Hot Springs Hotels in Alajuela, Costa Rica

Very nice and beautiful hotel, built with high-quality materials and a great design. However, my biggest disappointment was that a 5-star hotel did not provide complimentary water in the room, instead selling it for $4.50 per bottle. This is especially surprising in Costa Rica, considering that the room costs over $1000 per night. It feels quite disappointing and even greedy that they are unwilling to meet basic international standards of service. In my opinion, the management should take inspiration from hotels in Asia and the Middle East, where guest service is often much more thoughtful and complete. I felt that instead of providing small essentials as part of the service, they were trying to charge extra for everything, which negatively affected the overall experience.

Incroyables thèmes, mieux que d’autres payant. Magnifique situation avec un lac, une petite église perdue dans la foret et un mirador superbe. Très propreet bonne insonorisation. Nourriture plutôt correcte mais honnêtement partie restaurant abusive en prix. Grand complexe taillé a l’américaine (et horipilante habitude demander des tips tous les 2 mètres...) mais rien n’empêche : c’est ici que je reviendrais !

We had a wonderful experience with Casa Luna! The hotel property is beautiful with an amazing garden. Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious! The hotel staff are very nice and ready to help. One night we were walking in the garden, we ran into a hotel security, Dimas (hope I got the name right). We asked about animals. Dimas right away gave us a tour and showed us so many animals! We saw sloth, snake, frogs (including the green one), alligator, fresh water crab...all in the hotel garden!!! The garden is a paradise. Inside the hotel property, all we could hear was the sounds of insects, frogs, birds... We are so happy that we stayed at Casa Luna!

The staff were all great, especially all the restaurant staff. I especially appreciated the hotel making special arrangements to celebrate my birthday. However, some of the shortfalls included the very slow and inconsistent WIFI at our building (500), the bathroom door couldn’t be kept closed, and the in room jacuzzi never got hot. But on the positive note, the in room AC was very good, the room, bathroom and shower were spacious and had hot water. P.S. I was underwhelmed by my undercooked tomahawk during dinner.

Hotel located close to La Fortuna Waterfall and the trail to Cerro Chatota (lake where once was the crater of a volcano). Excellent option for those who want to go on the trail, as non-guests need to pay a fee of 15 dollars to enter the property (the trail starts within the hotel grounds). The trail is not for everyone, the difficulty level is high. Old but functional rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is strategically located with lush vegetation, chirping birds and fragrant flowers in the park. The rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished. The hotel has complete supporting facilities and a hot spring pool, making it an ideal choice for a relaxing vacation.

The resort environment is very good, the hot springs are great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are a bit old and the sound insulation is poor, so you can hear the loud conversations next door.

The room was clean and tidy, but it was a little humid. The environment outside the window was beautiful and you could see the volcano. The lounge chairs and swimming pool outside were very comfortable. There was also massage and hot spring, which would be very comfortable.

Superb resort. Customer service exceptional across all departments. Personalised and friendly service. Restaurant choice outstanding. Rooms and facilities excellent. Faultless on every level.
