I had such a great experience at Mudong Youth Hostel in Harbin! The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. They create such a warm and positive atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away.
What I really loved is that it’s also a very good workplace environment. The space is comfortable, well-organized, and perfect if you need to get things done while traveling. It’s quiet enough to focus, yet still has that nice social hostel vibe.
Overall, a great place to stay in Harbin — friendly people, good energy, and a productive environment. I would definitely stay here again!

An absolutely perfect stay that exceeded my expectations – I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again next time!
I just finished my weekend stay here and I simply *must* write a glowing review. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I experienced meticulous service – the staff were friendly and smiling, check-in was quick, and they proactively introduced me to the hotel facilities and local dining options.
My deluxe king room was even more spacious and comfortable than I imagined. The room design was simple yet elegant, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive city views, especially beautiful and calming with all the lights at night. The mattress and pillows had just the right firmness, ensuring several nights of deep sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the toiletries had a delicate botanical scent, and the hot water supply was plentiful and stable, making for a great shower experience.
Attention to detail truly shined through: daily replenished minibar drinks, bedside USB charging ports, and a smart curtain control system all made the stay incredibly convenient. The turndown service was particularly commendable; not only did the staff tidy the room, but they also thoughtfully left a weather forecast card and a small 'goodnight' snack.
The breakfast selection was extensive, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. The freshly cooked noodle station and freshly baked bread were my motivation to get up every morning. The hotel also has a gym and a sky garden on the top floor; an evening stroll there to watch the sunset was peaceful and delightful.
At check-out, the front desk staff proactively asked for my feedback on the stay and assisted with luggage storage until the evening – the service was consistently thoughtful throughout. This wasn't just a stay; it felt more like a relaxing mini-vacation. I highly recommend it to anyone, whether for business or leisure; it's excellent value for money. Full marks!

First off, a big thank you to the front desk lady for her meticulous service; she helped me coordinate my room, making my stay even more comfortable. Her gentle and patient demeanor added a touch of warmth to my icy journey. Secondly, the common areas are thoughtfully designed, prioritizing functionality and guest flow, which is very well considered. Next, the location couldn't be better – right on Central Street, making it super convenient to get to the station and other places. I genuinely recommend it to anyone planning a solo trip. Oh, and at night, everyone plays games in the social space. It's relaxed and doesn't disturb other guests trying to rest, truly covering all bases. All in all, my much-anticipated Harbin trip was very satisfying. Thanks for the encounter, and thanks to Daoxiang~

The location is fantastic, right at the subway entrance. When it's -20 to -30 degrees Celsius outside, saving a few hundred meters of walking really is a lifesaver. The hostel also provides free earplugs, and there are a lot of international guests, so you hear all sorts of languages. As an introverted person with social anxiety, I wasn't able to initiate conversations. There's a fridge and microwave on the first floor, so you can store your own food and heat it up whenever you want. All in all, it's pretty good!

The room is particularly warm. You can wear short sleeves to eat ice cream in the room. The rest space and public area are particularly large and spacious. The Youth Hostel is on the upper floors and has a wide view. The Daming window in the room can directly see the Songhua River. There is a microwave oven, refrigerator, free use, and shower gel shampoo is also provided. The sanitation is very clean, and the boss cleans it several times a day.
The elevator needs to be swiped, the password is very safe, and the girl alone does not have to worry about security. Good location, walking from Sofia Church and Harbin Railway Station, Central Street, and the vegetable market. There is a subway station nearby, which is very convenient. Downstairs is the largest wholesale market in Harbin.

I was extremely satisfied; this was the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It was my first time staying in a hostel in northern China, and the main reason I slept so well was because it cured my sleep problems 💤… Considering the incredibly low price, I felt obligated to give it a good review. The best part was meeting three different roommates who were all very nice and shared their travel experiences… This was a pleasant surprise. The only regret was not being able to participate in any activities! The fact that there were fewer people these past few days (off-season) was also an advantage. The barbecue place recommended by Brother Nie was delicious, but I ordered too much for one person. Be careful when ordering food in Northeast China—the portions are huge!!! Next time I'm in Harbin, I'll definitely stay in a hostel nearby; it's about a 20-minute walk.

The hotel's location is super close to Central Street. The staff are kind and helpful, always greeting you with a warm welcome.
We visited and experienced nearby Central Street, the Red Brick Street morning market, Daoli market, and Saint Sophia Cathedral.
Also saw the massive snowmen at Songhua River, Harbin Ice and Snow World, and the Music Corridor.

