Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.
I'm pleased with this accommodation where I stayed on my own for 1 night. Very clean. Shower was hot and effective. Bed was very comfortable, although the duvet did get too warm during the day and I didn't actually get a good night's sleep. No way to turn down room temperature as far as I could tell (this was end of September). Very good location. Only a 3-minute drive from the park & ride, and overnight I parked for free across from Sainsbury's, which is just 2 minutes' walk from Turing Locke. It's not in the city and would've required waiting for the bus if I were to go into the city, but didn't bother me as I quite like staying out of city. Would recommend.
The room is spacious, quite new, and clean. The front desk staff and servers are very nice. There's a bus stop downstairs with direct access to the city center, and there's a supermarket and a sports field nearby. The gym equipment is also quite comprehensive.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel overall — the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed with the changing room and spa facilities. For a hotel in this location, I expected more space to accommodate the large number of guests, especially as it’s quite a busy place.
Parking was also a bit of a challenge, particularly for people who don’t know the area well. It would be really helpful if Novotel provided clearer directions and information before guests arrive, maybe when confirming the booking.
Another small issue was the lack of a phone in the room. The only contact number available no one answered the phone and went straight to an answering machine, which made things a bit inconvenient.
Overall, I did enjoy my stay but I think a few improvements in these areas would make the experience even better.

Spacious room and comfort bed. Soap smells nice. Doors are very heavy to open, so it was difficult when you have to drag heavy luggage. Location to city centre is ok but very far if you want to go to train station.
Fabulous stay in a great location. Only 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre.
The staff are incredibly helpful and polite.and the rooms have everything you could possibly wish for.
Breakfast was amazing with so many choices and quality items available.
Highly recommended and looking forward to returning.
The Hotel was clean and helpful - although many staff seemed a little less that informed - the rooms were clean but cold at night turning the heating up didn’t help - the amenities over Christmas and new year were not as advertised- and the restaurant closed over this period so bar meals on laps were the best they could offer except breakfast which was good. Food other than breakfast was a poor selection little to offer for children or someone with diabetes so we had to eat out a lot despite being pre charged for meals.
The swimming was good but times advertised were not adhered to and no one knew times - and the rules very varied.
Once in the pool it was clean and warm.
Overall on our 2nd visit - first was better I think perhaps Christmas period is not a family period in which to spend time here.

Beautifully themed rooms, which elevate what would actually be a rather small room, and made it feel like a quaint and cosy boutique hotel. Loved the balcony overlooking the river, giving us a unique view of greenery and water. And the beds were super comfy. Appreciated the Nespresso machine, the wide choice of teas and the complimentary water and biscuits, plus, the property is a short stroll to the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again.
It is just opposite Cambridge Railway Station. The room is large and comfortable, and there is a strong academic atmosphere. You can take the bus to Cambridge or walk about 1km. There are several coffee shops and supermarkets downstairs, making it very convenient for eating and drinking coffee.

CChaloExploreWe had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel!
✅ Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. They also helped us register our car for free parking, which was a great bonus.
🛏️ Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning was customisable and worked flawlessly throughout the stay, adding to our comfort.
🧴 All the toiletries were fully stocked and ready to use — a small but thoughtful touch.
🕛 One thing we really appreciated was the 12 PM checkout time, which is later than many other hotels. It gave us extra time to relax and pack without feeling rushed.
🛍️ The location is super convenient — just a 5-minute walk to a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping easy.
🔌 Another highlight was the electric vehicle charging available in the hotel parking, which was exactly what we needed.
💷 Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with great service and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe room was simple and clean. At first I wondered why there was no mineral water, but later I found that the hotel lobby provided free sparkling water and purified water, as well as ice cubes, which was very user-friendly. The waiter was very friendly, the hotel was quiet outside, the environment was very good, and there was free parking.
