Guest UserThis hotel is not near the airport. The Hotel shuttle from the airport doesn’t go to this hotel. 90% of taxi refused to go there from terminal 5 because it’s too difficult. There is no hotel-owned shuttle. Public bus 703 goes to hotel but is not frequent on weekends or late at night. You have to hire WeKnowLondon in advance.
Very misleading advertising that this hotel is convenient to airport. It is cheap because it is inconvenient. I paid £30 one-way for trip to hotel, so factor that into cost unless you’re taking public bus during regular daytime weekday. Also, no restaurants or shops nearby, but there is a petrol station.
Hotel staff, cleanliness and such are good. Location sucks. “Lakeside” view attached. Note lack of lake.

Katherine MorganHotel really well situated for the motorway and for Newbury station.
The facilities are really good, and service received from the moment we arrived from the very friendly and helpful member of staff on reception.
Really lovely breakfast with a great choice of food. Will definitely be returning

Guest UserAbsolutely brilliant hotel, fantastic staff who couldn't do anymore for visitors, clean rooms and clean common areas, plenty of activities to occupy the kids during the stay and plenty of refreshments during the day including good breakfast and dinner options.
We used the pool twice a day during our stay, visited the arcade and outside park / nature trails and outside games section and neither of my children wanted to come home. I 100% recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely be visiting again!

Guest UserThe room was spacious and well-ventilated, so it wasn't stuffy even in summer, which was very comfortable. The facilities were a bit dated. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and tasted great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for one night before heading back home. It's a few kilometers from Terminal 5, but we had a driver taking us to the airport. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus, but I think it's for a fee. The hotel has a huge number of rooms, and the cleanliness was just okay. We booked breakfast and dinner, which were predominantly Indian cuisine. The front desk staff wasn't very professional; they forgot to give me one of my dinner vouchers and didn't even apologize when I went to ask about it.

A great hotel, close to the motorway for the night before arriving at Heathrow for early morning flight. Only 3 days before arriving, I received an email stating that the car park for the night would be £7.50 for the night. Unfortunately none of this was mentioned in the booking, be aware that there is a car parking charge overnight

Guest UserThe trip went very well. I enjoyed every bit of my Stay. It was very close to immunities and local conveniences without the need to go very far with equal access routes to work and to conveniences will definitely be coming again. Thank you Copthorne keep up the good work.

Guest UserA Wonderful Stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel
We recently stayed in the Windsor House section of the hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness stood out immediately — everything from the bed to the bathroom was spotless, making it feel like a true home away from home. It’s rare to feel so comfortable using hotel facilities without hesitation, but this room was truly impeccable.
The location is ideal — just by the riverside and within easy walking distance of Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, Côte Brasserie, and the boat tours. Windsor Castle is only a pleasant 15-minute walk away, making it perfect for sightseeing.
The service throughout our stay was excellent. From the warm welcome at reception to the helpful and friendly cleaning staff, every interaction felt genuinely caring and professional.
Our stay included breakfast, which was a generous British buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold options, including pastries, fresh fruit, and more. There were plenty of drink choices with refills available, and the coffee was lovely — a great way to start the day.
In conclusion, we highly recommend the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel. We were extremely pleased with our experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

CthheulnsdeearThe hotel is conveniently located, about a 4 to 5-minute walk from Reading train station. However, the hotel is generally quite old, and many facilities are in need of maintenance. The shower temperature was very difficult to control, and the fridge wasn't working properly. The room itself was spacious, and the price was more affordable compared to hotels in London. Breakfast was excellent value for money at just £13, with a wide variety of food options. The staff were friendly and very willing to help.