The room offers great value for money, and there's a washing machine available. After washing my clothes and hanging them outside, the owner turned on the heater, and they dried overnight. The owner is also very kind; they helped me with my luggage, and even carried it upstairs for me when I left to catch my ride. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Harbin. It's really excellent, located right on Central Street, which makes shopping super convenient. Getting anywhere is easy; taxis to the subway and the airport shuttle are all very close. Basically, the transportation is very convenient. My flight back was at 7:00 AM, so I woke up at 3:30 AM, took a taxi to the airport shuttle stop, and caught the first bus. I arrived at the airport just in time for check-in and security.
1️⃣Location: The place is easy to find. I took a bus from the train station and the bus driver can drop you off directly downstairs of the hostel. It is super convenient!
2️⃣Environment: The travel atmosphere is also very strong. From downstairs, stairs, corridors, you can see graffiti drawn by travelers from all over the world, as well as messages from travelers in 2014. I heard that this youth hostel has been open for more than ten years, but it is not shabby at all. The environment is very clean. There is a lobby, a public activity area, a bed room, a single room, a double bed room, and a Northeast-style big fire bed, the kind of earthen kang that is really burned with fire. I also saw the boss burning fire for the guests that day. It was a very novel experience
3️⃣Activities: Going to Dongji Square to watch the sunrise and to Hei** Island are both far away, so you must have a car. Friends who don’t drive don’t have to worry. You can directly find Guanshu to sign up for a one-day carpooling tour. You don’t even need to make a guide. He will take you to all the attractions in Fuyuan in one stop, including Dongji sunrise, the first outpost in the East, Wusu Town, Hezhe National Village, the easternmost post office, Hei** Island, cranberry base... You can also have authentic Northeast breakfast and authentic Hezhe fish noodle soup. The price for carpooling is also very cost-effective, only 100 yuan, and it also comes with a free travel commentary. Along the way, I can listen to Uncle Guan introducing the local scenery and culture. The explanation is detailed and rich in content. It is equivalent to not only hiring a chartered driver, but also a professional tour guide. It is such a good deal!
4️⃣Service: Brother Yang at the front desk is very nice, humorous and enthusiastic. When he saw that my suitcase was very large, he took the initiative to help me carry my luggage. He was super considerate! He is gentle and doesn't talk much, but whenever there is a problem or issue, he is the first person you turn to for help. He is almost always in the store, which makes people feel at ease! !
5️⃣The significance of staying in a youth hostel is not only that it is cheap, but more importantly, you can find people to share cars, play together, and eat together. The dishes in Northeast China are generally large in quantity, and it is difficult to order dishes when there are few people. It is also a waste if you order too much and cannot finish the food. Therefore, Guan Shu will help organize friends to share meals together, eat Northeastern dishes, eat iron pot stews, etc. There are rich dishes when there are many people, and the AA price is also very cost-effective.
6️⃣Fuyuan characteristics: fish! Here you can find three or five friends and have a fish feast together. Wow, the taste is so blissful. There are more than a dozen fish dishes on the table, in various ways, fried, pan-fried, steamed, braised, fish ball soup, sashimi. You can eat anything you can't think of, hahahaha (Friendly reminder: the dishes here are generally salty, so those who prefer light taste should remember to greet the chef in advance)
7️⃣Finally, I have to praise Uncle Guan separately. He is super considerate, warm-hearted, and considerate of everything. Travelers who come to stay in the hotel can contact him and he can arrange all your problems for you, from plane/train pick-up, to sightseeing in Fuyuan, tasting food, to all the companionship during the trip. He will make you feel particularly thoughtful and warm. He is simply our Fuyuan know-it-all! ! ! There is no one else in Fuyuan who can be as thorough as him. He is also an old child with a childlike innocence. He can chat and play with us young people. He is enthusiastic but reserved, humorous but not ostentatious. He is like the respected uncle in the family. He is calm and reliable, but not distant. People want to get close to him and he is trustworthy.

They were also quick to help resolve any issues I encountered. • Clean Room: The room was impeccably clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and there were no unpleasant odors; I felt safe walking barefoot on the floor. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and plenty of hot water. • Comprehensive Facilities: The hotel facilities are new, the Wi-Fi signal is strong, the breakfast is varied and delicious, and there's also a gym and laundry room, which is very convenient for business travelers and tourists. Ssahil*5/5 Stars: A Warm Oasis in a Chilly City*
As a foreigner traveling from afar, I was a bit apprehensive about navigating a new city in the midst of a cold snap (-10°C!). But from the moment I stepped into the hotel, the staff's warmth and welcome dispelled all my concerns.
The room itself was immaculate, with comfortable, new bedsheets and a spotless washroom. The heating system was a blessing in the freezing temperatures, and we slept soundly each night.
What sets this hotel apart, however, is its people. The staff's genuine warmth, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile make it a true gem in this chilly city. If you're a traveler seeking a haven of hospitality, look no further.

GGuest UserThe accommodation was very warm. Since it was cold, people just smoked in the common area. The bedding was only neatly made on the first floor, and the second floor was dirty,,, but the second floor was a little less noisy and more cozy. Towels were not provided, so you should bring them with you or buy them at the hostel for 5 yuan. Water is sold at the same price as convenience stores, so you don't have to go far. You can turn on the shower room light, so don't shower in the dark! The location of the accommodation was really great.
