"The staff was friendly, and the location is perfect, within walking distance of Castle Brown, Portofino Lighthouse, the Piazzaetta, a flavorful seafood restaurant, Trattoria Tripoli, and a beautiful hidden gem, Baia Cannone, just down the stairs outside the hotel. It is a small, secluded rocky cove known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. My husband enjoyed the swim in it."

Guest UserRoom spacious and quite comfortable although we had to ask for blankets not provided, no kettle. Information about the hotel and its facilities should be made available to guests in the room. I had to call reception but no number displayed. Big disappointment for access to the SPA which became chargeable (in previous years the SPA was included) and this information does not appear on the hotel website. And unfortunately, I chose this hotel to enjoy a moment of well-being with friends. Newcomer registration takes too long! We waited 30 minutes (2 couples in front of us) to go to reception. Despite the cleanliness of the establishment and the welcoming staff, we will not return to this establishment which needs to improve certain negative points (no toilets in the restaurant, you have to go down to the basement...)

Mark RipleyThis was potentially the best customer service I have ever received at a hotel. Unfortunately, I missed the name of the woman who checked me in, but she was wonderfully warm and bubbly. She welcomed me to Vernazza, offered genuinely helpful advice that enhanced my visit, and remained exceptionally kind and attentive throughout my short stay.
The room was small, as is common in the compact villages of the Cinque Terre, but it was comfortable, clean and excellent value for such a popular destination. The breakfast spread was also wonderful.
The location could hardly be more convenient. The hotel is only moments from the railway station, which was particularly appreciated when arriving with luggage, while the village, walking trails, trains and boat services are all within easy reach. It was an ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre by foot, rail and, of course, by boat.
As one of Vernazza’s relatively few traditional hotels, Pensione Sorriso also offers visitors an opportunity to support a local hospitality business rather than staying in a holiday flat. In small and heavily visited communities such as this, I believe that is well worth considering.
A welcoming, comfortable and memorable place to stay, made particularly special by the outstanding hospitality.

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Nazionale in Sanremo and could not have wished for a better experience.
The location is simply perfect: right on Corso Matteotti, just steps away from the famous Teatro Ariston and the sea.
The property is elegant and well-maintained in every detail. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered the comfort you would expect from a true 4-star hotel. Breakfast, served on the top floor with a spectacular view of the sea and city center, was one of the highlights of my stay: fresh products, a wide selection, and impeccable service.
A special thank you to the entire staff, who were exceptionally kind and professional—always ready to fulfill every request with a smile. A particular mention to the reception team, quick and extremely helpful with information and recommendations about the city.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Sanremo at its best: unbeatable location, excellent comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
I will definitely be back!

La reception è stata eccezionale: ci hanno mostrato tutto nei dettagli e ci hanno dato ottimi consigli su dove andare e cosa visitare. La struttura è pulitissima, confortevole e dotata di aria condizionata. La posizione è fantastica: vicinissima alla spiaggia, a ristoranti e caffè. Anche la stazione dei treni è vicina, quindi non serve prendere l'auto. Consigliatissimo!

The staff at Hotel al Sant’Andrea were TOP NOTCH! Very kind, informative, and always greeted us with a smile! The breakfast was basic but delicious and we always left full. The rooms were very basic and a bit run down but the beds were very comfortable. The rooms kind of felt like a dorm room to me. A/C worked well. Rooms were big for European hotel rooms (I’m Canadian and used to very large hotel rooms). The shower was very small but for only a 2 night stay it wasn’t a big deal. There was a mini fridge that actually kept items cold! I find hotel mini fridges are usually subpar. The location wasn’t ideal for us because the train station was a 15 minute walk away but if you are driving, location wouldn’t be an issue. We did not explore Sarzana, this was used as a home base to explore Cinque Terre, and for the price, I believe this hotel is worth it.

We stayed at Hotel San Desiderio for four nights, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring, making us feel as if we were staying in our own home rather than a hotel. Their warm hospitality made our trip even more special.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from both the beach and the train station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Our room was spotless and well maintained throughout our stay. We also loved the atmosphere of the hotel, which is beautifully decorated with photographs and paintings that give it a unique and artistic charm.
We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Hotel San Desiderio to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and authentic place to stay. We would be happy to return in the future.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, and shops. The staff are helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the beautiful view while having breakfast. The room is average in size but has air conditioning to keep it cool. Toiletries are also provided.
Cons
The room and bathroom are a bit small. The hotel is located on the fifth floor, and the old-fashioned elevator can only accommodate around four people, which makes riding it a little scary. The breakfast dining area is also quite small. Additionally, there were mosquitoes in our room, which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall
The hotel has a great location, helpful staff, and a lovely breakfast view. However, the small rooms, old elevator, limited breakfast space, and mosquitoes could be improved.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for the first time with our two children. We booked two rooms, both offering a stunning view of the sea. The atmosphere is charming and naturally elegant, enhanced by the historic character of the building. The staff was friendly and supportive throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of both international and local options. The beach is just across the street, only a two-minute walk, which was perfect for us. We also appreciated the hotel’s convenient parking, located just outside the building. The swimming pool with its bar was a highlight—an ideal spot to relax and enjoy an aperitif before dinner. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we would be happy to repeat in the future.

The hotel was excellent and in a great position in the town. The staff were excellent and very nice. The breakfast is a basic continental but it is very nice and the coffee was lovely. I would go back to this hotel again, no question. The spa swimming pool was cold and overall the spa wasn’t worth €18 each to go in but overall the hotel was superb. One thing the staff did do was cater for our need for having hot drinks in our room. No kettle provided but they were more than helpful in providing a tray and tea pots when needed. Gotta have our cup of tea in the morning. Thank you Hotel Europa!
