GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel with my family, hoping for a relaxing break. However, our experience was far from what we expected.
Upon check-in, there was no mention of any building works taking place. It wasn’t until later that we noticed a small sign in the hotel lift, casually mentioning that disturbances might occur between 9 AM and 5 PM from Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, this warning was not only insufficient but also inaccurate. We were rudely awakened at 7:15 AM by loud drilling, far earlier than the supposed start time.
When we went down for breakfast, we were shocked to find that the building work had already begun, well before 9 AM too. The noise and disruption made it impossible to enjoy and certainly not a relaxing start to the day. The coffee was dreadful, as another reviewer had mentioned, and the breakfast experience was further marred by the staff’s lack of attention. If you are lucky enough to have your table wiped, don’t expect it to be done with a clean cloth or any cleaning products. Rooms shabby, location however is good.
The situation worsened after we checked out. Despite having prepaid for our stay through Trip.com, we were charged again on our credit card for the entire stay, 24 hours after departure. This has resulted in the hassle of trying to get the hotel to refund us from overseas and we’ve had to engage our credit card company to assist with the dispute. While Trip.com has done their best to secure compensation for the building work disruption, the hotel has been utterly uncooperative occurring to trip.com seniors.
Adding insult to injury, we didn’t even receive a goodbye when we checked out—just a lacklustre experience from start to finish. This hotel is part of a large chain it seems, but it’s clear that they are not customer-focused at all. I would strongly advise reconsidering whether they deserve your money. There are plenty of other places that understand the basics of hospitality….. improvements needed!

GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice breakfast, good location, next to the shopping mall, restaurants, and train atation. Only dew minutes away from city center. The staff at the hotel are super friendly, helpful and polite. Room hotel was comfortable, makes you wanna stay all day long at the hotel :)

OOcheapStayed at Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel and really enjoyed the experience.
Location wise, it’s superb — very convenient and close to everything in central Stockholm.
I chose the Premium Room and it was very spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the city.
The breakfast was also great, with many delicious food options and everything tasted really good. Definitely a hotel I would stay at again when visiting Stockholm.

GGuest UserI needed to book a hotel due my delayed flight and surprisingly I found this one. Very clean, beautiful staff and comfortable, including a perfect Finnish sauna (as I am Finnish) LOVED IT. Thank you, I would recommend this anyone even longer time stay.

Firstly, the hotel's location is extremely convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro station, making it easy to get to, whether you're checking in with luggage or heading out for daily sightseeing. There are also supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes nearby, providing excellent amenities. Getting to all the major attractions in central Stockholm is quick and easy, which is especially convenient for independent travelers.
What impressed me most was the hotel's community atmosphere and quality of service. The staff were friendly and welcoming; they were always happy to help with check-in, transportation information, or recommendations for local attractions, making guests feel right at home. The hotel frequently hosts social events, which are great for travelers from all over the world to meet each other. This is particularly suitable for backpackers or solo travelers looking to easily make new friends and experience an international travel atmosphere.
The room also exceeded my expectations. It was spacious and comfortable, without the cramped feeling often found in youth hostels. The room design was simple yet stylish, and it was kept very clean. The beds were comfortable, ensuring excellent sleep quality. Whether it was a dorm room or a private room, there was ample space, making for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The bathrooms and public areas were also very well maintained, giving peace of mind.
In addition, the hotel's common areas are uniquely designed. The lobby has a fashionable and vibrant atmosphere with comfortable lounging areas, perfect for chatting with friends, working on a laptop, or simply relaxing. The Wi-Fi speed was stable, which is very convenient for guests who need to work online or plan their itinerary.
Overall, Generator Stockholm excels in terms of location, service, environment, facilities, and the overall accommodation experience. It offers high-quality accommodation at a reasonable price, coupled with a warm and friendly service team and comfortable, spacious rooms, which made the entire trip more enjoyable. If you're planning a trip to Stockholm, whether for a short stopover or a longer stay, I highly recommend choosing this hotel. GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at Story Hotel Stockholm Stureplan right in the heart of Stockholm. The location was unbeatable — just steps away from great shopping streets, excellent restaurants, and easy access to public transport, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. Many attractions like Nybroviken, Strandvägen promenade, and the metro are within walking distance, so it was incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, from check‑in to offering local tips. They made me feel truly welcome, and service throughout my stay was consistently excellent.
The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with modern design details that gave it a chic, Scandinavian vibe. While European city hotels sometimes have smaller rooms, everything felt well‑organized and cozy, and the comfortable bed ensured a great night’s sleep.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet — it offered a variety of tasty choices and was a great way to start each morning before heading out to explore.
The hotel also has a lively bar and restaurant downstairs, perfect for grabbing a drink or dinner without going far. The overall vibe of the property was modern and fun, making the stay feel more like a memorable experience than just another hotel visit.

Ppippi312This hotel was an absolute pleasant surprise! Though the room wasn't huge, it was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was particularly well-appointed with thoughtful details: the showerhead's button design was the most sensible and convenient I've encountered in any hotel, and the heated towel rail ensured soft, dry towels.
Getting here is incredibly convenient: from the airport, take bus 579 or 583 to Märsta, then transfer to Pendeltåg 40 or 41 and alight at Ulriksdal station. The hotel is just a one-minute walk to the right after exiting the station.
Bus 509 stops directly across the street from the hotel. A few stops will take you to Ulriksdal Palace – I highly recommend visiting if you have time, and don't miss the excellent desserts at its cafe! Alternatively, taking bus 509 in the opposite direction for about 10-15 minutes will bring you to Solna Centrum, which boasts a large supermarket and numerous shops.
A crucial tip: book well in advance! I secured a significant discount on the room rate by booking three months ahead. Also, be aware that in Swedish hotels, you typically need to proactively inform the front desk if you wish to have your room cleaned.

FFarah Binti RamliThe hotel’s location next to Gamla Stan was ideal for exploring Stockholm and perfectly suited our itinerary. The room was excellent, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. However, the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. So the breakfast room was not at its best, and the entrance was also under maintenance, with quite a few renovation materials placed in front of it. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

AAlannuoThe location is fantastic, just a six-minute walk from the central station, five minutes from the airport express, and ten minutes from the pedestrian shopping street. The hotel has a very large and tastefully decorated lobby, complete with a bass guitar available to play.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options.
However, the room lighting was dim, the shower door leaked, and the towels were old and worn (though they were replaced upon request). The hotel has many rooms, so getting to your room after taking the elevator can involve a long walk down the corridor. During the Christmas holiday, the hotel was not very busy.

GGuest UserEtt hem was part of the reason that we came to Stockholm!! We were very excited to come stay here as we have heard such great things from friends.
The whole concept is that it’s a home, and it really did feel like that! It felt as though we were staying at a friends home, where we can roam around all of the shared areas and spend time anywhere, in the living room, lounges, library, garden etc. The space was designed by a famous interior designer. Our room was an attic room that was quite beautiful. We also opted to have dinner at the house; the menu changes daily depending on what the chef orders in, and on our night it was delicious. We also used their spa room / sauna which was very enjoyable.
My only comment is that while the staff were all very friendly and nice, they were not always available to be found. At times I would need something and go to the main check in counter and there wouldn’t be anyone there, and I would have to roam around the house looking for someone. Same goes for the entrance. You have to ring the bell every time you come back to Ett Hem and on a few occasions, no one answered the door bell or they answered but didn’t follow up / open the door / or come to get us. I understand it’s a part of the casual home feel, but for a luxury hotel I would have preferred a little more availability…
Great stay overall though!!
