I stayed with my husband and my four year old unstoppable son. This very family-friendly yet upper-middle business hotel truly accommodates every needs of any travelers. They offer free drinks and snacks almost all day long, even a glass of sparkling wine - what a pleasant surprise! Definitely recommend to book a room with breakfast, the choices are amazing and you never get bored if you stay a couple of nights. I found a gem and joined membership to come back soon.

It was in a handy area if you are up to walking you can get pretty much anywhere. Rooms were really small and tv didn’t have Netflix but it does for a night. Our room was next to the train tracks so it could be a bit nosey as times. Our room was also really warm and we struggled to get the temperature to a normal room temperature but that may have been us and appreciate the heating was on as it was winter time.

It is a modern hotel with a rebranded feeling. The interior is also renovated beautifully, but I was also worried that it was sacrificed by several concept priorities. The front desk is on the top floor, but there are few elevators, so people who go to the front desk and people who go to the room are always waiting. There is no front desk staff in the midnight zone, and when I checked out at AM5 to catch an early morning flight, there is no key recovery box that I heard that it was installed in 1F, and it is wasted to the front desk on the top floor and back in the back I was excused by the sleeping staff who would have been sleeping, and I couldn't feel it from the morning. 1F is a fashionable Italian restaurant, and there are many uses other than hotel users, but there is no accommodation privilege, and there are a large number of insects in the plant near the open table outside.

This hotel was luxurious, the lobby came with a chandelier and a very nice high tea cafe seating area. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally connected to the Hiroshima train station and the sightseeing loop bus is directly below the hotel. There is also plenty of shops selling souvenirs and eating places within the station mall area. Amazing location! Room was very spacious could easily pack 2 luggage’s without fighting for space. Overall great stay!!

I searched under the condition of ”no smoking, breakfast, high evaluation, cheap”. Oriental Hotel Hiroshima was a good condition that it was cheap at this price and there was a discount on coupons. The private car woke up at the workplace and went to the hotel on foot (the hotel parking lot was 1500 yen). It is a high-rise hotel in Hiroshima but a bit plain. If Liga, ANA, Prince and Sheraton are the leaders of Hiroshima, it is a hotel that will come next. When I requested a ”good view room” at the front desk, I upgraded the 16F room in the W corner room with the view bus at a little extra charge. It will be a sharp decrease in guests due to corona virus vortex. This is an old hotel in Hiroshima. The lounge on the top floor is also available at 々, and 1F has a few French restaurant OZAWA in Hiroshima, and until recently, there should have been a lot of domestic and foreign customers. A little looking forward to seeing what it is now. The room has a green door with an accent, wooden brown on the wall of the castle, and a deep blue carpet on the floor. A red sofa with two hangers. A large W bed that occupies the room as much as it is said to be huge. Feel like a designer hotel or a love hotel. The south side of the city was overlooked. It is a decent 20-25 min walk from the Hiroshima railway station, as it is not convenient (and in most cases not permitted) to take your suitcases in the trolley car/trams. It’s less than 10mins from Hiroshima Station by trolley bus to the Hatchbori stop and then a straight 5 min walk down the street to the hotel. In saying that it is just a 5 min walk to the main downtown shopping and dining areas. The hotel itself is nothing special, with a handy 7/11 convenience store on ground floor and the lobby/dining area on 2nd floor. There are only two lifts so be prepared to wait during busy periods, the other option is to climb the stairs – not great if you have luggage. The reception staff understand basic English so don’t try to ask for anything too complex. The lounge area adjacent to the reception is sleek, modern and comfortable with views out onto the street. It does have a decent coffee machine & free biscuits. Our room was a moderate double (not certain what that means) but was not particularly large, although the toilet and bathroom separate. The double was comfortable but pushed up against the wall, which means not that easy to access, given that there was no cupboard space and limited hooks to hang anything. The washing sink was in the bedroom and the bathroom just had a shower/bath – little unusual for us Westerners. All your amenities: toothbrush, comb, razors, body towel, cotton swabs etc are only available at the reception desk. There is a coin laundry on the 9th floor (with clean and modern machines) and drink vending/ice machine on 5th / 12th floors – though there are no signs in the lifts or information in the rooms letting you know where they are. They serve a Japanese/Western buffet breakfast in the dining room, Vista Café, on the 2nd floor, which is clean, modern cafeteria style room. It is open 6:30am – 10:00am and even though it was busy we never had to wait for a table. The food was fresh and they offered a good variety of dishes. Enjoyed the freshly cooked Hiroshima-okonomiyaki, though we did have better ones in the local restaurants. In summary the hotel was comfortable, the room a little small and in a reasonable location but nothing spectacular.

