The staff were always smiling and proactively greeted us, creating a great team atmosphere. The food was of very good quality, with new dishes appearing daily. The boat was fast but very smooth, making it perfect for family vacations. A round-the-Japan trip allows you to visit many places at once, and the actual cost might be more economical than booking land transportation, accommodation, and meals separately.

As one of the few Chinese people on board, my evaluation might be biased, given the language and cultural differences. However, overall it was a good experience. The first day on board was smooth and the service was good. We had purchased priority access, which wasn't shown on our tickets, and we were rudely stopped by staff at the Singapore port (I don't know if they were from the Philippines or somewhere else). They only let us through after checking our purchase record, which should have been on our tickets. Everything else went smoothly. The food might be good for others, but I found it unbearable. The white food was terrible; after more than ten days, the smell of those sauces made me want to cry. There was a language barrier, and very few Chinese-speaking staff on board. The buffet was okay, but communication with those taking orders was difficult. There were many entertainment facilities on board, but we weren't very interested. We spent most of our time enjoying the sea view and drinks. Oh, the ice cream was good. Shore excursions were good, mainly for the elderly, and very relaxing. My mother came back feeling refreshed and energetic, and the hygiene was good. None of the three elderly people and one child in our large family had diarrhea or anything like that. Disembarkation was also smooth. We picked up our passports a day in advance, packed and sent our luggage a day in advance, and collected it ourselves upon disembarkation. Getting to the port was very convenient, with guides available. The best part was the ship's waiters; they were incredibly kind and helpful. Even though we didn't speak the same language, their smiles were genuine, their enthusiasm was infectious, and they responded quickly. My mom raved about them.

The food was excellent, the daily onboard activities were packed, there were shuttle buses at every port of call, and the service staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great cruise ship, and I would consider joining the Millennium's Southeast Asia itinerary.

Bali Transportation

Bali is a major international destination, easily accessible by air, with limited ferry options from nearby islands. Most travelers arrive via Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar. By Air Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS): Located between Kuta and Jimbaran on Bali’s southern tip, DPS serves international flights as well as domestic routes. To City Center (Kuta/Seminyak/Ubud): Airport Taxis: Prepaid at the airport taxi counters in Arrivals. Fares: IDR ~120,000–150,000  to Kuta/Seminyak; IDR ~350,000-400,000 to Ubud. Metered Blue Bird taxis are reliable; avoid unofficial drivers. Pay in cash (IDR) or by card at counters. Operates 24/7.     Ride-Hailing Apps (Grab/Gojek): Book via Grab or GoCar for Kuta (IDR 100,000–130,000, ~15–30 minutes) or Ubud (IDR 250,000–300,000, ~60–90 minutes). Restricted at DPS; walk ~200m outside Arrivals to designated pickup zones. Pay via app (linked Visa/Mastercard) or cash.    Private Transfers: Many hotels offer shuttle services (confirm when booking). Ideal for groups or luggage-heavy travelers. Airport Shuttle: Kura-Kura Bus to Kuta/Legian (~IDR 80,000–150,000, ~20–40 minutes). DPS Shuttle Bus (IDR 40,000 to Kuta). Book online (Kura-Kura app) at least 1–2 days in advance.     By Ferry Sanur to Nusa Penida/Lembongan (30–45 min). Padangbai to Gili Islands/Lombok (1.5–2.5 hours). To Bali: Nusa Penida → Sanur: IDR 175,000–300,000. Gili Trawangan → Padangbai: IDR 450,000–650,000. Operators like Gili Getaway, Wahana, or Eka Jaya offer daily services.  To City Center: From Sanur Grab/Gojek to Kuta: IDR 70,000–120,000.  From Padangbai Taxi to Ubud: IDR 400,000+ (toll-inclusive)..  Tip: Use ferries for island-hopping; book online for discounts.  By Bus Mengwi Terminal (near Denpasar) serves long-distance buses from Java (e.g., Jakarta, 24 hours) or Surabaya (12 hours). Operators include Pahala Kencana.  To City Center: From Mengwi, take a taxi or Grab/Gojek (IDR 120,000–180,000 to Kuta, ~30–45 minutes)  Tip: Buses are budget-friendly but slow; opt for flights unless time is flexible.

Bali Where to Stay

Bali offers a diverse range of accommodation options, each with its own unique characteristics. From the spiritual hills of Ubud to the luxurious resorts of Nusa Dua, the island caters to all preferences, ensuring a memorable stay for travelers.

Bali Best Time to Visit

Dry Season (May–September) is Bali’s optimal period, offering sunny days, low humidity, and ideal conditions for beaches and cultural exploration. Avoid December–January’s monsoon rains and July–August’s peak crowds for a more serene experience. Spring: Warm, humid 27–32°C (81–90°F); transitioning from rains. Rice terraces are emerald green in Ubud; Nyepi (Day of Silence) with Ogoh-Ogoh parades (March). Summer: Sunny, dry 24–31°C (75–88°F). Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar (June–July). Fall: Hot, sticky 25–33°C (77–91°F); building humidity. Diwali lanterns in Denpasar’s Little India (Oct/Nov); coffee harvest in Kintamani. Winter: Hot, wet 27–34°C (81–93°F); possible downpours. Waterfalls surge at Gitgit; New Year’s Eve beach parties in Seminyak.

