Kampong Buangkok

The last kampong located in Hougang Singapore. Houses built by wood and zinc with sand and rock road that uneven. Visit them before it gone and free to explore many kinds of herbs and fruit plants too

I visited the last kampong of our little kampong country. I have never stayed in a kampong before and wanted to see how it looks like. It’s like entering into the history of Singapore. Fresh air and a good place to visit with someone who used to stay in a kampong. They will tell you the stories and their memories staying there.

This is opp my house and we cycle there quite often. It’s gives a nostalgia feeling reflecting our past where the older generation lives.
