Xinyu

Xinyu is located in the central western part of Jiangxi Province, between the two provincial capitals Nanchang and Changsha. The city was built more than 1700 years ago. The city is surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side. The Kongmu and Yuan Rivers pass through the city. Baoshi Park lies to the south of the city, while Yangtiangang Forest Park lies to the north. To the east of the city is Kongmu River National Wetland Park, Xiannu Lake is to the west. The city is dotted with lakes, including North Lake, Xianlai Lake, Changlin Lake, South Lake, and Wanjing Lake. Xinyi also features natural and cultural sights such as Hongyang Cave, Changshan Ancient Temple, and Yansong Wannian Bridge.
