Xiamen's First "Rooftop" Thai Street Food Stall | Experience Thai Charm

It has been quite some time since my last visit to Thailand! Every time I think of the street food in Thailand, my mouth waters uncontrollably! However, in Xiamen, you don't have to travel to Thailand to enjoy delicious Thai cuisine! I previously discovered a Thai food stall hidden on a rooftop on Houjiangdai Road, and I took advantage of the weekend to check it out! This Thai food stall, named Baba Street, is located on the third floor of the Houjiangdai Park. The elevator takes you directly there, and as soon as the doors open, you are greeted with a strong Thai ambiance. The various decorations truly recreate the Thai street scene. There's an outdoor seafood pool, a street-style cocktail bar, and even a Thai tricycle that has been turned into a photo wall. It's a great place for taking pictures! Especially when night falls, having a drink and some Thai snacks here is a truly immersive experience. Additionally, there are two small private rooms on the fourth-floor rooftop, which can be reserved in advance if you have a large group. Volcano Ribs, a must-try when eating Thai food, is something I've been craving since I saw it on a Thai night market food show on TV! Today, I ordered a whole portion of it, which was full of spices. The soup was absolutely divine, sour and refreshing, making the pork bone meat taste delicious. Wearing gloves and gnawing directly on the bones was incredibly satisfying. Green Papaya Seafood Salad, a very summery dish, is perfect as an appetizer! Shrimp, green mussels, crab sticks, and the key ingredient, green papaya, are all drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce. One bite can awaken your taste buds. The green papaya is refreshing and crisp, with a hint of seafood flavor. It's very Thai. Tom Yum Grilled Fish, my first time trying it! As usual, I started with a sip of Tom Yum soup, which had the same sour, spicy, and milky flavor. The fish meat, of course, also had the flavor of Tom Yum, with a charred aroma and a sour and spicy taste. Moreover, the fish had few bones, making it a good choice for those who love fish but fear bones. The dish also had plenty of ingredients, such as clams, crab sticks, fish balls, seafood mushrooms, quail eggs, etc. It was enough to fill up two people. Tom Yum Crayfish, if there's Tom Yum Grilled Fish, naturally there's Tom Yum Crayfish! However, their Tom Yum dishes are indeed quite good! The crayfish are fresh and thoroughly cleaned, and each one is full of meat. Paired with the Tom Yum soup, it's both fresh and sour-spicy, a very intriguing taste. Curry Crayfish, the curry-flavored crayfish is also quite special. Because the crayfish are cleaned thoroughly, you can directly pick them up and suck the soup, which is incredibly delicious! After peeling the shrimp, dip it in some curry, it's divine. Baba Night Market Volcano Ramen Cup, a whole cup of fried ramen, looks very appetizing! Moreover, the ingredients inside are quite abundant. If you come alone, order a portion with a cup of Thai milk tea, it's just right for a single meal. For snacks, I ordered Satay Chicken Skewers and Sago Coconut Cake. The satay sauce on the chicken skewers was amazing! The chicken was also very tender. The Sago Coconut Cake is really suitable for summer, it's cold, sweet, and very refreshing! After eating one piece, I wanted another. In addition, there's a 28 yuan DIY cocktail set meal, which allows for free combination and is quite good! Each one is full of creativity! In the hot summer of June, invite some good friends to experience the Thai style together~ Restaurant | Baba Street•Thai Food Stall Market (Houjiangdai Branch) Location | 3rd Floor, No. 29 Houjiangdai Road (Turn right and take the elevator to the 3rd floor after entering Houjiangdai Park)
