Decently sized room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It’s a good place to stay if you have rented your own car. Carpark for 1700yen per day. In its lobby there is a Familymart so and a souvenir store so overall it’s a convenient place! Didn’t get a chance to really explore its amenities as I’m out most of the days, but I would recommend for its price!

Our stay in Okinawa was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's location is superb, right by the shopping district and the beach, making it super convenient for dining, entertainment, and everything else. Although the room wasn't huge, it was cozy and impeccably clean. The separate shower and toilet were a really practical touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to help, and even went out of their way to recommend local eateries and sightseeing routes. Overall, it offered great value for money and perfectly suited our vacation needs. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

This hotel offers great value for money, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. They have complimentary drinks and beer every day. The Chinese staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's right next to the monorail but surprisingly quiet. The location is excellent, just off Kokusai Dori.

This might be the best hotel on Senagajima… hmm… the sunset is beautiful, the sea view is beautiful, and watching planes take off and land is also beautiful… but… the hotel's hot spring had a rotten, watery smell, the restroom on the first floor was dirty, there were ants in the room, and it was clear that many facilities hadn't even been wiped down in a long time. The staff were actually quite patient, and English communication was fine, but then there was an unexpected incident: I am very sure my wife and I are mindful of noise levels in public, yet during dinner, simply because I borrowed a phone, an elderly Japanese man at the next table, without any warning, yelled “shut up” like an animal. And the nearby staff member did nothing… If it weren't for considering international relations and being in a foreign country, I really would have wanted to have a vocabulary contest with that animal-like old man… To be honest, this was my first time encountering such an incident in Japan, but the hotel staff’s inaction completely ruined my impression of the place.

Buses and monorails are actually very easy to take. The service was good too. It turns out that the sound insulation is poor when sleeping. Be mentally prepared to walk around or be woken up by the alarm clock next door in the morning when staying in a capsule hotel. The common area is large. Very comfortable

It’s surrounded by massage parlours but felt quite safe. Can walk to the busy part of Naha in about 15 minutes. The only reason I’d stay here again is if I wanted to onsen. That was the biggest draw for me. There wasn’t much customer service. Check in with a computer. Same with check out. We had a small Honda N box and they said it’s too tall for their car park. They provided a list of nearby car parks. Again not much service there.

Great hotel for family. There is an owl at the lobby and turtle near the toilet and children amenities. Hotel has a shuttle to american village too. Breakfast variety is wide. I got a room upgrade (corner room) and it was huge and had great views of the sea and American village.

There's a multi-story car park right next to the hotel entrance, but the front desk asked us to park elsewhere initially. It wasn't until a local guest spoke to the staff that they finally directed us to the paid multi-story parking. We weren't even allowed to stop briefly at the entrance. The next day, when we checked out, I saw the entrance was full of cars.

The breakfast was delicious! There's free parking, so no worries about finding a spot. They also have a free hot spring bath, which is a nice touch. The hotel pillows were a bit firm for my liking, but they did offer softer options to choose from, and they even provided skincare products and free ice cream! The only downside was a strange odor in the room, likely due to older facilities. It got a bit better after running the air conditioning on high for a while.

The hotel is really far away from the city and the restaurants are always fully booked during the busy holidays. During our stay, the weather was not good so we have to stay indoor for activities but there are only limited activities for children and the gym closed too early. However the view of the hotel is superb. Recommend to go there at summer time.

PPhilTAmazing stay with a great view, quality hotel room, welcoming and attentive staff. I had some special requests which they helped with during my staff. Location is very private and quiet but also come with the downside of being a bit further away from stores or restaurants. Would love to visit again in the future.

