was able to make your own sashimi donburi. About 6 minutes walk from the bus center, quiet along the way.

It is said that it was a hotel where the emperor had stayed before, so I chose Shunkeiya. In fact, there are not many hotels to choose from in Takeo Onsen Street. The hotel rooms are quite modern and the bathroom toilets flush automatically. The dinner is quite sumptuous, and the breakfast is a decent Japanese breakfast. The hot springs are pretty average, one indoor and one outdoor. Half of the shops on Takeo Onsen Street are open and half are closed, which is a bit depressed. The hotel is about one kilometer away from Takeo Onsen Station. Call the hotel and they will pick you up from the station.

It is an old hotel, the service attitude is OK. It is a bit difficult to drag the big luggage from the parking lot to the hotel lobby, but the waiter who comes out to greet you will not help you carry the luggage. The room was big and clean, with one night and two meals. Both meals were rich and I was so full that I couldn't eat any more. There are public indoor and outdoor baths. The hot spring water is of very good quality, and your skin will feel smooth after a bath. Free drinks are available in the lobby, and you will be given a small bag of rice when you check out. The shabu shabu dinner was served in the room, and just like what the online reviews said, the whole room smelled like food, which was not very pleasant. But overall I am very satisfied.

The hotel is not far from the station and has a long history. The service staff are very enthusiastic. I booked a one-night stay with two meals. The food was very delicious. The outdoor hot spring environment is very good and the water is very good and clean.
