Great location in Hokitika, right on the beach. A number of relaxed food places nearby, Fat Pipi Pizza was really good and Triple B Burgers had very large , nice tasting burgers. The standard King room was OK, close to the pictures, but it seemed that there was absolutely no soundproofing between rooms. The carpark was too small for the size of the hotel and the car spaces were too small to get in/out of easily.
This is a small place, don't make too many demands. The hotel is a super historic hotel, things are relatively old, don't mess it up. The proprietress is also very friendly and tells you all the information. Of course, wifi does not work well. . I am the spark phone booth outside. Of course, if you change your mindset, look at the scenery more and use less Wi-Fi. Make dinner by yourself and cook everything. Opposite is the lake with nice scenery, it's good to go for a walk.
We had been advised by a relative that this hotel on the beach was worth staying at. We had a deluxe room up on the hill across the main road so we were not actually on the beach. However the view of the ocean was fantastic particularly in the stormy weather. Due to the weather we had to drive down to the restaurant for breakfast. Restaurant fully booked out by tour groups for dinner but the tavern about 1.5km down the road saw us right for a meal. The complex seemed to have several different standards of rooms and I think ours was the best.
The hotel is near the water fountain scenic spot, the surrounding environment is beautiful, all are cabins, the rooms are clean and spacious, fully equipped, and there is a kitchenette. The hotel has a restaurant with a wide variety and good taste.
A quiet Motel on the coastline, you can hear insects, breakfast is simple and basically no difference, it seems that there is only a big bed room, parking casually, there is a western food bar at the door of the hotel, and driving to Westport is like a ghost town, street Very few stores are open. The hotel, as a Motel, provides good toiletries. The owner’s dog is called Jimmy.
He said check-in was only allowed before 8:00 PM, which is why they're cheap.
We checked in at 9:00 PM, and they kindly showed us what to do nearby.
There's a kitchen, a billiards room, and a piano and guitar area.
The atmosphere in the evening was really fun!
The room, which I expected to be small, was actually quite nice; the bed was sturdy, and there was a sink.
There's no hairdryer; you have to use a heater to dry your hair!
Highly recommend staying here!! Just be careful not to be late for check-in.
It should be a better motel in Greymouth. Generally, the problem with motels is that they smell bad and the furniture is old, but this one is relatively new and clean.

The apartment is very comfortable, but it's easy to get out there, but it's very accessible on the big street. The apartment is obeyed, but there was no congestion.
In the town of hokitika on the west coast of New Zealand, very close to the Firefly Valley, the grasshopper needs a few minutes walk. In addition, the hokitika valley is also worth going, the water is blue and clear and bright. A little better in New Zealand, the attractions are basically free. We booked the cheapest room with no separate bathroom. In addition, pay attention to Trip.com can not contact the store directly. It is booked through other agents. The room type facilities in the middle may have errors.

CCherie.CCThe hotel is great within walking distance to the train station for Tranzalpine, restaurant in the hotel offer awesome food and drink, the room is slightly basic with no air conditioning, however it has a fan and a heater

WWater TravelThe staff is very helpful, she asked me where to go when checking out, she told us the road is being blocked for our next next station. So that we can change our itinerary anc book another motel, otherwise our trip will be in a mess.
The motel location is good, only the walking distance can reach the town center and the beach. However the motel is quiet, we can hear the bird sound to wake us up.
But pls note that the motel do not provide toothpaste and toothbrush, remember bring them by yourself.

AAnonymous UserConvenient location whish is just off Highway 6 at the entrance to Greymouth and few minutes drive to town centre. Kitchen is well-layout and fully equipped with electric stove and microwave oven 👍. Bathroom will be more use-friendly if some hooks are installed on the wall for towels and clothings. We enjoyed the coastal drive to the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes very much.
MMojishenVery good stay experience! Fully equipped, clean and hygienic, with everything you need during your trip. I really like staying at the motel during the trip, which is very convenient. Greymouth is now a quiet town, and you will find the beauty of it.
