We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! If you're traveling by shuttle Go2Nsmibia and don't have a car, there are not many places to stay if you want to visit Sossusvlei. This hotel and Desert Quik Camp are among the cheapest places to stay near the national park gates. Pros: - Near the entrance to the national park - Amazing desert scenery - Kitchenette, BBQ and patio - Good bed, linens, powerful shower and air conditioning - Tours and transfers can be booked here - Clean pool and minibar - Grilled meat, bread and other items available for purchase The prices are reasonable, and the firewood is plentiful. Cons: - If you arrive without a rental car, you'll need to bring your own food, as the restaurant is located on the grounds of Sossuusvlei Lodge, 5 km across the desert from this camp. Breakfast is also served there! So, if you don't have a car, the breakfast option is pointless. - If you're going on a tour, you'll still need to get to Sos. Lodge and pay for the roundtrip transfer again (75N$ per persion one way). - You'll need a N$300 deposit for kitchen utensils. - Bottled drinking water is not provided in your room; commercial water is expensive, so it's best to bring your own. - There were stir fry vegetables in the ”grill” section. The vegetables turned out to be shredded and not suitable for grilling, and we bought two whole packs of them :(

Generally recommended. The location is fantastic, right on the track and one of the closest lodges to the Sossusvlei gate. The houses are very tidy and, above all, clean. It's self-catering, but you do notice that a few things are missing. I couldn't even find a spoon. No glasses, no hairdryer. However, this isn't a big deal since we simply dried our hair outside while sitting and gazing at the vast desert. Occasionally, an animal wanders past the room. Be sure to bring a flashlight at night, as it's completely dark. Breakfast and dinner are at the Sossusvlei Lodge, a 3-minute drive away. No shuttle, no problem. But we found the food to be rather poor. I'm not a vegetarian myself, but anyone who is will be disappointed. Meat, meat, meat everywhere. At both dinners, we and other guests were rudely and conspicuously asked to leave the restaurant, as if they wanted to get everyone out quickly, even though mealtimes still had over an hour to go. Oh well. The Wi-Fi is absurdly bad. The Wi-Fi coverage was abysmal, practically nonexistent. Service... what can you say? So far in Namibia, we've noticed a general coldness. Little personal interaction, little politeness; the bare minimum is said, and that's it. Whether at check-in or during meals. But when it comes to the bill, a quick, handwritten remark is often scribbled on it to try and squeeze out a few dollars in tips. Tip boxes are everywhere. The pool was freezing cold, but that seems to be the norm here in Namibia. The only question is why, since the sun should be heating the water continuously during the day at 35 degrees Celsius. Anyway, a quick dip and goodbye. We would still come back, though, because the lodges themselves are simply superb. This isn't some sparse camping situation, but rather a nice hotel with plenty of privacy.

Great lodge with beautiful views of the desert! Located next to the entrance to Sossusvlei Park, very convenient for an early departure. You can order breakfast to go for an excursion to Sossusvlei at dawn. A good dinner is included. You can see animals near the hotel. The downside is the early check out. I would like at least an hour later.

The hotel is quite beautiful, there is no wifi in the room, 3g is on the balcony. Breakfast is more basic, meat and eggs have to be ordered separately. Dinner is three-course, tastes good, the wine on the wine list is very cheap. The road conditions to the entrance of the park are average, there are seesaw sections, and it is good to get used to it.

Stop at the hotel with your husband and friends! Take 2 activities: wine delicacy and feeding hepards. Unfortunately not on safari time. Everything was very enjoyable! We are delighted! The rooms are very original! The food is delicious! From the soul I recommend!

我在xc上預訂了該酒店，6月13日晚入住，但最終沒能睡在酒店的床上。原因竟然是前台晚上8點後就不工作了，也就是説，到了20點，酒店工作人員就下班了。你可以有理由説，酒店已明確告知預訂酒店的住客前台衹接待到晚上8點。但你有沒有想過，萬一住客晚到怎麼辦？萬一住客晚上身體不舒服或發生意外怎麼辦？難道你不可以在醒目的地方，同樣安民告示酒店工作人員離開前台時的聯繫方式、晚上8點後酒店值班人員的房間號碼？我到了酒店，尋遍工作人員可能工作的場所，沒找到一名工作人員。這家酒店地處荒野，沒有手機信號，無法聯繫平台。在不得已的情況下，斗膽敲了一間還未熄燈的住客的房間，一對澳大利亞老年夫婦主動幫我們也在酒店尋找工作人員，但毫無結果，最後我們身子在旅館，卻衹能坐在車裡熬夜，那對澳大利亞夫婦怕我們晚上受凍，特地拿了兩條毯子給我們。第二天清晨，酒店方得知情況後，安排我們吃早餐，讓我們進房間休息，可我們怎麼能休息呢？我們的行程是既定的，預訂的旅館無法更改，當天還得趕到下一個景點和住宿地。雖然酒店方為我們準備了途中的點心，我們也感受到了酒店方的歉意，但是真正的歉意是退還我們的住宿費，因為我們根本沒入住，而且是在車裡熬了一夜，一夜未能躺平、伸直雙腿的煎熬酒店方能體會到嗎？我們的遭遇，平台非常同情，多次與酒店交涉，拿到錢的酒店卻一分錢也不願吐出來，最後是xc全額退還了我們的住宿費。我覺得該酒店的所謂規定，既不人道，也不合理，還缺乏應有的補救措施。 圖一，酒店地處荒野，附近幾公里範圍內，沒有人煙、沒有商店、沒有旅館。 圖二，酒店距著名的死亡谷景點有一百多公里，住客若是要欣賞死亡谷的晚霞，恐怕晚上8點前趕不到酒店。 圖三，死亡谷的紅色沙丘。

This is a pleasant place! The hotel itself is in a small town! A delicious breakfast, excellent rooms! Recommended!!
