Beach Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

Room is at the busy road and next to construction site, had difficult time sleeping at night, had to nap in afternoon. Love the powerful hair dryer, wanted to buy one too. Didn't use the washer because it does not have dryer function. Cross the small zebra crossing opposite has local cooked food. Can stay at other rooms but not 17-07 for us due to the noise of busy road whole night motorcycles vroom past, even pillow can still hear the noise and woke up by noise. Windows closed, curtain closed still very loud. Owner is very prompt with messages. Thank you for the clean house.

Friendly and approachable counter staff and a chilled lemongrass drink served while checking in. Thank you for letting us check-in early, very much appreciated. So thoughtful of you by giving us a room with a view of a sea, pool and nature😁 Clean and spacious room but unwanted ‘guests’ too🦟😅 Super comfortable bed and different types of pillow’s filling that make us sleep better. Two great pools with one infinity and the other winding. Not forgetting the steamroom and whirlpool that make our body feel more relaxing. The gym room was also good with different machine for workouts. The Coral Lounge was fun that filled games like pool, carrom, table tennis and many other board games too. Walking along the beach was wonderful and the strong waves crashing was thrilling. The breakfast was great as the selection was wide and food was delicious especially the croissants and harsh brown… The food served by the various restaurant were sumptuous too. The waiter eagerly introduced their fresh seafood like the snapper, prawns and squid together with their special made sauce by the chef and it’s indeed awesome. Further more they gave 25% off (Visit Malaysia’s promotion) the bill which was a great deal. Yes, we will definitely come again 😁

Location near to ferry terminal,easy access to and from terminal to hotel because both in same building but different level. Ferry terminal at level two. Hotel lobby at level one. Service ok. Breakfast ok many choices But negative points, within and surrounding hotel there are clubs, noisy at night that disturb peace especially if your room is at lower level. Here the clubs n shop in building serve n sell liquor too...saw drunk lady outside hotel at night. Feel uncomfortable. Car park n hotel use different lift so has to ask security guard how to get to hotel lobby after parking at multilevel car park. Quite complicated so need to ask specific directions to hotel lobby from car park . Hotel building not new, but clean, room quite spacious, superb view from room at level 15 overlooking the sea.

Stayed at this guesthouse for three days and two nights, and overall it was pretty good. The lobby is spacious, and the sea view is fantastic. The room had all the basic amenities. Upon arrival, we picked up the keys from the guesthouse management office right by the entrance. There's an outdoor pool in the building, and a beach downstairs, though you can't swim there. On the first day, the kids even found some rare marine creatures on the beach!

Even though it was almost fully booked over the weekend, the hotel offered a quiet getaway, as its premises is huge with a variety of amenities. Nature inspired decorations don the common areas. The room is spacious and clean, with a sizable balcony that overlooks the outdoor playground and the sea in the background. The local cuisine at the restaurant is tasty. Over the weekend, food carts were set up at the hotel lobby, selling local and western fares, providing alternative food options. The food that we tasted, pizza, satay and char koay teow, surpassed our expectations. The hotel may be short-handed at times so expect longer waiting time but the service staff tried their best to deliver their service, which is commendable.

Enjoyed a lovely one-night stay at Tunamaya Hotel Desaru 🌊✨ The room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing ocean view — definitely a big plus that all rooms face the sea! Although some parts of the room looked a little worn off, the overall stay was still very relaxing and pleasant. The swimming pool was huge and perfect for chilling with family or friends. Breakfast was another highlight — lots of food choices and everything tasted really good 😋 Best part? The hotel has direct beach access, so it was super easy to enjoy the peaceful beach and catch a beautiful sunrise in the morning 🌅

An old but gold hotel right in front of the beach, perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a great view. While the property may be a little dated, it’s well-maintained and has all the essential amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The highlight for me was definitely the breakfast spread, it was excellent! There was a good variety including nasi lemak, noodles, porridge, and bread/toast, which made every morning enjoyable. What truly stood out was the service. The reception and restaurant staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful, making the overall experience even more pleasant. Overall, a charming stay with great hospitality and a fantastic beachfront location. Would definitely come back! 🌊

The room suite is spacious and clean. Private beach with water sports available. Facilities like swimming pool, water park, aviary, mini games arcade, mini zoo. Lots of activities at night. Children had a fun time blowing bubbles, playing arcade games, dancing etc.... There’s a wide variety of food choices available during buffet breakfast, and you can choose from three different restaurants to dine in for lunch and dinner(Seafood, steamboat, Korean, Indian). Convenience stores & gift shops available in the hotel. Helpful staffs. Highly recommended to all of you!

Direct access to Adventure Waterpark at level 1. All their staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy. There are many rooms so it is quite abit of walk. (but during holiday, it is very occupied so they did their best to allocate you the best room they have.) Carpark is open-area so only reaching your car is alittle hassle if is raining. The guards are really hardworking, as i did go to my car at 10pm, and the guard did stand around me to observe. (this is very good that they are alert). Royalty Lounge service is great especially when there is Imbitaas (may spell wrongly) and Bella. He is very knowledgeable and great hospitality service. As it was our first time to Desaru, he answered several of our questions with patience (including the hotel facilities etc). Check-in and out can be done at the lounge if you book the royalty suite. (its pricey thou). Food wise - can be improved. (however taste is subjective). There is always nearby eating place. Do consider to bring Hard Rock Cafe (Hong Kong, Singapore) food menu to Desaru. (not sure if they are linked corporation). Not necessary to book in Trip. can book direct too as we missed out certain package. will definitely come back again.
