Beach Hotels in Western Visayas, Philippines

We arrived around 1 PM and I already processed everything at the reception for our check-in. Since the check-in time was 2 PM, we waited at the lobby. However, even past 2 PM, their staff didn’t bother to approach or update us regarding our room assignments. I had to keep reminding them because we were already exhausted from traveling and hadn’t even eaten lunch yet. I booked 4 rooms for our group of 12, including an 8-month-old baby and 2 toddlers, so I expected they would at least prioritize or assist us better. Unfortunately, if you don’t follow up with them, they won’t really initiate assistance. But instead of getting upset, I just chose to extend my patience that time and move on 🤣 The rooms are already old, which was still okay for us, but we noticed small cockroaches inside the room. I was also concerned about the CR because the floor was very slippery, and they only provided one floor rug. On the positive side, the location is really good and convenient.

The hotel is very pleasing and worth every pero. We enjoyed our stay over all including its access to the beach and the availability of other activities. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are top of the line. Clean and very presentable. The foods are delicious and nicely prepared.

Overall, I really liked everything. The hosts are very pleasant and welcoming; they even gave us a cute box of cookies for Christmas, which was so sweet. They're always ready to help if you need anything, so I'll definitely be back. The rooms might not be the newest, but they don't charge exorbitant prices for them either. It's a good place!!! However, the photo of the beach right nearby is misleading.

📍 Eurotel Boracay My parents recently stayed at Eurotel Boracay during their trip, and they had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located near White Beach, making it easy for them to explore the area, restaurants, and nearby shops. They mentioned that the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was also very convenient for relaxing walks by the beach. Overall, my parents enjoyed their stay and had a nice and relaxing vacation in Boracay.

Good place for someone looking for a cheap, budget-friendly hotel. The price is very affordable, making it a great option if you’re trying to save money but still want a comfortable place to stay. The rooms are simple but decent enough for a short stay. The food is also great and tastes really good, which was a nice surprise. However, the servings are a bit on the small side, so you might find yourself wanting a little more. Overall, it’s a good choice for budget travelers who just need a basic, affordable place to stay.

I am very happy stayinh at henann lagoon. The staff are all nice they even upgraded us. The food is always different everyday and its all delicious. Its on the road and like 10-15 monutes to the beach but it will give you comfort and feel like you are having a staycation. We spent more time in the room than on the beach (haha). I love all the amenities. They even have a water dispenser where you can get water anytime you want. Everyone is helpful so if I come back to Boracay I will stay again at Henann Lagoon. I recommend this hotel. Worth your money.

I had a pleasant stay at Boracay Holiday Resort. The location is excellent — Boracay Beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of nearby establishments for food, drinks, and essentials. The staff provided great service, and the cleanliness and amenities were good overall . One thing worth mentioning is that I lost my eyeglasses during my stay. I’m not sure where it happened, but I wasn’t able to recover them. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly and we still enjoyed our time at the resort. Overall, it was a good experience, and I appreciate the friendly staff, convenient location, and the accessibility to many establishments.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay with Mandarin Island Hotel. Everything stood out. Shortly after arriving at the property, we were greeted by warm and lovely employees. Welcomed like a family. They’re very attentive to evrything that you need. Complimentary Asian and Western breakfast buffet was the best. Also, the property is located to almost everything. From local restaurants, bars and especially it’s a beach front hotel. Would love to stay here again in the future.

We stayed here for three nights. The first room we stayed didn’t have a window (room 106). As I am claustrophobic, I asked for a different room, the front desk staff kindly accommodated my need from the second day on. It seems that they have several rooms that don’t have a window, so if you are like me, please let them know in advance. The location is convenient as it’s close to station 2. While the majority of station 1 hotels are more secluded and quiet, this hotel was never so as it’s located at the main boat station and there are tons of tourists hanging around the property. There are lounge chairs, but those are often used by the tourists who were waiting for their boat to arrive. The breakfast was mixture of Filipino and Chinese food. Different selection everyday but still ok. The room was dated but we appreciated the fridge and air conditioner. The beach mats and towels were available for free and that was also nice. The best thing about this hotel was the staff！ They tried their best to accommodate the guests’ needs. We enjoyed our stay because of them.

The hotel's interior and rooms were spotless, but the pool wasn't quite as pristine as I've experienced elsewhere, like Crystal Sands. What really surprised me, though, was that I always travel with my own filtered shower head, and this is the first hotel in Southeast Asia where the filter remained completely clean and unchanged! The hotel's location is fantastic. The restaurant opens right onto White Beach, and this particular stretch has very little green algae. You can walk quite a way into the sea before encountering any, so the photos were all taken right outside the hotel. Staying here, there's no need to visit Puka Beach or venture out for island hopping. While it's a bit of a distance from the main dining areas on the island, transportation is super affordable; a trike ride is only 15-20 pesos per person, which is a steal. Plus, if you walk about 300 meters southeast from the hotel's roadside entrance, there's an amazing barbecue restaurant that's also very reasonably priced. Most of the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, I unfortunately experienced some blatant discrimination during dinner at the hotel. One particular staff member was incredibly deferential towards white guests. When we sat down and tried to get his attention, he indicated he needed to serve the white table first. Later, when we were ready to pay, another white table called him over, and he immediately left us waiting to finish serving them before returning to process our bill. There were no 'sorry's, no 'hello's, no basic courtesies whatsoever. I want to clarify that we are always polite guests; we tipped the luggage handlers, housekeeping, and massage ladies, so we're not ones to nitpick. This particular staff member wore a different uniform than the others – black – so I'm not sure if he was a supervisor or something else. From check-in to check-out, all the other staff were incredibly friendly, and we reciprocated, but he was the sole exception.
