Hotels With breakfast in Lusaka Province, Zambia

I usually have a good time at the resort and stayed a couple of times. This time from the start, there were a few things: I had asked reception because we were going early, to have the breakfast boxes for the kids early to take at 5:30. When we got to the restaurant in the evening it took a while to be served. When we got the kids in the shower, there were no towels and when we phoned it took a while. We also phoned to ask for normal milk as my child can’t have creomora and they said they would bring but never did. Then our taxi driver let us down so I called reception to book an airport shuttle in the morning and she said she would call back but never did. Eventually after I called back, they got back to me with results. Didn’t tell me the price though. When we checked out at 5:30, they didn’t have the breakfast boxes. And told us our taxi was K400 per head! So all in all, wasn’t a great one.

Its location on Cairo Road makes it easy to visit some of Lusakas iconic sites i.e. the National Museun, Culural Village, and various markets. Area around hotel felt safe. Staying at a Chinese-owned hotel is just so convenient. They offer airport transfers and have Chinese food available. The area seems pretty safe, and the room is spacious enough. They even have massage services. Don't compare it to standards in China; you have to consider the local conditions. Thumbs up!

Самое лучшее в этой гостинице - расположение. Буквально за забором парламента. Что означает относительное спокойствие, ночную тишину и круглосуточную безопасность. Просторная зелёная территория с бассейном - романтичное место для завтраков, работы или просто ничегонеделания. Гостевые номера не самые выдающиеся, но с набором всего необходимого в наше время, правда, без туалетных принадлежностей. Два рулона бумаги - максимальное украшение ванной комнаты. Зато есть холодильник, телевизор, шкаф, стол, тумбочка. Живи и наслаждайся, если тебя не пугают периодические отключения света, воды, интернета (непродолжительные, как правило). Но на то она и Африка.

Service: Fortunately, there are freshly made knife-cut noodles, steamed buns, steamed bread, porridge, etc. for breakfast, which satisfies the Chinese stomach. All the chefs are Chinese, and the Chinese food ordered for dinner is also good. The portion is also good. However, the hotel facilities are old and dirty, and the room smells of old cigarettes. I will not book next time.

I came to Lusaka, Zambia for a business trip and stayed at the Venice Hotel for the first time. It was a great experience! The facilities are on par with what you'd find back home, and the breakfast spread is quite rich, offering both Chinese and Western options. The internet connection was good, and the service was very attentive. I'll definitely be making the Venice Hotel my go-to for future business trips.

I enjoyed everything at this hotel. The room was sizeable for a solo traveler. The bedding was just amazing...! I slept very very well. I am curious about their mattress brand, I want to buy it....! The breakfast spread was great. Healthy salads and changing buffet spreads everyday. I did not manage to use the fitness center and swimming pool on the Intercontinental side, but it was nice to have the option. The front office accomodated my very early checkout - 5am, and even organized with the kitchen for a breakfast baggie. There is taxi service to the airport but I did not use it.

Didn’t realise before booking that this is a Chinese-operated hotel aimed I would imagine at hosting the local Chinese workforce. All TV channels were in Chinese, breakfast was Chinese food, coffee machine instructions were in Chinese. However, the staff were all Zambian and extremely helpful. Supposed to be a no-smoking hotel but it smelled strongly of cigarettes in our corridor. Bathroom kept smelling like a ‘wet dog’. No facilities in the hotel but luckily a great bar and restaurant next door.

Wonderful cordial staff always willing to go the extra mile! Rooms were ok, could be improved with some couches or desk and chair in the room, as well as an iron and ironing board. These small items go a long way in making the stay a lot more comfortable. WiFi needs to be worked on as a matter of URGENCY. Being out of town, communication is key for travellers. We could not connect @ all! Please sort this out FAST! Otherwise great location and vibe!
