Dormy Inn is always one of our top choices when we visit Japan. This is our fifth trip to Japan, and it's also our daughter's middle school graduation trip. We're a group of 8 people from 3 families traveling together. The hotel is conveniently located on the main shopping street in downtown Matsuyama, with the city tram station just a 5-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the rooftop hot spring (onsen) is excellent as always. The complimentary late-night ramen is also a nice touch, and the footbath at the hotel entrance is a unique feature. We also smoothly received the JR train tickets our Japanese friend helped us buy. We look forward to our next stay and hope for even more great experiences.
It is expensive, but it’s worth every single dollar. The hotel located right in the centre of Dogo Onsen. The room is spacious and the view of the city is excellent. The included dinner and breakfast at top notch with excellent service. The service is impeccable!
It's within walking distance of Dogo Onsen. The slope is a bit steep, so using the shuttle bus would be even more convenient. You can visit Isanami Shrine from the hotel without having to climb a steep slope (enter from the parking lot entrance).
The hot spring water was just the right temperature and felt great. Apparently, you could see Matsuyama Castle from the open-air bath (although I can't see it because I have poor eyesight). The twin room was a bit small, but there was plenty of space to spread out my luggage. It would be nice to have a place to store my suitcase (you'll have to place your suitcase or backpack directly on the floor).
The breakfast buffet was also extensive and delicious! My favorites were the French toast and the sea bream rice dish (or sea bream chazuke).
It was awesome! The hotel has nearby parking with 1000 yen per night, and you can park till next noon. It has sauna and hot spring to relax. Room is clean and cozy.
Trip.com wrong room! This is the first time this happened! I booked 2 new wing standard twin rooms (Figure 3, 4) I went to the hotel and the new wing casual room- I didn't even have toilets and bathing facilities. I used to negotiate with the hotel for more than 1 hour. I couldn't speak I finally knew that it was caused by the error of communication between trip.com and the local Tourism Agent Company in Japan. I was very tired. But I booked the room and it was full of sun. It is convenient for my family to have a toilet at night. The hotel helped me change the old wing single room (with toilet, picture 1 and 2) I want two people a single bed, room very narrow, toilet smell 😢
To praise the hotel manager and staff for being very polite, try to communicate and change rooms.
This loss is actually difficult to make up for. It is always a hot spring hotel. Family and friends have expectations for staying. It also wastes a lot of travel precious time , so disappointed 😞
A hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience.
A fantastic hotel! The rooms are incredibly spacious and very comfortable. The hotel's own onsen (hot spring) is much more atmospheric than Dogo Onsen, and there's complimentary sake and snacks after your soak. The lobby is particularly charming, and you can get complimentary orange juice and ice (shekou variety) when you return. Breakfast is served in an auditorium and is relatively average, but dinner is absolutely amazing, with each course being of exceptionally high quality.
The place to go to try Japanese fine dining, kaiseki. I was grateful for the kaiseki throughout my stay, and the hot springs were clean and nice. Room conditions will vary depending on the price, but overall it seemed like an old facility, but it felt like a really neat model of traditional Japanese lodging. The location is reasonably quiet and close to Dogo Onsen Station.
It's a place I want to go again.
I want to stay for a month with money.
It was a very happy experience.
The staff were friendly and the hot springs were so good and the room was in good condition.
It was the most impressive place on my trip to Matsuyama.
The breakfast was just right and very delicious.
The building was also interesting and interesting.
The Banto and the inn were very kind.
I stayed at inns in various parts of Japan, but the futon was very comfortable and I could sleep well.
I stayed with my mother who was old, but it was a little hard to climb the slope from the station to the inn.
But it was a very impressive inn.
Thank you very much.

I've been to Okudogo six times, which means I visit Matsuyama frequently. Every time I go, I make sure to visit Okudogo. In spring, the cherry blossoms are stunning. The hot springs are truly wonderful, and the breakfast and dinner are also great. While the rooms are a bit old, they are spacious, and the mountain view from the room is beautiful. I went on December 1st, and the autumn leaves were gorgeous! Highly recommend!
We wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!
Attention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.
The experience was good enough the hotel and the food wasn’t too bad. The hot spring on the top floor is an absolute delight and we didn’t stay in the room much we were almost out, so it was just a place for us to rest our feet and get a good night sleep and that just did the trick. Everything was fine hotel staff were good. Everything was great.
The hotel facilities are clean and the staff are very polite. They knew that we did not understand Japanese and tried their best to assist us. I felt that the staff were dedicated to hospitality. The room is comfortable and the bathing environment is clean and hygienic The hotel is highly recommended to stay in
