In 1989, an archaeological excavation on the east bank of the Gan River in Xingan County, Jiangxi Province, awakened a king who had slumbered for 3,000 years. The king's burial objects were extremely rich and luxurious. Among them, a pair of large bronze yue (axes) demonstrated the king's supreme power. Although the sand obscured the king's face, it could not hide the king's former dignity and power. The king returns, his majesty remains. The Xingan Tombs are a large, square royal mausoleum. 475 bronze artifacts, 754 jade artifacts, and 139 pottery artifacts were unearthed from the site. Archaeological excavations have revealed that the Xingan Tombs are the largest Shang Dynasty tombs in China with the most abundant variety of unearthed bronze artifacts. They are known as one of the three major discoveries of Shang Dynasty bronzes, along with the Tomb of Fu Hao at Yinxu and the Sanxingdui sacrificial pits, and are known as the "Bronze Treasury of the South of the Yangtze River." The highly developed bronze civilization represented by the Xingan Tombs, Wucheng, and Niutoucheng has changed people's understanding of the ancient civilization in the Gan River Basin and reshaped the cultural landscape of the Chinese Bronze Age. The discovery of the Xingan Tombs has advanced the study of Chinese bronze civilization and the entire history and culture of the Shang Dynasty to a new stage, and is a major breakthrough in archaeology in southern China.

Jiangxi Provincial Museum (New Museum) is the largest comprehensive museum in Jiangxi Province and a national first-class museum. It is open to the public for free, but you need to make a real-name reservation in advance through the official website or WeChat official account of Jiangxi Provincial Museum. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00, with the last admission at 16:00, and closed on Mondays (except for public holidays). The design of the new museum is inspired by a square box, symbolizing a treasure box. It has six floors, with four floors open for exhibitions, and ten exhibition halls, making it an ideal place to explore the rich history and culture of Jiangxi. The museum has a rich collection: Jiangxi Provincial Museum houses more than 34,000 precious cultural relics, among which the ceramics unearthed from various places in Jiangxi are the most eye-catching. There are free guided tours of the Jiangxi History Hall at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm. I arrived at the museum after 10:00 am, missed the history hall tour, but caught the free guided tour of the Ceramic Culture Hall at 10:30 am. The beautiful volunteer originally announced that the tour would last for half an hour, but it actually lasted for an hour. Even so, both the visitors and the guide were still unsatisfied. Thumbs up for the guide! And also for the rich collection of the museum! Then I went to the History Hall. I recommend listening to the free guided tour or hiring a guide, otherwise, you won't be able to appreciate the long history of Nanchang in Jiangxi. There are many treasures in the museum, with unique shapes and exquisite craftsmanship, which are definitely worth seeing in person. I have to praise the storage area of Jiangxi Museum. The counter outside says "Storage Area". I was about to store my luggage when the lady behind the counter pointed me to turn around the counter (it turned out to be just a guide counter) and enter a lobby. It was the largest storage area I have ever seen. There were two attendants at the counter, two rows of large storage racks against the wall, and a large empty space in the middle for luggage. It was really convenient and fast!