Stayed 4 nights in semi-double room. Room is located a couple minutes outside the train and bus station but we had a little trouble finding it since part of the facade was covered for renovation work. It is a grand, old-fashioned hotel but it is well-maintained and nice that the ”old” touches are still there (telephone in the bathroom, coasters for drink glasses). Positives: room was large and functional. I believe all the rooms that face the castle are even larger. There was plenty of space for our luggage and it was great to have a decent table as well as a desk space to work from. Wired internet and wifi worked well. We tried both the Japanese and the breakfast buffet - both delicious. As other reviews have noted, the French toast is especially scrumptious! Also nice that the breakfast lasts a little longer than in most hotels. Negatives: old-fashioned but most of Fukuyama seems from the same era. Housekeeping was generally excellent but on one day, our room hadn't been made up and it was already 3:30 pm. Overall, a great place to stay in Fukuyama.

I stayed in a single room with him for one night. The car stopped at a nearby shopping mall parking lot for 700 yen a night. I got a PET bottle of water at the front desk😊 The room was happy to see the Shinkansen in the corner room 🚄 The room was also large, and the bed was also 2 people, and I could sleep slowly. We stayed here to see the team lab ”Light Festival” at Fukuyama Castle. This is the second time I use it. It was a room with a view of Fukuyama Castle in front of me. I was impressed to see the whole of the ”Light Festival” from the window of the room at night. The room is clean and clean. I'm glad that the bathroom is separate. It's nice to have a large bath. The location is right next to Fukuyama Station (you can see the departure and arrival of Shinkansen and trains from the window lol), there are many restaurants, and the bus terminal is right next to it, so it is convenient to move anyway. Breakfast is a cafe on the first floor. It's a pity that it's not a buffet style for me, but if you can choose Japanese or Western style, the call bell will ring, so it's a style to go pick it up by yourself.

The hotel was clean and the amenities were substantial and I could go lightly. When I went without bringing a free hair iron, I was told that I was renting out for two days I was staying, and I couldn't use it after all. When I made a reservation on the net, I made a reservation in the first grader of elementary school, but the bed was not walled, and it was impossible to move because it was a fairly large bed. I had adult clothes and slippers, but the children were not prepared to go to the lobby. I didn't have a child's pillow and I applied for an adult, but I thought that there was a child's pillow on the net, and it was too insufficient to prepare for the child. I always use this hotel when I stay in Fukuyama. The first time I stayed there, I borrowed a lamp, and they always prepare one in the room for me, which I'm very grateful for. The price was reasonable even if there was an open-air bath in the room, the rooftop open-air bath and the open-air bath in the room were good, and the temperature of the hot water was perfect. Even after checking out, I stopped by after walking around the town of Tsurunoura and sightseeing, and I was able to relax until the shuttle bus time at ２ in the afternoon. It was very easy to access by shuttle bus from Fukuyama Station on the Shinkansen ３０ minutes. It was an inn that I wanted to visit again.

The rooms are not large compared to so-called ”long-established inns.” However, the view from the sea side room is spectacular! The food and hot springs are also great! I was able to spend a blissful time enjoying various free services. The steak and fresh fish for dinner (half buffet) are also of acceptable quality. The only thing that bothered me was that the breakfast menu was a little salty. (Maybe it's just a way to make you feel delicious, but...) I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.

Loved this hotel. Right next to ferry, so we stayed on Miyajima Island as late as we could, before heading to the ferry and hotel. Get off ferry and the hotel is about a 3 min walk. We had a great view of the sea. A little space inside rooms. Friendly staff. Own bathroom.

The view is good, but if it is on the 3rd floor in the ocean view room, there is a disappointment because the ceiling on the 2nd floor is about 10 meters in front of the room. The clean and well-maintained room provided a sense of tranquility and comfort. The simple yet delicious $5 breakfast consisting of bread, butter, jam, egg, fruits, and fresh juice was a delightful way to start each day. While the basement onsen had a slightly eerie atmosphere, it was immaculately clean, and the rejuvenating experience made it worthwhile. Overall, Sakuraya offers a memorable ryokan experience, combining cultural immersion, comfort, and a touch of adventure

I arrived late on my arrival day and the staff told me they are closing the door 24.00 pm. It was quite a walk from the ferry terminal to the hotel (i guess about 20 min. walk with my luggage). Later i found out they have a free shuttle service -.- . Anyway staff at the reception and in the dining room were very nice and the room was ok. Everything clean as expected and a small Miyajima souvenir are waiting to be eaten^^. The bath area was small and good, as was the air in general on that island. After chek in you get a yukata and the key to your room. One thing i felt sorry about; Staff worked until 24.00pm, just to start working again at 5 a.m. .Thats not ok. As a result, an email i send earlier about changing my room was overseen. I am not mad about it, since i arrived late anyway. But for gods sake,let the staff at least get some rest between the shifts lol.