Bali Travel Tips

1. Master Monkey Forest Manners At Ubud's Sacred Monkey Forest, don’t tempt fate—stash food, shiny trinkets, and loose bags; monkeys snatch anything dangling. Skip eye contact , don’t touch or feed them (rabies risk), and move calmly—it’s their turf. 2. Honor Hindu Customs Bali's Hindu heart beats strong—don’t step on canang sari offerings littering sidewalks, and hush up near ceremonies). Dress modestly for temples—shoulders and knees covered, sarong if needed.  3. Dodge Rip Currents  Bali’s beaches (Kuta, Uluwatu) pack sneaky rip currents—stick to lifeguard zones, heed flags, and never swim solo. Caught in one? Don’t fight it—float, swim sideways to break free, then angle back.  4. Ride Motorbikes Carefully Scooters rule Bali, but chaos reigns—wear a helmet (mandatory, fines are hefty) and check brakes/lights before rolling out. Need an international license—police targets tourists; no license, no insurance if you crash. Raincoat’s a must—sudden downpours blind you.  5. Sip Safe, Stay Healthy Tap water’s a no-go—stick to sealed bottled water, skip sketchy ice, and peel fruit yourself. Street food’s delicious, but pick busy warungs—quiet ones will earn you a "Bali belly" (upset stomach for days). Hydrate hard—Bali’s heat sneaks up. 6. Fend Off Mosquitoes  Dengue’s real in Bali—always use repellent, layer up at dawn/dusk, and stay in AC or netted rooms. No need to overthink it, just cover skin when they swarm.  7. Keep Bali Clean Single-use plastic bans hit bags, straws, and foam—fines sting if you don't follow the rules. Toss trash in bins, not beaches, and get a reusable bottle—locals and NGOs push it. Bali’s beauty’s on you to preserve. 8. Haggle with a Smile Markets (Sukawati, Ubud) thrive on bargaining—start at half the price, grin, and nudge up. Cash rules—small bills dodge “no change” excuses. Don’t play too hard—fair’s fair.  9. Book Smart, Skip Scams Pre-book drivers (Grab, Gojek) or tours via trustworthy apps—street hails overcharge. Read reviews—shady operators ghost you. Motorbike rentals need pics of every scratch—dodgy shops may claim that you damaged it later. 10. Time Your Moves Traffic’s a beast near Ubud or Kuta—travel early or late. Google Maps are not very accurate in the area—double the ETA. Nyepi (March, silent day) shuts everything—plan around it. 11. Surf and Swim Safe Surfing? Stick to legit instructors. Rip-prone spots (Uluwatu) need strong skills—newbies shoud hit Jimbaran. Swim between flags—rogue waves sneak up. Bali’s currents don’t mess around.

Bali Useful Guide

Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) is official, Balinese (Bahasa Bali) is spoken locally. English is common in tourist zones. “Halo” (hello) or “terima kasih” (thanks) wins smiles—translation apps bridge gaps.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
The night before disembarkation, affix luggage tags to all checked bags as instructed by the cruise operator and leave them at the marked zone outside your cabin. Do not pack items required for the next day such as daily wear, official documents and valuables into checked luggage. Retain your passport, room key and hand luggage with yourself. On disembark day, exit your cabin by the stated timing and proceed ashore in allocated groups per announcements. Avoid remaining inside the cabin. Inspect every drawer, closet and cabin safe thoroughly. Exact timings and baggage rules follow the cruise line’s Disembarkation Guide.

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃

🇭🇰Pilot Star・The vitality of the sea

I sincerely want to share with you that taking a cruise is really a must-try experience because it is too good to shoot and too much fun! I've been on two cruises, and every time I post or feed, my friends go crazy and ask, "Is the cruise awesome? Is it fun?" And I always have one answer – cool! 🎉 Every morning when you open the curtains, you will see an endless sea🌊, the sky and the sea are connected by a line. That healing feeling can never be found in the city. You will feel completely relieved of the pressure. My mood immediately relaxed, as if even breathing was much fresher. In addition to the scenery, life on a cruise is exciting: 🍽️ Food, basically from morning to night, the restaurant has a lot of choice, Western food, Chinese food, buffet, as well as desserts and cocktails, can completely satisfy your taste buds. 🎶 For entertainment, there will be performances, concerts, dance shows, and even a casino at night. 🏊 For leisure, you can take a dip in the pool, sunbathe on the deck, or relax at the spa. Most importantly, whether you like to take pictures or enjoy a leisurely vacation, a cruise is sure to satisfy you. Many photos I took at random, straight out without filter, has been beautiful to be 📷 Even just for these few photos, the cruise is worth the trip! What’s more, you can still see the sea and eat while feeling the vitality and romance of the sea. This is an experience that no other mode of travel can match at all. ✨ So, if you want a truly relaxing and fulfilling journey, Look no further – cruises are a must-try! #CruiseFirstExperience #CruiseTravel #CruiseVacation #HongKongCruise #RitzCruise #RitzCruiseLeadingStar #Kai Tak Cruise Terminal #Seaview #LifePhotos
