Azalea in cherry blossoms
Kirakuen has a strong image of plum blossoms, but you can also enjoy the azalea season. It is a very gorgeous garden with beautiful azaleas in full bloom.

At the festival held during Golden Week at Kairakuen in Mito, I was able to see various azaleas and enjoyed the wonderful scenery.

The garden of Kairakuen is wonderful. I've been to the plum season before, but it doesn't have to be cold in the azalea season. Since my friend moved to Mito, I have come to this area more recently.

Kirakuen is famous as a famous place for plum blossoms, but during Golden Week, the 33rd "Mito Azalea Festival" was held this year, and I enjoyed it with azaleas. In Kirakuen, the bright red Kirishima azalea was especially wonderful, but there were also dodan azaleas and white and pink azaleas near Kobuntei.
