Tong'an Confucius Temple is located on the West Bank of Chengdongxi in Tong'an District, next to Tong'an Experimental Primary School, opposite Tong'an Hotel. It is said that it was built in the Five Dynasties. It is estimated that it was built after Tong'an County was established, but it was destroyed later. Now most of it is seen during the reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty and after the founding of the People's Republic. Tuesday to Sunday is free, and Monday is closed. Entering the gate, there is a precious teak tree in the courtyard for nearly a hundred years. It is said that it was introduced from abroad by Chen Jiageng in the last century. Teak trees are now mature, with fruit hanging on them, leaves as big as hats, tall and luxuriant, very spectacular. Passed the archway of "Xingxian Yucai" is Qingyun Road, climbing the steps is a small section of the ancient city wall. On the north side are stone carving exhibition halls, stone beasts, stone lions, stone horses, stone generals, etc., collected from Tong'an from the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. On the gallery beside the showroom, besides the stone tablets, there is also a wall of "Qixue Card". The students have their own wishes, trembling and panic. The main building is the Dacheng Hall, in which statues of Confucius are worshipped. On the beams there are plaques of "Master Wanshi Watch". On both sides there are some antique musical instruments and statues of Confucius'apprentices. There are two exhibition halls in the Hall. There are not many exhibits, mainly some pictures and words. We can get a general idea of the historical events and figures in Tong'an. During the Spring Festival holidays, the temple is quiet and quiet. It takes less than an hour to walk around slowly.
