A truly distinguished experience. It feels like royalty once graced these halls. The reception staff exude the professionalism of the Imperial Hotel, and the hotel itself is luxurious and well-maintained. We chose it because of the shuttle bus from the bus terminal opposite JR Station, which made sightseeing very convenient. The onsen doesn't require reservations, and while photos aren't allowed inside, there's a designated viewing platform for pictures. Areas for improvement: Housekeeping needs better training. The person who cleaned my room that day really needs to improve. The cleaning quality was equivalent to a 3-star hotel in China or below, the worst I've encountered in Japan, a shame given the excellent facilities. The housekeeping service was below a 2-star level in China. The water bottle in my room had clearly been used by the previous guest, with about two-thirds remaining, meaning it definitely hadn't been replaced. I always travel with my own sleeping bag and water, so I didn't want to bring it up with the front desk to avoid any awkwardness.

Hotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan. Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise! There are two large parking lot and parking is free. # urbanexplorer #hotelinjapan #hotels

You need to take a taxi to go out. The scenery is very good, but the location is so you have to take a taxi if you don't drive. The best room has an amazing view, but the weather must be good. The hotel has its own sand bath and two large baths. Dinner is included, one Japanese and one Italian restaurant next door, both of which are very delicious 😋 Highly recommended. The sand bath is charged separately, and taking photos is charged separately, but it is highly recommended as a souvenir. There is also a late-night ramen restaurant in the hotel, which is a famous brand, but it's a pity I couldn't eat it all. There is also karaoke and a special stone bed steam sauna that can be reserved. I recommend the experience. It is very suitable for a three-day, two-night stay with two meals at the hotel.

The room is quite big, the food is also good, there is a Chinese lady at the front desk who patiently explains things in detail, there is a large sand bath nearby, and there is a light party on the beach at night, the hotel's hot spring pool is quite comfortable to soak in, the only shortcoming is that the Internet is really a bit bad, I hope the hotel can complete the repair as soon as possible and improve the Internet.

This time I came to Kagoshima on a solo trip. I've always loved hot springs, so I stayed at Iodani Onsen Kirishima Hotel. The hot springs at this inn were absolutely gorgeous. There was a spacious open-air bath, and I was able to enjoy a variety of different types, which was very relaxing. Also, the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes unique to Kagoshima, such as akumaki and chicken rice, which I was able to enjoy to my heart's content.

A very clean Japanese-style guesthouse with very hospitable owners. Small but comfortable room and ensuite bathroom/toilet. An onsen and meals are available. In a quiet area but walkable to the station, supermarkets or sand-baths.

I used this hotel for a short trip with my husband after work (we wanted to go to Kirishima Shrine)! First, we were given a welcome drink of sweet potato shochu and tea, typical of Kagoshima, and everyone was having a good time. I also had some tea, and the staff were very polite and I felt that they were proud of the hotel. ^_^ First, we went to the family bath, and it was a very relaxing space where we could relax. There was a coffee meal set, and I had never made my own coffee, but I was able to spend a relaxing time enjoying delicious coffee! The wonderful tools make it a picture. ♪ The large public bath was also okay. I went there thinking it would be just normal and clean, but it was very Japanese and stylish, and had a different atmosphere from the hotel's front desk and rooms, and it was very nice! There were several types of amenities to choose from, such as shampoo, and I thought, wow! I wanted to try this! I was happy. My husband is tall. I wrote that in the comments section, and they prepared loungewear in a larger size for us, and we had a much more enjoyable time than we expected! My husband doesn't go to hot springs very often, but it was so good that I forced him to go, and he was so happy too! (*Ü*)♡ I'm really glad we were able to make some good memories♪

Great location. From our room we could actually see the island of Sakurajima. Concurrent location to drive around the city. There are plenty of carparks around the hotel and also within it's own carpark. The front desk esp, Mr Tanimura, who checked us in when we arrived late. He was most helpful n friendly. Her made us feel very welcomed with his warm & friendly personality. Also, the ferry terminal is just next to the hotel. From our balcony we could actually see loading & unloading of the ferries.

My expectation is to have a bathroom inside and a private Onsen in the afternoon and morning. But hotel policy provides only private Onsen in the afternoon. The hotel food is perfect and has a nice taste. A staff can speak English very well and is helpful.

GGuest UserSplendid sea view from a beautiful, large, bedroom. 2 beds instead of one big. This could have been better to me. Service is excellent. People are nice, always trying to help, being resourceful on how you may handle your visit of the island. Top notch people. The real ”could be better” thing to me is, the restaurant that close really early (8.30pm if my memory is good), does server only buffet for 80kY. The buffet is of quality mixing Japanese, Chinese and Western styles of food. And also comes with nice desserts. However, having the choice to get only one A la carte dish could be a real plus. I personally do not want to get a full buffet for every and each of my diners. And if you do not have a car, finding another place to eat may become a challenge. There is nothing around at a walking distance except a supermarket. The breakfast is definitely qualitative. And if you intend to move early for visiting, the hotel can prepare you a breakfast and a lunch box for no overcharge. Basic but good and appreciated. To have another plus, they serves a local craft beer made with local cedar trees. Quite a good and interesting one.

HHuifeideyuerbushanggouThe hotel offers a shuttle service, which makes getting around very convenient. Right outside the hotel, there's a tram stop that takes you to the pier, where you can catch a boat to Sakurajima for sightseeing. The hotel's breakfast is quite substantial, with plenty of fruit, and the golden kiwi was especially sweet. All the staff were attentive and thoughtful. The hotel also has a free gym, and right next door is a hot spring ♨️ where you can enjoy a full soak or a foot bath; the spa services, however, are paid. Overall, everything was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit. I hope for friendship between China and Japan and world peace 🤝🏻

GGuest UserEnvironment: The hotel boasts an excellent environment, particularly with the in-room rotenburo (open-air bath). The private dining room adds to the exclusive feel. Its location within a quiet community ensures a peaceful and relaxing stay. Staff: A significant advantage for international travelers is the availability of English-speaking staff. Their willingness to communicate through messaging apps makes pre-arrival arrangements and on-site communication smooth and efficient. Transportation: Direct airport bus service to a nearby bus stop offers convenient access to the hotel. However, it's important to check the bus schedule in advance, as departures are infrequent. Planning accordingly will ensure a hassle-free transfer. Location: The hotel's location provides the convenience of being close to a convenience store, just a short five-minute walk away. This makes it easy to pick up any necessities or snacks. Pricing: The pricing is reasonable, especially when considering the exceptional amenities included. The private rotenburo is a luxurious highlight, and the inclusion of both a fabulous breakfast and an elaborate, multi-course dinner (12+ courses) represents excellent value.

CCasper WongHot spring hotel in an area renowned for its hot springs. I deliberately chose the Japanese tatami-style to experience more of the local culture. As you can see from the photos, the view from my room was really nice! I also like the fact that both dinner and breakfast were included, as there isn't much around. Very comfortable stay overall, but mind you - the smell of sulphur (possibly?) from the hot springs is always there!

TThere’s A World To SeeThis place is incredible, ran by a small operation up in the mountains of Kagoshima. The onsen is something out of this world. Rich with iron and minerals from the mountain, it looks like something akin to a studio Ghibli movie from the outside. The staff are kind and very helpful and breakfast is a real treat for those who like a traditional Japanese breakfast. 10/10 would highly recommend and stay again. Also to note as a foreigner with tattoos the staff don’t seem to mind so much and my entrance to the baths was permissible. That may be helpful to know.