XXiaoyadaochukankanI come to Okinawa almost every winter for vacation and have stayed at many ocean-view hotels here. Halekulani Okinawa stands out for both its significant strengths and weaknesses. **Pros:** (1) As a newly built hotel, the facilities are much newer than other hotels. The rooms even have smart tablets to conveniently book restaurants and check out various amenities. (2) Although the restaurant prices are noticeably higher than other hotels, the quality of both the buffet and à la carte restaurants, and even room service, is excellent and worth the price. (3) The service is very good. If you're taking public transportation when checking out, they'll even provide a car to take you to the station. (4) If you skip breakfast, you can change it to lunch, which is convenient for those who like to sleep in. **Cons:** This seems to be a common issue with Western hotel brands. Halekulani Okinawa, along with two other Hilton hotels here, shares the following problems. I believe this might stem from differences in Western brands' operational philosophies. However, for a hotel like Halekulani, which costs more than double other ocean-view hotels, these shortcomings are quite unacceptable. (1) The hotel lacks a well-stocked convenience store and souvenir shop. Other Japanese-owned ocean-view resort hotels usually have one or two such stores with a wide variety of items. Here, there's only one shop selling some Halekulani branded merchandise and a very limited selection of ”eco-friendly, natural” snacks, with hardly any beverages. If you want something to eat, you have to walk a few hundred meters outside the hotel to a chain convenience store. (2) The mini-bar drinks in the room are chargeable, and the prices are 4-5 times higher than at outside convenience stores. Considering this hotel is 2-3 times more expensive than others, and many other hotels often offer free mini-bars, this difference is quite significant. The main issue is the lack of an internal convenience store, forcing guests to frequently go out to a convenience store a few hundred meters away for a wider selection of drinks and snacks. Not to mention, it's truly unpleasant to go out when it's rainy or windy. For someone like me who enjoys staying at a comfortable and convenient hotel for several days or even a week, it's hard to stay long if a resort can't meet all my needs in one place. (3) The price for the self-service laundry and dryer (700/800 JPY) is also about three times higher than at other local ocean-view hotels (200/300 JPY). While the hotel's price is more than double that of others, the convenience and comfort aren't significantly higher (aside from newer facilities). Coupled with a mini-bar and self-service laundry that are several times more expensive, and the need to go outside to buy necessities due to the lack of an on-site convenience store, it feels like they're trying too hard to squeeze every penny. It's more suitable for a short, 'check-the-box' experience rather than a prolonged, relaxing stay. The quality of the seawater is also just average compared to hotels in Onna Village and Cape Zanpa.

TTK—Beware of HIDDEN COSTS for the indoor swimming pool, gym, onsen, and even the seats at the adult outdoor swimming pool. To me, this is pure robbery. I have never experienced this before in my life, even at other hotels in Japan. I understand there are sometimes fees for an onsen, but hotels normally give a discount or allow guests to use it once for free. This is why I gave 1 to amenities. There are two options for breakfast: Japanese or International. The Japanese breakfast was served in a bento box (one per person, with unlimited refills on rice and soup), but the fish was already a bit cold. I know they don’t want to keep their customers waiting, but there should be a way to keep the food warm. My advice is to always go with the international buffet unless you prefer to sit somewhere with fewer people. The room was great, soundproof, and well-equipped with everything you need, including a medium-sized bathtub. However, the view from my room was blocked by the pool and trees (this wouldn't be an issue if you are above the 5th or 6th floor). The hotel indeed looked pretty, but I found their beaches to be kind of mid compared to what I saw while driving around Okinawa.

GGuest UserThe staff didn't speak much English, which caused a problem at check-in. I had to call Trip.com Korea to sort it out, and check-in was delayed by over 30 minutes, but I never got a clear explanation for the issue. Overall, the hotel is clean, and the room size is decent. It was great to have a convenience store nearby. There's a large public bath, but it's more of a regular bathhouse than a hot spring. Guests can use it for free, but note that the lockers are not free.

JJose LoThis hotel is really isolated. If you don’t plan to self-drive, you can hardly go there or take a taxi. The place is peaceful. The spa is really good with Jacuzzi and no one was using it when I were there for 2 nights. The pillow is too hard and am having a neck pain. The room and facilities are really clean. Free breakfast and the taste good.

GGuest UserI only took family photos, so I don't have any photos of the hotel itself, but I'll try to break down the pros and cons in as much detail as possible. The pros are: It's close to the airport and on the outskirts, so it's quiet. Personally, what I liked most was that the guests were mostly Japanese families, without any crowds. They were polite and respectful, and the atmosphere was great, allowing for a comfortable stay. The hot springs and sauna are open from morning until late. There's a souvenir shop and convenience store on the first floor, which was convenient. Breakfast offers a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, but the menu is the same for all three days, so keep that in mind if you're planning on having breakfast back-to-back. The cons are: Because it's an older hotel, the facilities are old and don't feel very clean. The carpets in the guest rooms, especially the ones connected to the hallways, are obviously dirty. You have to wear shoes or slippers anywhere except on the bed, which was inconvenient. There seem to be rooms without carpet, but you'll have to look into it based on your personal preferences. The most inconvenient part of the experience was the walkway. The walkway between the main building and the annex is long, and the elevators have different floor numbers, which can be confusing (in the main building, you press the 2nd floor button, and in the annex, you press the 3rd floor button). The annex also has elevators at both ends, one for floors 1-6, the other for floors 2-12. For example, if you're in a room on the 11th floor and want to get to the first floor, you have to take the elevator on the left to the 3rd floor, then the elevator at the opposite end, and then go back to the first floor. LOL The microwave is only on the first floor, and I had a really hard time using it once. I was a bit confused as to why they made it this way. And parking is 1,800 yen per day. There's also a private parking lot right in front for 700 yen. You can just park in the annex if there's an empty space... Instead, if you park in the paid mechanical parking lot, they'll check your ticket when you enter and exit, and it takes a long time. Absolutely don't do it.