I decided by looking at the photo of the open-air bath. The moment I went, I thought it was a little old, but it happened to be changed to a high-ranked room, and it was spacious and great. It was a room with 2 rooms, so I could sleep 2 people each by 4 people. It was large enough to sit at the table even if I laid a futon. I feel that there were two faucets in the washroom. I have never before walked into a hotel room and refused to leave because of the view but I did at this beautiful ryokan. Jukeiso is something special, set on the hill next to the famous O-Torii gate on the island. We were met at the ferry terminal and taken through the town to the ryokan, where we were met by more wonderfully attentive staff who gave us the warmest of welcomes and insisted on taking our bags, something I always feel guilty about. While we checked in, one member of staff even cleaned the wheels of our suitcase, which I'd say goes above and beyond. We were shown up to our room and we were quite blown away. The room had windows on two sides looking on to the bay where the O-Torii gate is. The room itself was a traditional Japanese one with tatami mats in the main room and futons which were laid out for us when we went for dinner. This being Japan, there were of course all modern conveniences including charging points, adaptors, spotlessly clean facilities, a TV and small kitchen area but the main draw was the stupendous view. We were given tea and invited to settle in and I didn't move until the evening. I just sat in the window looking at the view. The ryokan is located right in the town centre, down a flight of stairs. It is also about a five minute walk from the O-Torii gate. In the evening, we went down for dinner. I am a vegan and my wife had advised them of this. In response they had made clear that they were very happy to cater for me, which they did with aplomb. We were treated to a seven course meal which, for most residents was very heavily based around fish and seafood, with some of the area's famous oysters served as a starter. I was given equivalent dishes throughout and thoroughly enjoyed them all, although we were given so much that I was unable to finish my meal. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout. My only comment on their wonderful service is that they might have helped us poor foreigners with a description of the delicious food we were served. As with many traditional guest houses in Japan, the ryokan had a communal bathing area and an outdoor onsen which could be booked for free for half an hour. My wife enjoyed this on her own as I didn't want to rush her. Beautiful yucata were provided for bathers to wear after their relaxation time. We returned to our room to find that the futons had been laid out and we spent much of the evening simply sitting at the window before going to sleep. In the morning, we were able to get up and down to the O-Torii gate before all the tourists had arrived, which was a real treat. I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. I highly recommend this ryokan for the exceptional experience including great food, staff & room. My room was a traditional ryokan room with tatami matts but with traditional mattresses. It overlooked the the pedestrian street but was very quiet at night since most tourists visit Miyajima as a daytrip. The staff was gracious enough to setup a futon for me on the tatami matt so that I could sleep traditional Japanese style. Haruka at the front desk was amazing. She speaks limited English but enough to communicate with. She wrote me a very sweet handwritten note that I will keep forever when I asked where I could buy a yukata robe. I had asked her where I could purchase a yukata (traditional Japanese robe). The presentation of the dinner was amazing and worth it. The on-site onsen was was great and was usually all to myself. It has one indoor pool along with a small one on the outdoor deck that overlooks the bay and torii gate. Upon checkout, Haruka escorted me out which I believe is typical of a ryokan. It was sad to leave because of how memorable the stay was! The ryokan was expensive but worth it for the experience. I can't imagine visiting Miyajima only as a day trip. It would be too rushed as there's plenty to do for 2 days. Must sees are the torii gate along with the shrine surrounding it, taking the ropeway up to Mt. Misen (the top of the mountain is about a 20-30 minute steep hike from the end of the ropeway but I recommend it), and finally definitely do not miss Daishoin shrine which was truly amazing. Recommend avoiding Saturday & Sundays as it's very, very crowded.

This is definitely the best service hotel in Japan. Everyone knows that Japan's service attitude has always been good. This is a bit of a good time. As long as you see the waiter, you will smile and say hello! You can try it for dinner, and the meal is very rich! The hot springs in the hotel are not a bit boring in the open air, but the bubbles are not bad. There are a bunch of deer at the door~... You can call the hotel at the Miyajima Pier.
