what a pretty orchid garden in Botanics garden ! There are a huge variety of orchids being maintained here.
MoreVisit the National Orchid Garden in Singapore for an opportunity to view exquisite orchid blossoms spread across three hectares of ground. Your trip to the garden takes you through the carefully planted and displayed plants separated into four zones. Each zone corresponds to a season and showcases shrubs, plants, herbs and flowers divided by colors aligned to the season. For example, the winter zone features white and blue blossoms with complementary plants. The National Orchid Garden offers you choices ranging from a quiet stroll through the blossoms to educational activities designed to explain the horticultural methods used to develop the gardens.
Since 1859, orchids have been closely associated with the Gardens. The products of the Gardens' orchid breeding programme, which began in 1928, deserve a place where they can be displayed in their full splendour. The very design of these orchids is, one could say, 'hand-crafted' by the Gardens' horticultural staff, dedicated to bringing out the finest in any hybrid cross.
With over 1000 species and 2000 hybrids on display, the splendour of these gorgeous blooms is absolutely a sight to behold at the National Orchid Garden.

Happened to bump into the free admission due to school holidays ! Located within the Singapore National Botanical Gardens, this is a must see in its own right. The orchard garden house a plethora of orchid species, many native to Singapore only. It’s a pretty huge area and it takes about 45 minutes to one hour to walk around and appreciate the whole of the garden. One of the standout parts of the orchid garden are the unique species of orchid that are created for visiting dignitaries such as Obama, fellow Sultans and many more. These are really interesting. There is also a 'Sembcorp Coolhouse' that's worth seeing to. It’s a refreshing and cooling spot after a long walk in botanical garden. The architecture and floral arrangements are very well-thought and gives you a sense of peace and very impressed by the work. Even the cement flooring fits in with the floral theme that has leaves and floral patterns on it! Overall the orchid garden is a must visit if you are in Singapore 🌼
